I need your help, I have been an eating machine since the beginning of December. I am getting fatter and fatter by the day and am so miserable.

Today I put my brave head on and got on the scales. I weigh 11 stone 4.5lbs. I am not very tall so I am barrelesque and wobbly.

Things really have to change, honestly none of my clothes fit and I only have three dresses that I can currently fit into. My jeans do not fit and are so tight I can barely do them up let alone breathe.

Please join me in sorting my fat act out.

I'm having to post in separate paragraphs as there is a glitch on the MN site and the return key isn't working Confused. I managed to eat reasonably well on holiday - no booze (wasn't in the mood after the virus), no terrible snacking, etc. BUT I did have dessert every evening, had bread every lunchtime and every dinner (mmmm bread) and ate a pastry for breakfast every other day. But all in all, not too bad - I guess this is how normal people eat to maintain their weight but it's taken me all these years to master the technique.

So, anyway, the upshot is that I'm now 9 stone 9 although I feel a pound or two could very easily go on over the next week as I've been quite hungry since I got home (I think the colder weather is responsible). Not being able to do paragraphs is driving me mad so I will check back in next week. Meantime, remember that a couple of pounds on and off is nothing but normal fluctuations (this is what we must keep telling ourselves...).

Hi all, sorry, hadn't seen that anyone else had posted since my last one. Normally I get emails telling me. Anyway, weighed on Monday and back down to 11 st 3 lb thank goodness. However, still not properly logging calories on MFP, and now have a cold which is not making me make particularly good choices!

Well done lurking and caggie - your numbers look pretty good to me and it's nice to 'see' you!

Actually one good thing that happened this week was that I tried on clothes in a shop and wasn't totally horrified by the reflection (don't have a full-length mirror at home). I remember almost exactly a year ago going to try on clothes in the same shop and being so shocked by the way I looked that I resolved to make a change. And I did! three months later
