I've managed to stick to around 1000 cals again today, tomorrow will be harder though. I always seem to come unstuck on day 3.

twinkledag · 02/01/2018 22:36

I've done well apart from half a mince pie and a blob of cream - trying to get rid of Xmas food. Back to work tomorrow 😫

poorpaws · 02/01/2018 22:54

Oh God day 2 and I’ve failed already. In my defence I’ve been quite ill for two weeks, thought I was improving and then felt worse this afternoon so ate like it was Christmas all over again. I’m not giving up this early on so will jump back on that blasted wagon and try again tomorrow.

Good luck everyone.

TheDonald · 02/01/2018 23:17

I'm really struggling to get rid of my sugar habit. I was doing fine until dd opened a chocolate orange!

Still I've done 19k steps today so mfp is showing a 500 cal deficit. Back to work tomorrow. Sad

HairsprayBabe · 03/01/2018 06:43

10.6 was golden save for one teeny tiny fancy choccy at about 8ish.

Also got AF so hoping that some is bloating etc.

KikisReindeerDeliveries · 03/01/2018 08:35

Yesterday went really well. The naughtiest thing I ate was 5 prunes! Although Mfp was very snotty about me eating humus. It's set to just under 1500 calories which is sustainable for me.

Rewarded with significant drop in the scales of 3 Lindas. Smile

Still feeling rotten and was up half the night coughing and listening to storms.

Kids are back at school today so I will air out their stinky teen rooms, put Christmas away and hoover up the feathers from the bird the bastard cats brought in this morning. They have just lost their nighttime privileges to the living room.

cottonwool125 · 03/01/2018 09:09

No loss as of yet. I'm sticking to about 1500 calories a day, so was hoping for even half a pound. Never mind!

Healthyish cooked breakfast this morning (grilled bacon, mushrooms in fry light, baked beans and 1 piece of whole meal toast), then a long dog walk this morning, whilst pushing DS in his stroller. Hoping that will burn some extra fat!

Not2bObvious · 03/01/2018 09:19

Day 2 and my scales has dropped 1.4 down to 11.9.4 - I did an hour run yesterday, load of housework & stick to 1700 (‘ish) No wine, no crisps, no chocolate. I did have a few nuts and a measured amount of cheese & crackers as an evening snack - I worked hard to cut out snacking before Christmas but I really do enjoy something after dinner and I had the calories to spare. If I deny myself too much, I have a tendency to snap and eat ALL the food. Inordinately pleased with myself, always feels like 1 good day under the v snug belt begets another.
I love reading everyone’s updates, it feels great to be part of a group!

lastqueenofscotland · 03/01/2018 09:35

11 2 this morning so it is thankfully coming off quickly

ponygirlcurtis · 03/01/2018 09:45

I am now officially on Dry January (had a bit of a last hurrah last night). Brew

Keep going everyone! poorpaws, you can do this - believe you can and you are worth it, because you can and you are. 😊

splatattack · 03/01/2018 10:26

So I'm 9 stone 7 or 8 this morning...back home to my own normal scales tomorrow so can do a more accurate weight in then...my goal is to hit 9 stone so hopefully by the end of Feb I can do this!! Will need lots and lots of help though!!

Congrats to everyone who has jumped back on the wagon after Christmas...hearing about everybody's exercise classes is so motivating, no excuses for January!!!

BitOutOfPractice · 03/01/2018 10:47

A pep-talk to my future self and other Slenderistas who might find it helpful:

Falling off the wagon does not mean all January efforts are ruined! Just dust yourself off and get back on if when it happens. Whatever you've eaten or drunk it is likely not as bad as it seems and there's always a better day to be had tomorrow. Scarfing down the rest of the Christmas cake/chocs/wine/cheese does not make you a bad person, just one who enjoys food, and that's ok. We are all here because we bloody love food and need support in moderating ourselves. Most of the time we do pretty well and a blip is not a punishable offence, just enjoy it then get back on the wagon.

I've loved festive pigging out and general excesses, but I'm also happy to be getting back to my healthy lifestyle. It's all about balance.

Kikisdeliveries · 03/01/2018 13:00

...and immediately after that I finished off the Christmas cake Blush. But it is logged on Mfp and is my lunch. I needed the marzipan to soothe my poor ragged sore throat.

Shelby152 · 03/01/2018 13:08

Happy new year everyone!! It’s nice to hear other people are on the same boat with loosing weight as me. I did try doing this last year but I got no where cus I didn’t have any motivation I guess. This years been so much better! I started this 2 week diet plan on Boxing Day and I’ve lost 6 pound already Grin I’m so happy with myself! If you wanna know the program I would be happy to show you but it’s worked amazing for me and my sister, I can’t wait to see more results in the future. Wish you all the best -Shelby

fishonabicycle · 03/01/2018 13:16

Kiki - your comment about your catsade me laugh. Mine has lost his upstairs privileges since he took to bringing rodents into our bedroom and pursuing/killing/eating them loudly in the wee small hours. The furry b*stard.

Feezles · 03/01/2018 13:49

waves nervously

I'd like to join you if I may? My weight has fluctuated wildly in recent years, but I'm currently very definitely at the fat-for-me end of the spectrum. I lost 8lb in November and October, then put it all back on in December, hoping to shift 17lb in total by Easter. Currently I'm 13st 2lb, and I'm aiming for 11st 13lb. When I get to that, I'll have a think about how much more I want to lose, but probably about another stone - 11st is my happy weight.

I'm back on MFP as of yesterday and feeling quite positive about it all. And hoping to be back running by Easter if I can finally fix my dodgy achilles tendon by then.

I'm going to miss all the lovely wine though. Sob.

Softpebbles · 03/01/2018 13:57

Shelby feel free to share any plan here. We are open with our different methods. 😀

Some low carb, some SW, some 5:2.

Anxiouslady · 03/01/2018 14:17

Can I join you too please? Lost nearly 2 stone last year but have put 9lbs back on! Got on the sad step this morning and am now 13st 3.4lbs. Goal is 11st but interim goal is 12st. Followed SW for a bit but now using MFP and aiming for calorie deficit each day! I have a terrible sweet tooth so this will be hard!!

Feezles · 03/01/2018 15:31

Anxiouslady, our start weight and goal weights are almost identical! We can do this! fist bump

BitOutOfPractice · 03/01/2018 15:34

No need to be nervousfeezles. We don't bite I do

Lovely to see new faces. This is such a lovely friendly and supportive thread

Anxiouslady · 03/01/2018 16:08

Oh yes just noticed that Feezles...fab...we can do this!!
Glad to find a supportive thread... I need a bit of accountability without having to go to a SW class or something as they stresssd me out a bit!

Currently sipping hot lemon water and trying to ignore all the left over Christmas chocolates etc

TheDonald · 03/01/2018 17:52

I seem to be on a good day / bad day cycle since Christmas. I can resist the sugar for a day but then on day 2 I'm a bit obsessed.

Scales have barely moved since early December though so I need to shake things up a bit. I might try a new exercise class tomorrow.

twinkledag · 03/01/2018 18:56

I love that message Kiki!

Topsyturvy1 · 03/01/2018 19:33

Please can I join, weighed for the first time in ages yesterday and tipped the scales at a massive 19st 6lbs. I'm surprised the scales didn't shout at me to get off Shock many mixed emotions ranging from embarrassed to very upset can't believe how much I've let my self go!! Anyone else need to lose a massive amount? I'm aiming to lose at least 6 stone, now my tears have dried I'm determined to shift this weight.
