Welcome to the new Valentine's edition of the best thread on MN™ where we encourage and support each other to lose 7lbs in a month (though that happens so rarely maybe we need to change our USP!)

Everyone welcome, new and old

5lb down for the month - well, since 5th Feb when I got back on the diet horse again.

I'm pretty chuffed with thatSmile

Well done, everyone, on some cracking losses in February. And if it hasn't gone so well, I'm sure March will be your monthSmile

Musing on thread titles - something about March coming in like a lion and out like a lamb because we're all so much thinner?

Or not...

Feezles · 28/02/2018 20:46

Aaah, I meant not a great title idea, not that I thought people wouldn't lose weight! It's been a looong day!

QuimReaper · 28/02/2018 20:56

No I like that Feezles!

Or something like "March to your own tune - fasters, LCers, calorie counters, all welcome with the Slenderistas as we lose 7lbs in March!"

Softpebbles · 28/02/2018 20:58

Slenderistas march into spring whilst getting slim x

Posting to get notified of the March thread! Skimmed over this months and you all seem so lovely and encouraging - hoping you won’t mind if I join!

@Ofthread hello! So sorry to hear you've had a rough time with depression. I've suffered in the past and it is so scary.

Glad to hear you're up and about now. I think the last day I spent in bed all day as a result of depression was in mid to late 2016. Before then I had been up and down alot.

Now though the stay in bed all day style depression has gone although I am now functional I am still troubled by excessive rumination. I keep thinking over and over what I have done wrong. It is hard.

I just go to the gym to take my mind off it though.

Keep putting one foot infront of the other and keep going. Flowers

Sneaking back in ready to start afresh in March. I have been reading this every evening and well done to everyone. I could make a million excuses but I’m going to shut up and start again.

Hairspray I am so sorry. Bastard! You sound as if you are so strong, you’re amazing.

@FreeNiki, thank you for your lovely message. Yes, I've also been using exercise in order to keep going. It does really help. My sleep is more regulated and the endorphins must be working their magic - though I wish I knew how to get more of them.

Hi I'm joining today - weighed myself one week ago - 12stone 7llbs - I'm 5 ft 3inches - and 53 years old and menopausal!!! Will aim for 7llbs over next month. I've upped my veg input and have cut out rice and pasta. Surprisingly I have not missed it. My rice portions must have been 600 calories on its own!!!
I've used MFP for the past 7 days but won't weigh myself for another week. I have previously dieted twice and each time I didn't lose weight until week 2.
Out of curiosity do people weigh them self daily? I would find that unmotivating myself as we fluctuate daily so I've read.
I will start to walk more and will eat these calories - MFP calculated me on 1200 calories daily.
Any feedback welcome re my intake today
Breakfast 3 Weetabix with milk
Lunch - I brown flat bread - 2 slices of cheese and large salad
Evening meal - 2 chicken thighs, 2 tomatoes, I red onion, I red pepper and half a corgette drizzled with oil and cooked in oven
Treat - bag baked crisp.
Water and cups of tea.
I walked 300 calories.
Any nutritional tips?
Thanks a lot.
