Welcome to the new Valentine's edition of the best thread on MN™ where we encourage and support each other to lose 7lbs in a month (though that happens so rarely maybe we need to change our USP!)

Link to the January thread here

Everyone welcome, new and old

Alright all! Been a while.
I've lost 6lbs in Jan and am now hovering at 9'11 ish. I haven't been below 9'9 since I got pregnant (nearly 3 years ago) so I thought I'd need a extra push this month.

I'm aiming for 9'7. I'm MFPing, running twice a week, and doing insanity in my living room 3 days a week.

Good luck everyone! Halo

I failed tonight!!!!
Didn't go to the gym at all, just made excuse after excuse to myself so went home and did housework. Bit annoyed at myself but meh, it's done now!

I had a steak and Halloumi salad for dinner, and I'm sitting at 1,529 cals for the day... MEH! Chalking today up to a fail!

Right so I was with you ladies before Xmas and then lost my mojo completely. I'm back at 11st9 (groan) which gives me a bmi of 25.3 or thereabouts. I really want to be 10.10. Not a huge loss but it seems unachievable based on the last years efforts...

On the other hand, I am fitter and stronger than I've ever been these days and I've made it my mission to exercise every day in feb. That might just be a walk and a few stretches after work (all I managed today) or could be a fitness class or a run in the gym.

Wow this thread is busy!
So nearly a golden day less a bit of picking while making dinner. Still not bad at all.
Feeling positive... mainly because of mysterious new man Blush

I really messed up today. I did quite a bit of exercise but then this evening hit the chocolate. I had completely forgotten it was the 1st of February and that I was going to be better this month! I am going to erase today and start again tomorrow.

Welcome to all the new people, you’ll love it here.

Where are you KOKO you are supposed to be alongside supporting me.

Happy weight loss February everyone.

Ooh ooh ooh can I join? I'm on a couple of different threads but I figured more the merrier if it stops me being a diet bore IRL Grin

So starting weight: 11.3
Current weight: 11
Target for end of feb: 10.8

Ideally I want to get down to the low 9s but as I'm also aiming to stick to the gym/weights I don't want to get too obsessed with a number....except for being able to get back into size 10 jeans of course...

First Friday in February, going to turn the weekend behaviour around.
Someone asked a few messages ago if anyone was relying on diet only to lose weight? I am cause I’m doing lots of exercise and not losing much weight cause I eat too much😂 So yeah it’s not very successful. It’s really funny, I’ve spoken to a couple of people recently who exercise a good amount & acknowledge it’s the food they need to get a handle on. Whereas it used to be people saying they did a 20 minute walk a day & couldn’t understand why the stones weren’t falling off!
According to my weigh ins and guesstimating what I weighed on NYs day, I lost 7 pound, the 7 pound I gained in December. So I’ve lost 2 months effort, nothing like a bit of early morning moaning to get the day off to a start!
Today’s plans, 15k between a combo of walking child to school, jog to gym, gym, crawl back, general running about. Then slow cooked beef with veg for dinner with modest amount of 🍷&Gin
Main goal is to control the cals during the day to allow for a nice meal & few drinkers. Want to stick to 1700 min, 2000 max - hope we all have a slender weekend without a weak end in sight!

Morning all, perhaps the muffin v yoghurt swap yesterday wasn't the best idea 10.2 so no further losses going into the weekend, pub tonight for my leaving drinks from work but I am not especially feeling it so likley will stick to diet coke #partyanimal.
It is the farmers market by my office today so looking forwards to picking up some seasonal bits and bobs plus duckeggs for my very spoiled boyfriend.

Also NSV wearing a size 8 dress to work today!

Good morning!

A small loss to report - just over half lb which takes me down to lowest weight since November. So that was after a day of 1200 calories, 10000 steps, 90 minutes kickboxing and 30 minutes yoga plus a bunch of incidental training activities which probably adds up to another 30 minutes.

No wonder I'm finding it hard to lose eh?!

It's very lucky that I love the exercise!

Morning all

Good going Kiki that's ace! I'm the same this morning, exactly half a pound down and that was after a 1500 cal day and no exercise! I'm on it today though, we have a couple of treats lined up for tomorrow so everything I'm planning on eating today works out at around 1204 cals, then I'll get a half hour walk at lunch and here's hoping I get down to 165lbs by tomorrow!!! (OH has promised me a hair curling wand if I get down to 165 and I want them for next weekend Grin)

Hairspray you could always do vodka & diet coke?! My go to drink these days is a Gin and slim, only 56 cals Shock Kudos on the NSV, I can only dream of a size 8 Grin

I'm still weighing an lb up, damn AF. Not sure I'll manage to get that off any time soon, I'm doing nights all this weekend which always sends my eating all off kilter. Still, I've just finished a bodypump class and I'm feeling all accomplished because normally pre-nights I spend all day in my dressing gown Grin

Well done Kiki and Pip!

Just not really in a "party" mood I don't think, too much going on with new job - they want me to have an OH assessment before they will sign me off as "fit for work" due to my dyslexia/dyspraxia and they can't get me until next Thursday, then they have to write a report and see if I need any "reasonable adjustments".

I think the whole thing is very illegal as if I didn't have the learning difficulty then i would be in post next week so they are delaying my employment. Fortunately my current boss has agreed that I can extend my notice as many times as needed because I cannot afford to be out of work for any time at all really. But I would be surprised if I start at my new place before the end of Feb at this rate.....

Shocking when they said they wanted me in before the end of Jan!
