I'm going to lose 2 & 1/2 stone

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 25/03/2018 22:36

By 25th June ...

I go on holiday the next day and I just refuse to be fat in 35 degree heat. I last went away two years ago and I'd never experienced this thing called 'chub rub.' I experienced it alright then! Hideous

I'll weigh in tomorrow and record it in here. I'll list my daily food and exercise sessions and I'm sure anyone reading will be positively riveted.

I'm planning on the 8 week blood sugar diet I think - it gives fast results but you're still eating real food and I just don't have it in me to do the whole shake thing right now.

I do Pilates around 3 it so times a week - mainly because it doesn't get my heart rate up and my make up stays intact. I'm working up to something that actually burns some fat. On the plus side - I can touch my toes

I'm 5 ft 4 and I'm very overweight really. I have a wardrobe filled with every size from 8 to 14 and since Christmas I've been firmly in the 14s and today I reached for my only size 16 pair of jeans and they bloody fit

I've had enough of the junk food I've been living on so day one is tomorrow and I WILL lose these couple of stones. Not aiming for skinny - I just want to feel comfortable

You're welcome to join me and we can keep each other going. And then, come June 25th, we can disappear into the ether again

Or I'll just talk to myself? Let's see

Oh I'm not hungry Bear - well, I am right now but only because I've been so sick - I just wonder if the overload today has caused the vomiting?

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 30/03/2018 17:37

Right this time I've managed more than one spoon of my yogurt thing and I'm sat up again and feeling a bit better and not so sick now so Christ knows what that was all about

Hopefully just a 24hr bug, although those nasty Norovirus bugs can really knock you sideways can’t they?

XRayYankee · 30/03/2018 18:53

I hope you get sorted Roly. You don't want a nasty bug on a bank holiday weekend Flowers.

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 30/03/2018 19:20

I've emerged! Feeling more or less normal now. Truly think it was just a bit too much fat when combined with my bulletproof coffee

Food times

1/2 avocado
Cherry tomatoes
Piece of cheese
2 Brazil nuts

Total fat free yogurt
Blueberries
Whey protein powder

Tablespoon of pine nuts
2 x mini babybel
Pear

Total cals - 762

OP posts:
XRayYankee · 30/03/2018 21:04

Today:

Bacon
Eggs
Tinned tomatoes

Large latte
Black tea
Water

Greek yogurt
Blueberries

Total 699.

Been out most of the day and choices were not good, so I skipped lunch, but did not miss it, to be honest.

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 31/03/2018 10:14

Morning losers! (Hopefully)

Ditched my bulletproof coffee this morning which felt a bit weird. I always have it! Can’t risk feeling so bad again though today as I’ve got meetings on and off and can’t be puking. So I’ve had a normal coffee with some skimmed milk and it was shit but whatever

Breakfast was a pot of full fat Greek yogurt with blueberries and chia seeds and I’ve got a couple of pieces of gum and 750ml water to keep me going

athingthateveryoneneeds · 31/03/2018 11:00

Ran out of time to eat breakfast this morning before heading out to work. I ate three carrots on the drive up.

I caved and weighed myself this morning though. No movement. I have been exercising a bit more this week though, and I'm losing cms (probably not quite up to inches yet!). I can feel a difference in my waist.

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 31/03/2018 14:31

What plan are you doing again athing?

I’m trying to resist weighing as Monday is my official day. Eek!

Lunch has been quite tasty ...

Quorn fillets
Cherry tomatoes
30g feta
Sugar snap peas
Green pepper strips

Mumsnut · 31/03/2018 14:48

Me too, please. Have just had a bag of Twirl bites - again. THIS NEEDS TO STOP.

athingthateveryoneneeds · 31/03/2018 16:28

I like the sound of that lunch.

I'm just calorie counting. 1700/day, but I'm also still bf'ing my 15 month old. I'm going to drop to 1600 if the numbers stay stuck for another week or two. Maybe. I could easily manage on less, it's just psychological to not want to!

For lunch I managed 585 with lots of fresh vegetables and rice cakes dipped in salsa. I try to eat low calorie but big bulk foods, so vegetables are always on the menu. I really like the Mediterranean vegetables tray that Lidl do. 400g is only 125 cal. I eat them roasted or raw.

Heartshapedfairylights · 31/03/2018 20:11

Hi all.
I’m also sticking to 1700 cals a day with exercise.
I went for a review at my gym today and spoke for quite some time about diet. The PT said he had lost 8 stone himself which is always quite nice to hear. It helps that they understand the challenges we face.
Anyway, he suggested that I always hit 110g of protein each day and then make up the calories around that. He said 1g of protein equals 4 cals, as does 1g of carbs. 1g of fat however is equal to 9 cals.
He also said have carbs after a workout to aid fat burning.
So, just thought I’d pass that nugget of information along to see if it can help anyone.

athingthateveryoneneeds · 31/03/2018 20:38

I walked six miles today and I've been freezing all day long. Came home and completely pigged out on carbs. So many carbs. I'm only under my calorie limit because I put my exercise.in today and I don't know exactly what the biscuits were so just guessed. I feel bingey. I hate feeling bingey.

Skipping meals has a terrible affect on me. I need to prioritise breakfast more.

athingthateveryoneneeds · 31/03/2018 20:43

I'm very close to jacking it.in for tomorrow and restarting on Monday. 1yo D's has an egg he'll need help eating. We have pastries and apple pie with custard in the house too.

Blah

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 31/03/2018 20:52

Well I could say stick with it athing but I know I'd be caving too with carbs in the house

Feeling like a binge just sucks and sometimes you can't overcome it. Could you go for a bath? Get into a good book? Try and stick it out?

I'm gong to have to go for a bath because I was to eat too

My stomach hasn't felt this full in a while. It's uncomfortable, but also familiar and tempting to fill it up more. I had some dark chocolate. Now I'm going to brush my teeth and go to bed. This sucks.

anyoldname76 · 31/03/2018 21:06

ive got 2 more stone to lose, i was weighed just before Christmas at the docs and i was 12 stone 2. i cant stick to a diet, so ive cut down wine, having porridge for breakfast, fruit for snacks, reduced portion sizes and no eating after 6. its taken 4 months but im down to just over 10 stone now, plus i dont feel like im on a diet.

XRayYankee · 31/03/2018 21:17

Roasted veg

Small glass of red wine.

Total 800 calories.

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 31/03/2018 21:35

I've worked out I've got 40 bloody pounds to lose. Jesus Christ. All by June 25th! I'd better have made a dent in that by Monday

Food times

Full fat yogurt
Chia seeds
Blueberries

Stir fry
Quorn
Feta cheese
Cherry tomatoes

1 x Atkins bar
2 x babybels

Total cals 843

XRayYankee · 01/04/2018 11:26

I'm rooting for you Roly Smile.

Breakfast of Greek yogurt and raspberries here, with a nice coffee.

No chocolate in the house, DH had the last of it on Wednesday and I am determined not to buy any more. DC have left home, so no excuses either.

Roast beef for dinner with everything (DH) or large portion of roasted veg (me).

Would like to be able to report a good loss tomorrow.

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 01/04/2018 16:28

Same for you X-ray - fingers crossed for tomorrow eh?

We went out for lunch which was a challenge. As luck would have it, it was one of those posh places where the portions are small and fancy and just SO not my thing. I ended up having ..

Goats curd, tapenade, beetroot foam and crushed hazelnuts. Nope, not a clue either but the only vegetarian dish on the menu. Oh and there was about 3 hazelnuts in it if that. I left the toasted brioche it came with

For dessert I chose a piece of Camembert which I had with a stick of celery. Left the bread and the biscuits

So... no real clue how to calorie count this at all. All I know is I made the best choice I could really.

I lost 2 this week, that's me down 11lbs in 7 weeks, I'm averaging at 1.5 pounds a week so with about 12 weeks to go I'm hoping for another stone. That wont be target but I'll be happy enough I think. That would give me a BMI of 23.3. Currently at 25.3, 2lbs to to to 25!

DS2 lost 3.5lbs, that's him down 19lbs in the same period. He has a BMI of 26.3 so another stone off by holidays would take him into a healthy weight and be about right for him as he is quite a large frame and he is possibly still growing although he is already 6'2.

Best of luck everyone for their weigh ins.

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 01/04/2018 22:42

That's really good Wax. Absolutely excellent loss

NotForMeThankYou · 02/04/2018 02:59

Hi, mind if I join in? Will weigh myself in morning but I know after the amount of Easter eggs I've eaten it won't be pretty!

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 02/04/2018 08:58

Welcome notforme! Good luck with weigh in!

Anyone else weighing in this morning? I've just hopped on the scales and I'm quite pleased to have lost 10lbs this week. I have never lost so much in a week before?! Anyway, I started out at 13 stone 6 and this morning I was 12 stone 10.

I'm aiming to be 12 stone 5 by next Monday's weigh in so still quite ambitious as a week 2 goal but fingers crossed it's doable.

How did you get on X-ray?
