I am a little bit stiff after days 1&2 Koko! In a good 'Ive stretched and used my muscles' kind of a way Smile

lastqueenofscotland · 04/01/2018 15:23

Yesterday wasn't great but today should be spot on.

fadingblonde1 · 04/01/2018 15:32

Managed to stay on track yesterday which was day 3 for me, and always a difficult day. I'm trying to stick to around 1000 calories a day. I know that's not a lot for most people but I'm short, my resting metabolic rate is only something like 1,150 so dieting isn't easy.

SlingBackWellies · 04/01/2018 15:41

Hello everyone, a bit late to the party, but can I join in? I'm trying the 5:2, but have real trouble sticking to lower calories on non fast days - and some fast days too tbh. Blush I currently weigh 11stone 9 pounds and would love to get to 10 stone. I'm 5' 9", so I think that's a good figure to aim for. Can I stay please?

ProseccoMamam · 04/01/2018 16:04

I have weighed in today, 26 pounds overweight. I have started calorie counting using an app. My goal weight is around 2 and a half stone away, and I'm doing very well with my New Years resolution, I haven't had any fizzy pop since NYE. Just cordial for me (and I had some orange juice yesterday).

BeyondWW · 04/01/2018 19:04

Used my new wrist/ankle weights for my Pilates this evening :)

ARichVernacular · 04/01/2018 20:24

Had a fairly decent day today: boiled eggs and soldiers at about 11.30am, followed by a small bowl of Greek yoghurt with a sprinkle of sugar; few grapes and olives later on, then a big portion of chicken casserole for tea (with a single date for dessert).

Took the cat to the vet today so have certainly shed some pounds Hmm Grin

Anxiouslady · 04/01/2018 20:52

Hi all hope you’ve had a good day. I’ve literally tracked everything onto MFP today and have done ok with calories! Only Day 2 though! Trying to avoid left over chocolates

twinkledag · 04/01/2018 21:49

@ProseccoMamam - I have been good with the no fizzy drinks too. Been drinking lots more water.

I'm on day 3 of Dry January and bored of it already!

Food-wise I wasn't good today. Had a meeting which ran late then out with a client to a pizza and pasta place, I was hungry and I had pizza Blush. I'll be better tomorrow, seeing this as easing myself in gently!

Planned meals for tomorrow - scrambled eggs, chicken salad, chilli and a side salad.

ProseccoMamam · 04/01/2018 21:58

@BeyondWW what do the ankle weights do? I'm off to google!

@twinkledag I haven't found it as hard as I thought it would be to be honest. I haven't had cravings for any fizzy pop so far so I'm glad. And I don't think I have been making up for it with other food groups I.e eating more chocolate to satisfy sugar cravings. I'm sure it will get harder as the months go on and my binge food list decreases bit by bit! But for now I am doing well so I am happy Smile

cottonwool125 · 04/01/2018 22:22

Fell off the wagon a bit today. Had a couple of mini donuts and a third of a tub of frozen yoghurt (trying to justify that it wasn't as bad as ice cream!)

Jumping back on board tomorrow!

Waking up to day 4 and my official Friday weigh in, 11.8.4 which is a 2.2lb gain over my Christmas WI. That’ll do as a starting point.
keep I’m a member in a gym that just does classes, weight classes/trx/kettlebells/bootcamp - so for me it provides me with something I can’t do properly on my own. For cardio I run when I can, walk a lot, even match on the spot to hit my 15k target a day. In my opinion if the gym is only going to be used for cardio, it might not be worth it unless you really will commit to go, if it’s the only way you’ll get your exercise in. Calories burned pounding the path are no different to treadmill calorie burn, except ones free😉

chemicalkevsmoped · 05/01/2018 07:07

Morning! I'd love to join in here too. Haven't weighed myself in a while as can't face the scales so I will get a week or two of clean eating under my belt before I take the plunge. Doing low carb and not felt too hungry or deprived so far and I have batch cooked some meals for the freezer which seems to be helping. It appears that the experts are right and being organised is key (well it's helping me anyway).

Kikisdeliveries · 05/01/2018 07:59

Welcome slingback and Chemical!

My freezer is a filled with homemade soups at the moment to stop me raiding the breadbin or sandwich shops for lunch!

The post-feasting whoosh loss has come to an end now. But I'm back to putting on a belt rather than work trousers fitting perfectly around the waist so back to pre-Christmas normal in many ways.

I might make a 7lb loss in a month for the first time ever on these threads though! The next 2.5 Lindas will be much tougher, ie, business as usual.

HairsprayBabe · 05/01/2018 08:30

10.4 boo was hoping for another off this morning as was also tres golden yesterday.

Not sure what I am doing for dinner tonight, might be going shopping with DM today in which case I will be out for lunch so might just be a smoothie or soup.... if not maybe a chilli bowl.

TVHubbyClaire · 05/01/2018 08:56

A disappointing 12st 8 1/2 today. No surprise as I ate a big stir fry last night quite late

Bought some rather neat fitting clothes in a sale last night so really can't afford any slip ups. I need to get a few Lindas off for it all to work well Hmm

HappyGowerGirl · 05/01/2018 09:14

Hey all & welcome newbies!

I've fallen off this thread a bit as I've been in hospital with my child for the last week. It's nothing too serious (for him) though unfortunately for me it has meant eating from vending machines and having giant Costa coffees... At least I've been far, far away from the leftover Christmas chocolates at home, and I've also skipped a few meals. So who knows what the scales will say when I finally face them.

BitOutOfPractice · 05/01/2018 10:05

Hello TV nice to see you.

I ate late last night too. I don't like to eat a big meal before the gym and DP didn't get back from work till nearly 7 so by the time we've faffed about a bit it's 7:30 before we get to the gym and 9pm before we get out. Not sure how to change that up to be honest

Hope your DC is doing better now Happy.

You can do it TV, clothes are a good motivation.

I am a low-carber too chemical, planning on doing some batch cooking on Sunday before going back to work so I can get back into it. I have been eating fine over Christmas mostly but I may just have had a croissant. Blush

SlingBackWellies · 05/01/2018 12:34

Bit of a disastrous day yesterday - packets of leftover Christmas choccies called to me - and I answered. Trying for a fast day today, ok so far but have just made some spicy parsnip soup and there's fresh bread out of the machine - trying to be strong Confused

ARichVernacular · 05/01/2018 14:50

Hope your DC is on the mend now Happy.

Alright day again so far: had massive breakfast (banana, grapes, walnuts and Greek yoghurt, followed by two bits of peanut butter toast Confused) so decided that would be lunch as well. Just been for a quick swim before picking up kids from school. Still enjoying dry January!

NewYearNiki · 05/01/2018 15:04

I had a good day yesterday. First day back from holidays.

Got on the boditrax today and I have gained 100 grams. In other words no weight gain.

I'm astonished as I ate my body weight in chocolate and litres of irn bru and baileys.

Shit. Oh well. No damage to undo.

cottonwool125 · 05/01/2018 17:37

Another pound down this morning! Making the total so far this week 1 3/4 pounds. However that might have been slightly undone today Confused. Had an okay breakfast, and went swimming with DS, but then we went to a cafe for lunch and I had fish goujons and chips, and hot chocolate Shock. Feeling pretty disgusting now. Tracking it all on MFP wasn't nice, either. I'm still under 2000 for the day, so I'm hoping I won't gain any of the weight back I've lost. Fruit for tea, and then 100% to plan tomorrow. Have a very healthy food shop coming tonight which should help quite a lot.
