I need your help, I have been an eating machine since the beginning of December. I am getting fatter and fatter by the day and am so miserable.

Today I put my brave head on and got on the scales. I weigh 11 stone 4.5lbs. I am not very tall so I am barrelesque and wobbly.

Things really have to change, honestly none of my clothes fit and I only have three dresses that I can currently fit into. My jeans do not fit and are so tight I can barely do them up let alone breathe.

Please join me in sorting my fat act out.

Morning all! Well done caggie - so chuffed for you! Also big well done to Pixie - what a great week you had!

Starting weight: 12 st 9 lb
Last week: 11 st 6.6 lb
This week: 11 st 5 lb

So I'm chuffed too - off the plateau and going down again, and in a week that included an entire takeaway pizza and a beer in front of the football!

Caggie09 · 09/07/2018 17:00

Well done guys, it feels good when we get the news we want. Lets hope it carries on throughout and next Monday we have fab news too!

Sassysarahh · 09/07/2018 17:06

I was always a nice easy size 12 .... since I hit 40 5 stone and 5 dress sizes crept up on me and I don't know how it happened I don't over eat and I am active !!! 😂 Big sad face

Hello all - I did the big weigh-in yesterday and then had to go out all day and completely forgot to update. Sadly, I have nothing good to report:

Last week: 10 st 0.2
This week: 10 st 0.6

I'm actually just laughing at myself now, as on and on and on it goes.

But hats off to the rest of you - I'm thrilled that you've all had really good weeks and these are fantastic results. Caggie - what an achievement. It gives me hope.

Don't quite know what to do, mind you, as if I starve myself for a week to lose this last pesky pound, I daresay it will just go back on again the next week. Argh.

PixieN · 10/07/2018 22:21

That’s annoying @lurkingfromhome I’ve managed to go up by 1.5 lbs since yesterday! Shock Irritating Hmm

Caggie09 · 11/07/2018 18:20

Argh, annoying Lurking, keep doing what your doing and dont give up. Maybe your due a big drop soon. Its hard when you want it so much, we all have bad days!

IsabelleSE19 · 16/07/2018 10:32

Hi all, hope everyone's well and has good news to report! Here's me:

Starting weight: 12 st 9 lb
Last week: 11 st 5 lb
This week: 11 st 3.5 lb

Absolutely delighted with that! Was a really weird week food-wise, as I ate more than my calorie limit several times, but then towards the end of the week I had a bit of a stomach upset (could be related to the previous overeating I guess!) and kept well under the limit for the last couple of days.

Even went to McDonalds yesterday, and because I made myself fully aware of the calories in everything, was able to choose something that was still fine but much less tasty. I do think, for all their faults, that places like McDonalds, Greggs and Wetherspoons are really good for their transparency re: calories.

lurkingfromhome · 16/07/2018 16:18

OH HAPPY DAY!!!

Last week: 10 st 0.6
This week: 9 st 12.8

I thought this day would never come Grin Grin. Had a good week although went out for lovely three-course dinner on Saturday night, which I thought might undo some of the good work and have things back up there in the 10s just in time for the weigh-in. Am very pleased!

However, I won't be disappearing off this thread by any means, as we all know how pounds lost have an annoying habit of sneaking back on quite randomly so I wouldn't be at all surprised if I was back in the 10s for next Monday. I'm still going to crack on with the good effort and Monday weigh-ins for the foreseeable future.

Well done, Isabelle, you must be so pleased! Hope you're feeling better now.

Good luck to everyone else! Let's hope everyone has good news to report Smile.

IsabelleSE19 · 16/07/2018 16:36

Aaaaaarggh that's brilliant lurking - so happy for you!! Glad you'll be sticking around though Smile. My official target weight was 10 st 9 lb, so I've still got about half a stone to go, but it feels great to have lost almost a stone and a half so far. My holiday is at the end of August so would be good to be near target for that, although it's Scotland so I might not be getting the bikini out in any case!

PixieN · 16/07/2018 22:15

Well done @IsabelleSE19 & @lurkingfromhome Smile Great news! I’ve gone up from 10.6 to 10.7 this week unfortunately, but could be worse - I ate loads over the weekend! Just got 2lbs to go to make my stone & a half.

Pinkroseuk · 17/07/2018 07:08

Well done everyone!
I forgot to weight last week but two weeks ago starting weight 98.8kg
This week 94.3kg :)
Pleased but determined to stay on track and not eat the cake my mum sent me home with at the weekend!

IsabelleSE19 · 23/07/2018 09:55

Hi, not sure if there'll be many people on this thread today but am here to post my weight all the same!

Starting weight: 12 st 9 lb
Last week: 11 st 3.5 lb
This week: 11 st 3 lb

So a teeny tiny loss, but I definitely ate more than I should yesterday so that's quite a result in the circumstances! Hope everyone still checking in has had good results!

springmachine · 23/07/2018 10:51

Weigh in today 11 stone 6.

That puts me at BMI of 27.

I had relaxed a little bit recently and not weighed in for a while but I'm still losing slowly which I'm happy about.

My goal weight was 10.7, so hoping to reach that by November (for my wedding) going at a steady rate.

I'm the lightest I've been in years, but body shape has changed so much since having a child that my tummy holds all the excess weight so I looks quite out of proportion

lurkingfromhome · 23/07/2018 10:56

I'm here and still checking in (and weighing myself semi-obsessively).

Last week: 9 st 12.8
This week: 9 st 12.6

I'm sure this is because we had a dinner out on Saturday instead of the usual Sunday so it wasn't lying in my stomach just in time for weigh-in! I'm really pleased I decided to drop a little bit below 10 st as that is an obvious cut-off point so as soon as the scales hit the 10s again I'll know I need to take action.

Trying to get my head around the maintenance phase of things now as I am NEVER putting those 2 stones on again. I look so much better, I feel so much better and I have lost all those random minor aches and pains that come with middle age. I had coffee out yesterday and did not buy one of the amazing looking cakes to go with it because I'd had a dessert the day before. Am very aware that this is the way it has to be now, or the weight will just creep back on. Argh. I have no problem with turning down booze, crisps, chips, pasta etc, but I do love a delicious cake. :)

Anyway, enough about me. Isabelle, that's another good result and in one more week you will hopefully have reached the achievement of 1.5 stone lost. Then just a few more weeks and you'll be into the 10s.

Pixie, Pink, Caggie, where are you?!!

lurkingfromhome · 23/07/2018 10:58

Cross-post with springmachine there. That's excellent - less than a stone to go!

I know the problem with holding all your weight around your middle. It's the bane of my life.

Caggie09 · 23/07/2018 16:03

Hi all. I didnt check in last week ive been really busy.

Not ate the best, but im here with my w.i

Last time i weighed i was 9st 12

Today 9st 13.

Well done to everyone else!!

PixieN · 23/07/2018 23:44

Hi Ladies - I’m really fed up with myself as I’ve gone up from 10.7 to 10.10!! Hmm Missed a couple of dance aerobics classes (cancellations & work meetings) & my diet has been awful. I’m so annoyed that i’ve gone backwards!

Well done to everyone else! It’s good to hear how you’re doing - it will motivate me to do better 👍 Back on it properly tomorrow.

PixieN · 23/07/2018 23:48

Bought some old exercise DVDs from eBay so will start with this tomorrow. Maybe I need some colourful leg warmers! Grin

Oh Fuck, I am 2.5 stone over weight.
IsabelleSE19 · 24/07/2018 07:55

Pixie that DVD looks amazing - please report back after you've done it!

lurking Glad you're still checking in with us! Well done on still losing. What are you thinking about your maintenance phase – will you be eating any differently?

I'm definitely feeling slimmer - was noticeable at the weekend as I wore a dress I haven't worn for ages because it was too tight. Must get back to exercising though - was going to yesterday but it was so darn hot!

lurkingfromhome · 24/07/2018 08:13

The maintenance phase is tricky, actually, as basically for the last couple of months I've been really following the same plan but not really losing much weight (as everyone here will know from my constant moaning about it), so I think I've hit my natural weight.

I'm scared to eat any differently in case it just starts going in the opposite direction, AND of course I know myself only too well - one cake will lead to two cakes, which will lead to buying a cake to take home, then before we know it the sugar addiction will return, bad habits will set in and the 2 stone will be back on (I speak from many years of experience...).

So I guess I'll just keep doing the same eating but not beat myself up too much about it. Maintenance is difficult though.

Pixie - haha, what a great video. That must be from the Jane Fonda years which I recall only too well - legwarmers and sweat bands galore.

Welcome back caggie, you're doing fine - still in the 9s, hurray!

PixieN · 26/07/2018 22:20

Hi Ladies - the DVD was pretty good. Apparently it’s 2001, but definitely looks like it was made earlier! It was a bit relentless - the women are like well honed machines! I just gave up & watched at one point, but the routines were good Grin

IsabelleSE19 · 27/07/2018 08:31

Well done Pixie - so impressed you did a workout in this heat! I keep meaning to go back to the 30-day Shred but I just can't face it. It's tiring enough just walking around here at the moment!

PixieN · 30/07/2018 09:01

I’m away this week & haven’t brought scales (feels very liberating after weighing myself numerous times a day 🙈) so not doing a weigh in today. Also decided to stop going to Slimming World, but mostly keep to plan - hope i can continue to lose! I’ve kept up exercising & I’m trying to be more mindful about food - will see if it’s worked or not when I face the scales next week!

Good luck for anyone weighing in today x

IsabelleSE19 · 30/07/2018 09:33

Hope you're having a nice time away Pixie, and not worrying too much about weight or food! Unfortunately I pushed my luck one too many times over the weekend and have paid for it on the scales.

Starting weight: 12 st 9 lb
Last week: 11 st 3 lb
This week: 11 st 4.5 lb

Bit of a wake-up call to be honest. I snack a lot more when the children are at home - sometimes it seems the only way of keeping my sanity when the squabbling breaks out! Need to try and find a way not to go to the cupboards when I'm feeling stressed. They're at holiday club every morning this week, so hopefully that will help me avoid temptation!

Hope everyone else is doing well!
