It’s that time of year again when mince pies attack and the baileys is calling.

Trying to stay on the wagon is easier when you ihave the Slenderistas on your side

Hello-ooooo! Thanks for the new thread BOOP, I wasn't on the last few weeks as my head is a bit swamped but I am still here. No loss no gain last month, which I will take.

So sorry to hear you have been made redundant last, just rotten timing on top of everything else. Flowers

Hope the poorpaws pup is OK, that sounds awful.

Whoop! Thanks BOOP Thanks

I have my December 1st start weight of 11st 2.6 which means I ended up with a 3lb loss in November. Not dramatic by any means but it represents a flatter stomach and a lot less jiggle so I'm happy.

Now onto the tricky month...

Ooh a shiny new thread! Happy December everyone.

Checking in to keep myself on the straight and narrow. The office is starting to fill up with chocolate and I keep missing all my running sessions because of work or social events.

I felt like I'd failed at the end of November but just looked back to the start of the thread and I'd set myself the target of 10:10 by Christmas and I lost 6lb last month. Currently 10:12.

So close! Just need to keep on it and not let it slide in the wrong direction. Halo

Thanks for the new thread Star

My start weight is 10st 11.5, means I lost 2.5 in November.

Would love to see 10st 4 by the end of this month! Wow! Would be happy with under 10st 7 though, perhaps that’s more realistic with it being Christmas.

Just had half a bowl of porridge whilst running late this morning! Now having some blackberries on the tube Grin

Happy December all

Starting the month on 9.12... Desperately hoping I will still be in the 9's come January!

I can feel the christmas nibbles taking over already mind you, last night was making a few bits and bobs for my christmas hampers... and couldn't help but "taste" some things....

Fasting until dinner time as I am catching up with old school friends over veggie lasagna and wine... so I am sure that I will not be happy with what I see on Monday morning!

I'm always amazed when I see slim chefs. How do they resist constant tasting?

I suppose in a restaurant/chocolate shop setting you can't just eat all your wears!

I pass the most yummy and eye wateringly expensive french chocolate shop on my way home, and the chocolatier is a lovely willowy french lady called Chloe, the way she talks about food is amazing but I think yes but when do you eat it!!!

Eeeeeeello-ello-ello! Well done to the losers, especially splat - TEN LINDAS is amazing!

lasty I'm so sorry about the job, that's truly sucky.

paws I think taking your foot off the gas for a bit while you're stressed out is fine. How ghastly for you and puppypaws - and how apt your name is today! QuimDog has set upon by a pack of huskies once, and another time bitten badly by a staffie - it was absolutely horrible but his injuries weren't anything like as bad as your pooch's so I can't imagine how distressed you must be. In fact, he's elderly now and got conjunctivitis and very very sad, and even that makes my heart ache, so again, serious sympathy from me Flowers

So I've had a week of two parts. Was out with my sister on Monday, been in he diary since May, so I didn't stress about eating or drinking (although I didn't really eat until we got to the restaurant, more by accident than design), and planned to be Golden as usual until today. But then on Wednesday DH got an amazing new job and, totally uncharacteristically, suggested mid-week Prosecco to celebrate, so we ended up throwing the towel in and I made a lovely courgette pancetta bacon dish which is one of my favourite treat meals. Until then I'd walked zillions of steps and hardly eaten anything though.

So all in all a really crap week but maybe could've been worse? I don't know. I did sort of technically do a 5:2 week (although probably not 500kcal on either fast day) which is supposed to be how everyone is doing it, and by the time you get to maintenance you're supposed to be able to drop to 6:1, it just never seems to work for me - a couple of weekday blowouts usually spell disaster and take ages to claw back.

I started typing that about an hour ago and got distracted, sorry - well done twinkle too, and a fab end of result to you Hair!

French people are a marvel. I remember when we stayed in a property in France which was attached to a family home, the family had us over for dinner one evening. They presented a lovely selection of nibbles so we just grazed, and they split a bottle of wine between seven of us Shock After that I was extremely ashamed of our recycling bin, they must have been staggered by the amount of bottles we'd got through in a week... Hi all. Feeling Christmassy now!

Seemed to have lost 4lbs for November.

This time last year I was 11.4.

So up to the 24/25lb mark. Not quite 2stone.

I am hoping it wasn't just because I was ill and that the weight stays off.

Hairspray what are you going for for your goal weight
Kicking off December with 10 miles run in the bag

HairsprayBabe · 01/12/2017 12:59

9.7 would give me a BMI of 21 so a few lbs under that 9.4 as a going into the weekend weight would be ideal I think to give me a little bit of leeway for partying and such....

Plus it would give me a nice round total loss of 6st, but I would be happy at 9.7.

Just checking in. Thanks for the new thread BOOP.

Oh no Paws. Hoping for a quick recovery.

Well done on all of those close to target.

I am starting on 10st 12, think I was 11st 2lb a month a go so I finally broke the 11st barrier in November. My December target is to not go back into the 11's. My ultimate aim is for 10st 4. I am happy at that weight and think anything under 10 wouldn't look great on me, Mum moaned that I was looking thin last night and I am 100% not. I want to look healthy and toned.

In November my fitness has definitely improved, I am doing three gym classes a week and trying to do one or two runs in addition and of course 10,000 steps - which having a desk job is difficult a lot of the time.

Ended November 8.5lb down so here's to a successful December!
