Oh Fuck, I am 2.5 stone over weight.

I need your help, I have been an eating machine since the beginning of December. I am getting fatter and fatter by the day and am so miserable.

Today I put my brave head on and got on the scales. I weigh 11 stone 4.5lbs. I am not very tall so I am barrelesque and wobbly.

Things really have to change, honestly none of my clothes fit and I only have three dresses that I can currently fit into. My jeans do not fit and are so tight I can barely do them up let alone breathe.

Please join me in sorting my fat act out.

I actually forgot it was Monday until now Grin.

All stable, despite a weekend full of eating and drinking. Was very restrained in the days leading up to the weekend, so I think that helped.

Started: 11 st 11
Last week: 9 st 11.6
This week: 9 st 11

Caggie, is your miracle loss continuing? Hope everyone else has had good results!

I’ve gone up again from 10.7 to 10.9 annoyingly. I can’t moan though as I ate and drank loads and didn’t do enough exercise last week!

Grundys you can absolutely definitely do this. Do not feel awful.

I started on New Year's Day so the 2 stone hasn't been lost overnight but has been a gradual thing with periods of a few weeks where nothing seemed to be coming off at all. You just have to get into the mindset where you think well, it didn't go on overnight so it certainly isn't going to melt off me in a couple of weeks. And the time is going to pass anyway so it might as well pass with you feeling a bit better about yourself as the months go by.

I have really tried to focus on eating for health rather than being on a diet and I've barely counted calories at all. Vaguely low-carb although not obsessively (I eat bread once or twice a week but only one slice of home-made wholegrain bread). Treat meal once a week. Tons of fruit and veg.

Mind you, I think Isabelle has been using MFP quite religiously and that has worked better for her. And who knows what Caggie's secret is Grin.

Honestly, you can do this.

Pixie, just a blip I'm sure! It will fall off you again Grin

Hi all! Was away over weekend so missed weigh-in yesterday. Not good news for me again!

Starting weight: 12 st 9 lb
Last week: 11 st 3.25 lb
This week: 11 st 4.25 lb

Won't be here next week as I'm going on holiday (so I don't anticipate any weight loss either!), but will be back two weeks today to see how much damage I've done with holiday indulgence! I do think once the children are at school it's going to be much easier to avoid treats and have a bit of a routine.

Thank you oneofthegrundys! I've had a couple of disappointing weeks, but I know that I haven't been as good with food in those weeks, so it's not a total surprise! And a positive thing from this weekend was that a couple of relatives I hadn't seen for a few months noticed that I'd lost weight.

After the holiday I'll get back to being super-vigilant about what I'm eating and hopefully shift that last half-stone to get to target weight!

Hi all.

Great result for a first week, Grundys. How have you been finding it?

Nothing much to report here:

Last week: 9 st 11
This week: 9 st 11

Had dinner out last night (with bread! and dessert!) but reined myself in for most of the week, with just soup for dinner once or twice so maintaining nicely. I'm going on holiday in a couple of weeks, mind you - the first proper chunk of time away from home and doing holiday eating since I started - so we'll see how that goes. I'm planning on making the most of the hot weather and great food to have lots of fruit and salads and fish, and drink only water during the day but there will definitely be daily ice cream and many other such pleasures going on :)

Hope everyone else has had a good result today!

Ooh yes holiday eating is such a pleasure! Holiday fruit is often so much nicer too!

It’s been ok, just a bit hungry. Sort of healthy eating and MFP. And a bit more exercise.

Had 2 meals ‘off’. Went out for one with friends and then one housewarming meal for a lovely old colleague friend. Would have been rude not to Wink .

I’ve missed weigh in and i’m away from the scales again this week (absolutely no idea what I weigh - yikes!) but will face up to it next Monday when it’s back to work and back to routine x

Hi all, I’ve been a bit quiet as I put on weight over the summer. Managed to lose 2lbs since I came back from holiday, but still got another 2lbs to go before i’m back to where I was. Hope everyone else is doing better.

Well done Grundys I want to snack in the evenings and drink lots of wine now i’m back at work!

Very irritating as I know from a cheeky Friday weigh-in that I've put on 2.5 lb over the weekend! Although to be fair I did eat really really badly over the weekend… Oh well. Will try and do better this week, apart from my birthday I think!

Wow, caggie, you're still doing really well! I also need to stop eating crap! Didn't really have a proper lunch today and so ended up eating too many crisps after the school run - not good!

Im starting it again today too, had my last day off yesterday. Agree with the Christmas target! Would love to go into December 9st, but ill concentrate on the 9st 7 for now.

Bloody, bloody hell. I have somehow put on two pounds in a week! It was my birthday week, but still. I went for a run! that made me hungrier

Hello all, I'm back too - was away on holiday for a couple of weeks. I had a horrible flu-y virus thing before I went away but couldn't take any time off work as my holiday was imminent, so just had to power through! It was all grim but at least had the positive effect of letting me shed a couple more pounds in advance of the holiday as I had no appetite at all.
