I need your help, I have been an eating machine since the beginning of December. I am getting fatter and fatter by the day and am so miserable.

Today I put my brave head on and got on the scales. I weigh 11 stone 4.5lbs. I am not very tall so I am barrelesque and wobbly.

Things really have to change, honestly none of my clothes fit and I only have three dresses that I can currently fit into. My jeans do not fit and are so tight I can barely do them up let alone breathe.

Please join me in sorting my fat act out.

Well im currently eating sweets and malteasers buttons! So not great. How are you doing?Smile

IsabelleSE19 · 13/06/2018 15:23

Hi Hands and welcome! Not great today - bought my favourite crisps this morning and ate loads. Also got back into My Fitness Pal, logged all the calories and realised that I now have only 300 to play with for the rest of the day if I don't want to exceed my limit! I do think having to log everything I eat is going to focus my mind a bit though - I certainly don't plan to have a crisp binge again in the near future!

Re: your question yesterday, I think my marriage possibly has suffered a bit, but it's more to do with my confidence rather than anything DH has said. He doesn't say much either way about my appearance to be honest!

IsabelleSE19 · 13/06/2018 15:23

By the way caggie, I didn't know you could get Malteasers buttons, so that's dangerous knowledge!

Hi all
Please can I come back and commit to this group. I posted when first set up then got lost in the mix. Thought by this summer I would have clothes that fit but nope as I didn't focus.
Was 10st13 on 13/1 have lost a few 1lb since then but still at my heaviest.
I'm 5ft so ideally need to be in the lower 8s but would be sooo happy to be in the low 9s for my holiday end of August.
What do I need to post please x

GrannyMac2018 · 14/06/2018 06:22

This was my first post .... very sad to see that at that point I could have lost weight before my holiday instead I went away with thigh rub and had to borrow bigger clothes from a friend who had lost as I was determined not to buy any in the next size up. Confused

Oh Fuck, I am 2.5 stone over weight.

Hello all

I'm having a good week, but then I always have a good week and it doesn't necessarily translate into weight loss! Those last few pounds are stuck to me like glue.

I may start posting my daily food intake just to get it down in writing and see if there are any obvious things I can do just to get over this neverending plateau.

Hello grannymac, yes do join us again. Weigh-ins are on Mondays. If you flick back over the last few pages you'll see how it normally goes.

IsabelleSE19 · 14/06/2018 11:20

lurking I deliberately didn't weigh myself this morning as I always seem to be lighter on a Thursday and it's so frustrating come Monday! Maybe it's because I'm not as good as I should be over the weekend.

Welcome back Granny! Don't beat yourself up about it - just start from here and see what you can do.

I've been faithfully logging everything into My Fitness Pal - went over my calorie limit yesterday thanks to the crisp binge, but hopefully will do better today. It does focus your mind thinking about having to note everything - nowhere to hide! And I think it might stop me picking at things e.g. the DCs' leftovers!

Caggie09 · 18/06/2018 06:49

Good morningSmile

So days i was off work, was hard. I ate most things in sight. But when i was in work i ate fine. Luckily, im very busy now for the next two week so hoping not to have time to demolish most things in sight.

Last week: 10st 2
Today: 10st 1.

Argh, im so close!! Ive been in the 10st bracket for far to long, i need to move onto the 9's!

Have a lovely day!

IsabelleSE19 · 18/06/2018 07:43

Morning! Congrats caggie, well done!

I too have good news this week!

Starting weight: 12 st 9lb
Last week: 11 st 12 lb
This week: 11 st 9lb

I was a pound less than that over the weekend as well, but it crept back on in time for Monday! But really really chuffed to have finally hit a stone of weight loss. Took much longer than I hoped but I'm there.

My Fitness Pal has been a revelation for me this week, and now I'm totally obsessed with it! I even managed to fit in a Chinese takeaway last night by starving myself the rest of the day. It's really showed me where my extra calories had been creeping on. The only problem with it was it used my starting weight from when I last used it five years ago, which was less than my goal weight now Hmm. I had to delete those measurements - too depressing.

Hope everyone else is having good weigh-ins!

Amazing hands - well done! Smile

lurkingfromhome · 18/06/2018 10:28

Well done, everyone! So pleased that everyone has good news to report for one. As do I ...

Starting weight: 11 st 11
Last week: 10 st 1.8
This week: 10 st 0.8

Caggie, I am right there with you in hanging on to the 10 st bracket for dear life. Surely one more week will see us finally move into the 9s. I don't even need to be in the 9s, really, but I do want to have a tiny cushion so that I know that once I hit 10 stone it's time to do something about it.

Isabelle and Handsoff - amazing results there. After so many weeks of crushing disappointment, it's excellent that we all seem to have made progress this week Grin

IsabelleSE19 · 18/06/2018 10:46

Brilliant lurking - I'm so pleased you had a good week too!

Does anyone else think they did anything differently this week? For me it was definitely logging all my calories.

heiheithechicken · 18/06/2018 11:03

Can I please join?
I'm 11 4 and need to get down to 9 7.

Hi DK, sorry to hear you're laid up. At risk of banging on about it, have you tried My Fitness Pal? It's free, and you can adjust your activity levels to take into account that you can't exercise at the moment.

Personally I'm always a bit suspicious of paid-for 'magic bullets'. One of my friends swears by the Cambridge Diet, which is quite pricey, but the trouble is she does put the weight back on and has to keep doing it every so often.

To be honest, though, you're probably best off just trying to recover and eat healthily rather than stressing too much about your weight at the moment! Will you be able to exercise at all after your recovery period?

lurkingfromhome · 20/06/2018 08:43

Agreed - I wouldn't touch anything paid-for with a bargepole. Just focus on eating for health (especially since you're recovering from surgery - you need to be kind to your body and give it plenty of rest and nourishment).

Isabelle, I'm not sure why I had a good week this week. I've done a little more exercise but I'm very aware of how few calories that really burns so I'm not thinking it's that. I definitely felt lighter this week, so I don't know if my body has just finally decided to reduce the size of those fat cells a bit!

Mind you I would not be at all surprised if next Monday I've put the same two pounds back on. Let's see...

Hi ssamantha - not to be brusque, but read our very recent posts. You don't need to pay for anything to lose weight.

I'm starting to think I can smell spam – and it's not my breakfast!
