I need your help, I have been an eating machine since the beginning of December. I am getting fatter and fatter by the day and am so miserable.

Today I put my brave head on and got on the scales. I weigh 11 stone 4.5lbs. I am not very tall so I am barrelesque and wobbly.

Things really have to change, honestly none of my clothes fit and I only have three dresses that I can currently fit into. My jeans do not fit and are so tight I can barely do them up let alone breathe.

Please join me in sorting my fat act out.

I have just over 2.5 stone to lose... actually lost pretty much all the baby weight but piled it back on and a bit extra Confused really struggling to lose it this time round, with two toddlers to control as best I can look after, an unsupportive OH and no time/ money for the gym.

Started off this year with all good intentions, promptly came down with horrible flu and am still full of aches and pains. The only time I feel a bit better is when I have something sugary - my healthy WW options don't cut it but a can of Coke leaves me feeling vaguely human again! Sadly though it doesn't much help my weight loss ambitions...

Can I join please? I'm 5'4" and 11 stone 5. I'm very annoyed at myself as I was very ill a few months ago so dropped to about 10 stone 9 and looked ok ish! I've been eating far too much chocolate. Chocolate and treats are my big big downfall. I joined slimming world online yesterday morning but have found it a bit shit tracking wise. I was expecting something like my fitness pal where you can type in what you want to eat and will tell you the syns, but you have to know which category it comes under first and it's hard to navigate to the other category and is just pissing me off. I need a few hours to sit down to read it/understand it all. I've joined for 3 months and am annoyed that i might have wasted my money as it's shit as a tracker. I know I can have any of the 'free' things but I'm finding it a struggle to know what to have instead of my usual eg I usually have a sandwich for lunch, but with my usual bread and spread that's definitely a no go.

Can I join too? 5' 3" currently weighing 11st 9lb. I'm Upping the gym, using MFP & will cut out the snacks (my huge downfall). I like the idea of 5:2/ 16:8. Will investigate & try follow those principles. Being an almost vegan veggie, I struggle with protein.

Ooh hello, can I join? I’m 5ft 4in and 11st 4lb. Would like to lose a stone for starters then another one to get back to my ‘going through divorce’ weight of ten years ago!

Been religiously logging on MFP since Tuesday and going to dig out my Fitbit tomorrow if anyone wants to join up on that too?

Me too - 5'4" and 11st 4. I used to freak out when I went over 10stone but somehow jumped from 10 to 11 last year. I have beautiful clothes that don't fit.

@m0therofdragons I could literally have written this post. Exactly the same weight. used to freak if I got to less than 10 stone and yet here I am - in the past year.

I am going to keep checking in on this thread. My dd graduates high school in june and I want to wear something pretty that I feel good in to the ceremony.

Oh for fuck sake!

I have just been woken up by an horrendous farting sound. My dog decided to have diarrhoea all over my bedroom floor and all over my dress which was on the floor. For god sake I only have two dresses that actually fit me.

Just wanted to share.

Will be back in a bit with my first official weigh in.

Can I join too? Have over 3 and a half stone to lose and would like to start 'couch potato to 5 k' , eat less carbs & junk food. Feel so tired every day. Have been waiting to fit into my jeans for five years.Blush Time to make it happen- & get back to feeling great.

Hi Midsumma, welcome.

I don't think that my dog is poorly, he helped himself to a whole French stick yesterday so I'm guessing that's something to do with it. All I can smell is dog poo. Not nice.

Sorry to hear about dog mess. That's a shit start to the week!

Just found this thread and in the same situation. Youngest DS is 2 now and the "baby weight" excuse doesn't cut it any more.

Weighed in this morning.

(I'm just over 5'7" - I'd be ecstatic to get to 11 stone)
No special plan. Cut out the snacks / treats / puddings. Maybe I'll try C25k - I struggle to find the time to exercise! But that's probably just an excuse.

Midsumma lucidly it's really windy here so all the windows are open and the curtains are flapping and the house seems to have aired through.

I've just smashed a glass all over the kitchen floor.

One of those days I guess. I want chocolate Grin

Weighed in - 10st12 1/4
2 days of being good paid off slightly or just less food in me and I went to the bathroom first 😶

Need to pack gym clothes so I can start c25k today. I work in a prison and we are allowed to use the gym at lunchtime. I've been there since March last year used it about 5 times but always moaning I can't get to the gym ?!?!?
Time for that to change.

11st 5lbs this morning for me (another 5'4"er)...4lbs lost last week and 15lbs since 17 Nov Smile

I also took my measurements on 1st Jan so will check against these on 1st Feb (if anyone else wants a prompt to record their measurements now as another way of measuring success!)

11st 5lbs for me this morning too, gained another lb in a week! 5ft 3 or 5ft 4 on a good day, depends which nurse is measuring me??

I need to take my measurements for waist etc. later..

Well done on your 4lbs off Seedy. I think I will take measurements tonight as it's a nice way to see progress if the scales don't show it sometimes.

Hello, please can I join? I'm currently 12stone, and I'd like to be 10 by my fortieth in June. That's my university weight, would be a huge confidence boost.
I've already lost 3.5 lbs in just over a week, but I always find the first week after Christmas relatively easy, and then it trails off.
I'd never heard of 16:8 until reading this thread, and I'm curious! Other than the main rule of not eating for 16 hours are there other rules? Like not spending 8 hours mainlining cake?

I read an article that said that people who ate an apple before a meal lost loads of weight.
I’m not going to eat 3 apples a day but I’m going to try to eat some fruit and a glass of water before every meal.

My plan for today is only coffee til 11. Long walk and chores this morning. I’ll make a lentil soup for lunch. Haven’t decided about dinner yet.

naughty that sounds horrendous! DD desperately wants a dog but I live in fear of that happening. Urrghh!

So 10st 11lb this morning - very annoying as I was 10st 9lb on Saturday! That puts an end to roast dinner and a glass of wine, i thought id done so well since new year I'd treat myself.

Great idea about taking measurements, I hadn't really thought of that. Must see if I can find a tape measure.
