Partially inspired by last years epic “what did you eat today” thread, anyone up for restarting one specifically in this section as a way of holding ourselves to account? No matter what your method of weight loss is....

I’m WI tomorrow for the first time in a month and know it won’t be pretty, going to ease myself in with 16:8 for a week and then adjust to either 1200kcal a day or back to 2 fast days a week. Anticipate having about 10lbs to lose.

Today was terrible but I did a transatlantic flight across several time zones so eating was buggered - I’ll start properly tomorrow!

Then it all went wrong

Half a pack of malted milks
A bar of dairy milk
A packet of hula hoops
Two hot cross buns with jam

I'm drawing a line under today and back on it tomorrow.

Fell off the wagon over the weekend, ate half a packet of bourbon biscuits yesterday but have managed less wine Smile

Today
B: Tea, banana, small fromage frais
L: Subway single chicken salad, dollop of mayo, tea
S: Apple and a tea
D: Jacket potato with baked beans, tiny sprinkling of cheese, glass of weak squash
S: Tea and two cadbury mallows

Too much tea!

L: butternut squash and parsnip soup, 4 hearts of palm sticks
S: strawberries and home-made avocado chocolate cookies x1.5
D: blistered shishito peppers, steamed broccoli, tempeh sauteed in soy sauce and 3/8 of an avocado

Going out for a glass of wine with a friend and driving so I can only have one glass!!

Yesterday I ate:
Breakfast - nothing
Lunch: Home made vegetable soup + 2 rice cakes
Dinner: baked haddock fillet, baked sweet potato and stir fried veg followed by a mini toaster waffle with golden syrup
Evening snack: An instant hot chocolate and a slice of homemade banana loaf.
Drinks: 4 cups coffee with 1 sugar and skim milk. Lots of sugar free ribena.

Today the plan is:
Lunch: Home made vegetable soup + 2 rice cakes
Dinner: Cheese omlette (light on the cheese) + homemade coleslaw + sweet potato wedges
Evening snack: An instant hot chocolate and a slice of homemade banana loaf.
Drinks: 4 cups coffee with 1 sugar and milk. Lots of sugar free ribena.

Nothing for breakfast .

Pitta stuffed with 3 bacon slices,mixed leaves,baby tomatoes and a small sliced advocado.
Raspberries plus spoon of coconut yoghurt.
Couple of Squares of dark chocolate.

Cider vinegar in water with Stevia.
Home made Cauliflower Cheese.
Orange.
Cocoa with almond milk.

These threads really make me see how bad my diet is when what people eat on a bad day is what I would eat on a good day Blush
Today I've had
B - seeded bagel with light cream cheese
L - Soup with a sandwich thin and a cheese slice
S - 2 rice cakes and an easy peeler
T will be tofu stir fry with lots of veggies and rice noodles and I'll have a snack again in the evening

Dinner will be chicken, mushroom & courgette risotto
Will have a smoothie ice lolly in the evening too

I’ve done 10 miles on the exercise bike and will do another 10 before bed

Weekend was a write off as was away for a weekend celebrating a birthday, involving meals, cocktails and general treat foods.

Today:

B: overnight oats with raspberries & honey
S: nectarine
L: wholemeal chicken sandwich, packet lentil crisps, fresh mango
D: turmeric chicken breast with quinoa
S: 2 chocolate rice cakes

Breakfast: big bowl of branflakes with skimmed milk
Lunch: 2 low fat sausages, 3rd of a tin of beans and 1 slice bread
Tea: huge portion of tuna pasta in a tomato based sauce
Snack: fruit pastilles
Drinks: tea and loads of water

Pretty crap day really, had to fight with myself not to raid the cupboards. Need to cut the sugar and portion size!

Can I join in? Trying to get down 10kg ultimately, but aiming for 5kg now. Am pre-diabetic, though BMI 23 and fit. Need to be accountable.

B: Small bowl sugar-free museli, semi-skimmed milk
L: Small bowl beetroot soup, half slice sourdough with butter
D: Half a dinner plate of homemade macaroni cheese (low fat cheese), sugar snap peas.

Snacks: 1 square dark chocolate, 1/4 white chocolate lolly from Hotel Chocolate. 2 x cocoa made with semi milk (no sugar). 1 x mini frozen yoghurt.

3 ryvitas, marmite, humus ( my favourite comfort)
Orange , Apple
Pakk choi, carrots, broccoli steamed with 2 poached eggs
200 ml soya milk for coffee , tea, cocoa.

mari652 marmite and hummus?!? I love marmite with banana and marmite with avocado (on toast) so I’m going to give that a go

DeliveredByKiki I can't eat cheese (sob :( - eczema) so marmite gives me that nice salty/savoury hit, and I find it really combines well with hummus. Also, marmite soldiers with boiled egg - come to think of it, marmite under the poached egg on toast !

I used to love marmite soldiers dipped in runny egg...vegan now though so I have to miss it and make do with banana/avocado combos!

today was a bit weird, had a proper lunch then went into snack mode so decided not to have dinner:

B: avocado chocolate cookie
S: almond milk latte
L: roast butternut squash, roast parsnips, steamed broccoli, blistered shishito peppers, a cup of blueberries
S: cucumber, hummus, steamed lentils in bruschetta dip, animal crackers, strawberries, veggie stick things, ginger sweets, lettuce, several coffees with soy creamer

somewhere roughly around 1200kcals and don't really feel like I got bang for my buck
