I need your help, I have been an eating machine since the beginning of December. I am getting fatter and fatter by the day and am so miserable.

Today I put my brave head on and got on the scales. I weigh 11 stone 4.5lbs. I am not very tall so I am barrelesque and wobbly.

Things really have to change, honestly none of my clothes fit and I only have three dresses that I can currently fit into. My jeans do not fit and are so tight I can barely do them up let alone breathe.

Please join me in sorting my fat act out.

Hi! Please please please can I join in? 5'3" and 11 stone 4. Absolutely desperate to get back to 10 stone. That's my happy weight which I've not seen since I got pregnant and madam is 2 next month Blush

It's the TT at the end of may and nearly always glorious weather. Would be amazing if I could fit into some nice shorts for then.

No proper plan just healthy, home cooked food with no snacking. I'm the snack queen and find I spend half my life eating out of my desk drawerConfused

Stink I have just downloaded Happy Scale. Thanks for that.

Any suggestion for food logging apps?, I bloody hate my fitness pal, it's not my pal and will never be my pal.

Can I join you please? I'm also 5'4 and started on NYD at 12st dead, my heaviest weight ever and it's got to go. This is not going to be another year that I start with good intentions and end a stone heavier than when I started!!

My plan is 3 healthy meals a day, plus healthy snacks if needed, plus plenty of exercise. The exercise is normally where I fall off the plan as I'm v dedicated for 2 weeks then something derails my plans and then it all goes to pot, so this time it's an hour at the gym every day off. This should work as I'm normally off 3 days a week, and can definitely fit in an hour!

Haha stinkpickle, I'm glad I'm not the only one who weighs themself after a poo!
Happy Scale is only apple, boo.... I tend to weigh myself every day, and have a spreadsheet which smooths it out, but an app would be much easier.
I have another 16:8 question - are you allowed to drink tea during the 26 hours fast? I could cope with no food until 11, but no morning tea would be a deal breaker!

Can I join?

DS is 5 months old and I'm determined to get rid of my last bit of baby weight.

I'm 5'5", last Monday I was 10st 6, today I'm 10st 2.4 (yesssssss) - I've been using Happy Scale to keep track and just cutting out my insane snacking I was doing with the excuse of breastfeeding...

My goal is 9st 7, hopefully I can maintain my current resolve!

I'd like to join please!

5ft 5 and yesterday I was the heaviest I've ever been at 12st. I knew I'd gained a lot at the end of last year but that's about a stone more than I usually am.

10st is my goal for now. No more snacking on the office treats, no more scarfing leftovers and MFP is back on my phone... something has to change!

Well done to everyone on their progress so far!

Well done Yokly! That is a great result.

Ok so using Monday as weigh in day I have weighed myself and am 12st 10lb BlushSad. I am motivated though, my first goal is 10st as that would bring me into healthy BMI range and then I will see how I feel and look then.

My plan is portion sizes, no snacking and making better choices.

Off to make some healthy veg soup!

Okay I've been to Aldi and bought some new state of the art scales BUT I'm nervous to face the full force of the reality which is knowing your actual weight Blush help!

Well done Obi, make sure that you put your shiny new scales on a hard floor and not on carpet. I had my scales repaired recently under warranty and they told me that you should never move scales once they are in position for an accurate reading. Be brave my friend.

Have done my Monday weigh in and I'm now 11st11 so have lost 3lb in the last 2 weeks, which has included a week in Rome, so I think I'm happy with that. Currently trying to convince myself to go the gym, it's not really working but it does mean I'm not dressed yet, as getting dressed feels like the decision is made!

Okay so I'm not the 13.5 stone I thought I was at all! I'm 11 stone 1. I'd like to be 9 stone 5.

16:8 involves eating all of your calorie allowance for the day in an 8 hour window
so between noon and 8pm

But to make it work, you need to eat within your TDEE
Have a look here to work out your sedentary TDEE
tdeecalculator.net/
That is the number of calories you need each day to stay the same weight.
Now work out your TDEE for your happy weight

If you can average eating within your happy weight TDEE accross the week
so Saturday might be more but Monday should be less
you will lose weight
and if you get into the habit of eating the right amount for the lighter you
the weight will stay off

Ok so the run hasn't happened for me today. Going to do some exercise at home though. Have weighed myself and am 13.3. Have logged into MFP, and it reckons I should be eating 1,700 calories a day. I want to aim for around 1,200. Have had 550 so far!

I went for a 4.5k walk and didn’t eat until 11. I was so hungry by then that I don’t think I made good choices. I ate an apple, a large portion of granola and two slices of warburton thins with a bit of butter and marmite. I could still eat more. My stupid ‘I’m full’ sensor never works. I don’t why that is. Most people would think that was loads of food. What’s wrong with me?

Foghead
How much water did you drink before, during and after ?
Always try to have a BIG drink of water before eating to check you that are not dehydrated rather than hungry Smile

Mine used to. I absolutely hated the feeling of being full (would throw up, was bulimic for 10 years). Now I'm the opposite. I binge but don't puke. Far healthier, but has made me fat. This will be the first time I have ever lost weight sensibly. I know what to do, it's the doing it that I'm struggling with.

Weigh in for me has brought me in at a lighter than expected 10 stone 9lbs. So I have about 1.5 stone to lose. Today had breakfast of cereal with oat milk and had some crisps earlier. Once I've BFed the baby I'll have lunch - some seeded toast with mackerel and some veg sticks. Must try not to snack with DS1 when he gets home from school!

I need to do this.

Every year I do this and don't succeed. I need change.

I started bootcamp 2-3 x a week in October and have been going much to my surprise so now need to make healthier food choices.

I don't have scales but will buy some

Aiming for 21lb off what I think I am!
