I'm going to lose 2 & 1/2 stone

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 25/03/2018 22:36

By 25th June ...

I go on holiday the next day and I just refuse to be fat in 35 degree heat. I last went away two years ago and I'd never experienced this thing called 'chub rub.' I experienced it alright then! Hideous

I'll weigh in tomorrow and record it in here. I'll list my daily food and exercise sessions and I'm sure anyone reading will be positively riveted.

I'm planning on the 8 week blood sugar diet I think - it gives fast results but you're still eating real food and I just don't have it in me to do the whole shake thing right now.

I do Pilates around 3 it so times a week - mainly because it doesn't get my heart rate up and my make up stays intact. I'm working up to something that actually burns some fat. On the plus side - I can touch my toes

I'm 5 ft 4 and I'm very overweight really. I have a wardrobe filled with every size from 8 to 14 and since Christmas I've been firmly in the 14s and today I reached for my only size 16 pair of jeans and they bloody fit

I've had enough of the junk food I've been living on so day one is tomorrow and I WILL lose these couple of stones. Not aiming for skinny - I just want to feel comfortable

You're welcome to join me and we can keep each other going. And then, come June 25th, we can disappear into the ether again

Or I'll just talk to myself? Let's see

An excellent day X Ray. Are you finding it hard going or ok?

Food times

Full fat Greek yogurt
Chia seeds
Raspberries

Quorn stir fry

Protein bar

1 x babybel

822 calories today

I MUST attempt some different food tomorrow

thenewaveragebear1983 · 29/03/2018 21:18

Are you vegetarian roly? I do BSD and today I attempted a vegetarian day, just for a change. My 800 cals looked like this:
100 ml semi skimmed in coffees
30g avocado
25g cheddar
5 cherry toms
50g cucumber

Vege/lentil chilli made with taco mixed beans, haricot beans, merchant gourmet puy lentils in French Tom sauce, tinned toms, chilli, courgette, mushroom and red pepper. Served with 100g cauliflower and 20g Parmesan
Greek yoghurt and a kiwi fruit

It was nice to have what feels like a lot of bulk for the calories, and it felt quite ‘carby’ although was still Only 45g carbs. It probably wouldn’t be enough fat for me to do regularly though, I’d be hungry. Came in at 807 calories.

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 29/03/2018 21:37

Yes I'm vegetarian Bear - with the added complication that I don't like eggs, don't like onions and detest tinned tomatoes and anything curry related.

I do like avocados though so that's a good shout for tomorrow. Err I usually eat the entire avocado Grin

How much have you lost on BSD?

I'm finding it ok at the moment, thanks, Roly.

It's still early days and my motivation is good. I tend to get either bored or complacent after a while, hence joining this thread for inspiration and support Smile.

Titsywoo · 29/03/2018 22:03

5.5lbs off this week! Had a wonderful steak tonight and feeling very pleased with myself. Would love to lose 3lbs this week so that is my goal!

XRayYankee · 29/03/2018 22:05

Well done Titsywoo.

I would love a loss like that Smile.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 29/03/2018 22:27

Roly I’ve been doing it on and off for about 2 years, i lost 21lb the first round, then regained a few. Then since January I’ve lost 18lb (ish) although I’m doing it the 5:2 way this time.

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 30/03/2018 08:52

Very well done titsy, that's a loss to be proud of

Bear - I'll give the avocado a go today I think. And that's a great loss you've had yourself. You must be pleased

OP posts:
RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 30/03/2018 08:55

X - I'm the same. I'm the worlds nowt motivated dieter and then ... I'm not

I've been really stupid though and put on so much since last summer. And a whole stone since Christmas if not more! Really stupid

Plus I got my initial weigh in wrong from my first few posts on this thread. I was actually 13 st 6! How terrible is that?! Ugh

Let's see what Monday weigh in brings. I'm determined to be 10 stone 13lbs on June 25th!!!

OP posts:
WoahBodyforrrrm · 30/03/2018 09:00

I’m in! I’m going away on the 6th June and would love to have shifted 2st by then. I’m going to try and go relatively low carb and only have them at breakfast or lunchtime.

For example I will have:

B- 1/2 poached egg on one slice of brown toast
L - a few tablespoons of beans on white slice of brown toast
D - omelet with salad or some kind of meat and veg —oooo errrr misses— or salad

I’m going to find the Easter break a challenge but don’t have time to mess around now!
I’m also somewhere in the 13st now, I start to look plump when I hit 10st so you can imagine how I’m looking at the moment. So I’ll be going on holiday plump but I’ll take that, I just don’t want to go away fat!
Let’s do this 💪🏼

thenewaveragebear1983 · 30/03/2018 09:03

Thanks roly, it’s not earth shattering to be honest compared to some of the mega losses I read about on threads like this- but I’m determined to do it this time and every pound helps doesn’t it? Plus when you HFLC you get extra benefits like lovely soft skin and glossy hair which are bonuses!

whyareyoucrying · 30/03/2018 09:57

Late to the game (as usual) but can I join in? I've lost 2 stone since Christmas but have been stuck at 11st 5 for a month as I slacked off a bit. I want to get to 9st 7.

I will restart logging everything with mfp today.

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 30/03/2018 10:16

Welcome crying

Woah - yes I look chubby over about 11 stone. I'm a size 10 usually (weeps as now I'm obviously not) but I'm always a chunky size 10. I don't care about that though - I just like to feel my normal self and wear my usual clothes instead of always having to consider what is bloody covering the most

Bear - you've done a cracking job so far.

athingthateveryoneneeds · 30/03/2018 10:21

Trying to resist the urge to weigh myself today... I want.to wait a few.more days because my scales are so naff and don't measure small losses accurately.

But a few nsv from yesterday- a lovely charity shop coat that I couldn't bear passing up but was too small, still too small but I can do up the buttons. I look like a stuffed sausage in it yet so probably won't be able to wear it until the autumn. but I'm getting there. A few other items of clothing are fitting better. :)

TheInedibleWoman · 30/03/2018 10:30

I'm late to the game too but would love to join. I have a holiday booked for 27 may. I'm 5ft4, weigh 13st and refuse to buy a size16. My 14's are just fitting me! Aiming to lose 2st overall, but would be happy with 1.5 for my hols.

TheInedibleWoman · 30/03/2018 10:37

Not shaming anyone for their clothes size by the way, just my own personal thing!

WaxOnFeckOff · 30/03/2018 10:46

Clothes size is a strange one though. I'm at 12'4 as of today and am 5'9 and a bit, I'm a 14 and that's a Next 14 so probably on the generous side. It's really hard to tell. At my lightest as an adult I was about a 10 at 9 stone.

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 30/03/2018 10:48

Athing - I'd have bought the coat too! I'm a clothes fiend and have so so so many that right now I'd literally be squeezing myself into.

I'm the same re clothes sizes. It's all relative. I don't want to go up to a size 16 so it's damage limitation right now

Had a different breakfast!

1/2 small ish avocado
5 cherry tomatoes
2 Brazil nuts
1 x cheddar cheese mini stick

Total of 273 calories so will see how long that keeps me going for

OP posts:
TheInedibleWoman · 30/03/2018 10:57

Clothes sizes are baffling tbh. My happy size is a 10/12, and even then I tend to weigh around 10/10.5 st, so who knows eh! I've started c25k to kick start my exercise again and am working up to logging everything in mfp 😣

athingthateveryoneneeds · 30/03/2018 11:27

I can fit into size 16, 14, 12, 10.... Doesn't make sense.

athingthateveryoneneeds · 30/03/2018 11:27

Oh, and my teenager's size 8 hoodie!

XRayYankee · 30/03/2018 12:25

I have a family event in May and am planning to wear a dress like this (same colour and length, but with a collar and a shirt style fastening at the front).

It's currently stuffed in a drawer, but I'm going to press it and hang it on the wardrobe door for inspiration.

It's from Debenhams, size 12, but it's a very snug fit, more like a 10.

I'm going to lose 2 & 1/2 stone
RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 30/03/2018 15:32

Lovely dress. And a great idea to have something inspirational to slim into. I might do the very same

Ugh been as sick as a dog today. Puked three times, feel nauseous and sicky and tired

I don't think it's a bug. Could it be the high fat consumed today? I had my usual bulletproof coffee made with butter and mct oil - I have this every single day and have for a few years now. I then had a high fat breakfast of avocado cheese and a couple of nuts - soooo that's quite a lot of fat isn't it? Albeit good fats

OP posts:
RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 30/03/2018 15:32

I'm only just thinking I should eat again so I've opted for a total fat free yogurt with why protein powder and a few blueberries so no fat really

OP posts:
thenewaveragebear1983 · 30/03/2018 16:46

Roly if you’re doing BSD you need fats, they should be a large proportion of your calories. Think of it as ‘low calorie portions of high calorie foods’- admittedly, it goes against all diet wisdom, and the first few days you’ll be hungry, but once you get fully fat-adapted you’ll be fine!
