I'm going to lose 2 & 1/2 stone

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 25/03/2018 22:36

By 25th June ...

I go on holiday the next day and I just refuse to be fat in 35 degree heat. I last went away two years ago and I'd never experienced this thing called 'chub rub.' I experienced it alright then! Hideous

I'll weigh in tomorrow and record it in here. I'll list my daily food and exercise sessions and I'm sure anyone reading will be positively riveted.

I'm planning on the 8 week blood sugar diet I think - it gives fast results but you're still eating real food and I just don't have it in me to do the whole shake thing right now.

I do Pilates around 3 it so times a week - mainly because it doesn't get my heart rate up and my make up stays intact. I'm working up to something that actually burns some fat. On the plus side - I can touch my toes

I'm 5 ft 4 and I'm very overweight really. I have a wardrobe filled with every size from 8 to 14 and since Christmas I've been firmly in the 14s and today I reached for my only size 16 pair of jeans and they bloody fit

I've had enough of the junk food I've been living on so day one is tomorrow and I WILL lose these couple of stones. Not aiming for skinny - I just want to feel comfortable

You're welcome to join me and we can keep each other going. And then, come June 25th, we can disappear into the ether again

Or I'll just talk to myself? Let's see

So, today I've had:

oatmeal porridge made with water,
an apple.

black tea,
black coffee,
water throughout the day.

salmon,
salad of mixed leaves,
cucumber,
cherry tomatoes,
one satsuma.

a two-egg omelette,
chopped onion fried in olive oil.

Total 798 calories.

I've weighed myself and taken 'before' measurements.

Roly, I'll weigh in next Monday and share final measurements in eight weeks.

Good luck everyone Star.

athingthateveryoneneeds · 27/03/2018 19:16

Thanks everyone. I'm hoping the next 30-ish lbs come off without much hassle. Haha.

Today I've had:

Porridge with plum, apricot and banana 363

Vegetables, rice, quorn sausages 523

Veggie lasagna 688

I might have a sliver of cake later tonight. I shouldn't have had such a cheesy/calorific dinner though...! Only 126 calories left today so it'll have to be a tiny tiny sliver...

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 27/03/2018 20:33

Excellent days food! I need to learn from you both and try actually putting some meals together for tomorrow

Food times ..

1 x pot total full fat yogurt
Teaspoon chia seeds
Sprinkling blueberries

Quorn stir fry

2 x baby bel light
Pear

Baked apple with butter, cinnamon and 2 medjool dates

Total calories ...784

I always start my day with bulletproof coffee regardless of whether I'm on track or not and I made the decision not to include my coffee. It's only ever one and I don't drink coffee at any other time

XRayYankee · 27/03/2018 20:47

I find that my meals start getting very samey, and I need to make a conscious effort to mix things up.

I've got some lovely full fat Greek yogurt for breakfast tomorrow, and some pork steaks and roasted veg for dinner Grin.

Wallywobbles · 27/03/2018 21:33

I'm not sure if I'm really in the right head space for this but I've promised myself that I will lose 8kg by 26 April preferably without lobbing off a limb. Started Sunday and 2.4kgs down.

Doing my version of a VLCD which is
Breakfast: slim and save porridge (cos I actually like it) with chia seeds-2tsp, black coffee.

Lunch (restaurant) today small steak, lettuce no vinaigrette, blue cheese sauce.

Supper frozen mixed veg and spinach and a hot pot packet. And a 9 calorie jelly.

Total in MFP around 600 cals. Also swam 1km.

Wallywobbles · 28/03/2018 07:08

400g off since yesterday. Total now to 2.8kg or 6.6 lbs

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 28/03/2018 09:36

Morning all

I'm going to try and mix things up a bit today so I've started with the same breakfast as yesterday Grin

Aiming for lower sugar. I've downloaded the nutracheck app even though I was unconvinced I needed it and must say, it's pretty good. I had two medjool dates in my baked apple yesterday and see the sugar in them was just off the scale. I know it's naturally occurring etc etc but still... I won't have them today

Hopped on scales as in one of those twatty daily weighters .. I won't update until Monday though but there's a definite downward trend

Good luck everyone for today

athingthateveryoneneeds · 28/03/2018 09:38

My scales are so crap. I can't weigh daily because it fluctuates by 2-3 lbs at a time. I have to fiddle with the dial constantly to get it back to zero. Sigh.

Titsywoo · 28/03/2018 10:41

It's my weight in day tomorrow. The first half of the week was ok but had a few hiccups with lunches out but I've been doing well since Monday. My period is due to start soon though so that might mean my weight loss is less than it should be this week.

XRayYankee · 28/03/2018 11:21

I'm a daily weigher too Smile.

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 28/03/2018 14:22

I can never resist hopping on and off but I only ever take the weekly weigh in as my official one. I’m lucky in that my scales don’t fluctuate - which is actually a curse sometimes. I’d be quite happy to see an overnight loss of a stone or something 😂

Lunch today was quite nice .. it was a no carb ploughmans although I have to say it was quite unlike any ploughman’s I may have had in the past. I usually add chips and bread to mine and about ten times the cheese

anyway, it consisted of ... vegan slices ( yes they’re as bad as they sound but edible), 3 x shallots, 2 x babybels, celery and small handful of walnuts.

R4asing that back, it was just some bits assembled on a plate Hmm

Heartshapedfairylights · 28/03/2018 18:02

I’ve always been obsessed with the scales, weighing myself daily, if not more.

I’m convinced this has been my problem. I get upset if I gain a pound or two despite efforts to exercise and eat properly.

Well, i’ve had a revelation!

My gym has got a machine which scans you for fat, muscle, water and bone mass. I stood on it today, after a week on my new plan. I had gained a pound (normally I would have been disappointed) but I could see that my water content was up and I had lost 2lbs of fat and gained 2lbs of muscle. This has really motivated me and i’d recommend having a go on one of these machines if you can!

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 28/03/2018 18:21

I like the sound of that machine! I feel it would become a new obsession for me though, but I love the sound of the scanning body fat

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 28/03/2018 18:34

Well so much for actually having proper meals today! I keep wanting cheese etc not vegetables

Food times

Total fat free yogurt
1/2 scoop whey protein powder
Chia seeds
Blueberries

No carb ploughman's

Pot of cottage cheese with raspberries

Total cals - 746

OP posts:
XRayYankee · 28/03/2018 19:07

Today's meals:

Yogurt, nuts and seeds.

Herb omelette, onions and cherry tomatoes.

Pork steak and roasted veg.

Black tea, black coffee, water.

Total calories: 805.

Titsywoo · 28/03/2018 19:34

Today I had:

B - Wholemeal roll with a veggie sausage and a nectarine
D - Salmon fillet, pesto pasta and broccoli

Titsywoo · 28/03/2018 19:46

Not really counting cals as on SW but no more than 1300 cals

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 28/03/2018 21:29

Yay - go us!

Anyone else using the nutracheck app? I think I read it on this thread and downloaded it not expecting much. It's bloody brilliant! I'd like the option to set it to 800 cals but it won't go lower than 1200.. apart from that, it's really decent

I am starting to feel better and lighter. Hoping for a reasonable loss on Monday morning. Err despite it only being Wednesday evening now Grin

Hi everyone! :) I started in Feb at 13st 1lb and around 2.5 to lose. I'm 5'9 and will be into a healthy weight at 12'2 but am aiming for around 10 and a half (11 maybe - see when I get there!). I've lost 9lb so far and my target of at least being 11 stone before holidays at the end of June is starting to look a bit stretching. I've only lost half a pound over the last two weeks as I've had a few things on and also getting a bit bored. I'm just using MFP and calories counting but not really doing any exercise so that's limiting me to 1200 a day.

My DS2 (age 16) is doing it with me and he has lost 1stone 2lbs so far! He still needs to lose between 1 and 1.5 stone but we'll see when he gets a bit more off. It doesn't help that his brother who has a BMI of 21 lost 2lbs last week whilst still tucking into lashings of peanut butter and twice as much food as anyone else - he doesn't really exercise, just has a fast metabolism and is having healthy dinners (with extra added as he doesn't need to lose any more!)

MagicJay · 29/03/2018 09:22

Please can I join. 5’3” and 11.6 stone. Feel horrible and it is all down to diet. I exercise four tunes a week and have an active job and walk the dog too so it is definitely the amount and type of food I eat. I am on medication that can make weight loss difficult but I’m not in a position to make excuses now. Something has to change.

XRayYankee · 29/03/2018 09:57

Morning!

Today's plan is yogurt and an apple for breakfast, stuffed mushrooms for lunch and chicken salad for dinner.

I'll check back in later Smile.

MagicJay · 29/03/2018 11:47

Just seconding the vote for Rebelfit. I'm so much stronger since starting with their missions.

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 29/03/2018 12:37

Thanks Bear - I'll take a look

Yes I like Rebelfit - although there's also parts I don't like too much. It's well worth checking out though

Not eaten yet as been too busy but starting the day with full fat yogurt, raspberries, chia seeds and walnuts

OP posts:
XRayYankee · 29/03/2018 19:22
