Anyone else planning to start on 1st January?

I need to lose approximately 30lbs.

Well done everyone.
bunny you should take your clothes that are now too big to oxfam and pick up some new in a smaller size . Repeat this process until you are happy with your weight and then go shopping on the high street.

FlexTimeCheekyFucker · 11/02/2018 09:54

I'm 13 lb down since 1st Jan. Pleased with that just need to keep ploughing on.

wizzler · 11/02/2018 10:41

That's awesome Flex. You must be really noticing the difference. I feel I have lost my mojo a bit this week ... and it's snowing so I can't even take ddog for a long walk. Am not looking forward to weigh in tomorrow.

FlexTimeCheekyFucker · 11/02/2018 12:32

Thanks Wizzler. My loss is really slow now. I've had a horrible lurgy for a couple of weeks so done very little exercise. I got back on the bike yesterday though (literally) so hope that will help and also keep me motivated. Dry January ending isn't helping either. Good luck with the weigh in. Don't lose heart.

WeirdCatLady · 13/02/2018 11:01

Well done everyone xx another 4lbs off so that’s 20lbs since jan for me.

RenaissanceBunny · 13/02/2018 19:29

Wow I'm so impressed - everyone has been doing so well ! Great work on the weight loss folks. Keep at it.

Since the 1st of January I'm down 25lbs which I'm quite proud of. To get to the 'normal' weight bit of the bmi chart I need to lose about 70lbs. However I'm not focusing on that, I am focusing on the fact that I've lost 25lbs and come down 6 points on the bmi. At the moment I am looking to lose another 2lbs as that gets me to something and a half. Even if I only get that far and then stop for a bit and maintain I'll be really happy. (and the lightest I've been since I was about 20).

Once more unto the breach ladies - we can keep going

wizzler · 14/02/2018 21:49

Fantastic Renaissance.. great achievement.

I am still in the zone though a bit put out that as I am averaging just over 1lb a week it will be May before I am really happy with myself.

However, if there is any justice I should have a good result this week. For the first time ever I made pancakes for the kids yesterday, and did not eat any. Normally I have more than the kids do, with huge slabs of lurpak carved onto them, sprinkled with sugar. Surely i must lose 2lbs at least for that performance.

FlexTimeCheekyFucker · 15/02/2018 07:38

Great losses there. Well done. I've had 2 indulgent days so checking in to remind me to be very strict for the next few days so I don't derail and lose my mojo. Keep at it everyone.

FlexTimeCheekyFucker · 15/02/2018 07:44

Ive just checked back through the last 3 pages and there are 10 of us posting on here now. Surely the most exclusive thread on MN.

WeirdCatLady · 15/02/2018 08:52

When’s your weigh day wizzler? Well done for not having pancakes. I admit this is the first year ever I’ve not had any, as I am incapable of eating them without a gallon of golden syrup. We go on holiday in 21 weeks and the diet will be off for two whole weeks. I’m already daydreaming about what I will eat and drink 😂

wizzler · 15/02/2018 17:55

Weigh in is on Monday. So far I have kept on track so fingers crossed.

WeirdCatLady · 20/02/2018 08:55

How did your week go Wizzler? I’ve stayed the same again. It’s gutting. I’m already counting all of the proteins that are supposed to be free on ww, so now I’m just going to point everything. It means I’ll be eating a lot less fruit, I’ll be eating a lot less of everything. Seriously disheartened again. Ww always used to work well for me, but they’ve changed it so much it’s pretty crap now.

FlexTimeCheekyFucker · 20/02/2018 12:55

I'm back down 300g (yayGrin) to where I was on the 15th. Not very organised food wise so feeling hungry and snacking more than I was when we started.

wizzler · 20/02/2018 21:50

Stayed the same WCL. Similarly hacked off and struggling not to ravage a box of Maltesers in protest . Somehow eating an orange isn't the same

wizzler · 25/02/2018 20:49

am praying that the snow stops me getting to the scales. Have gone off the rails. DS and I made a cake, most of which I have scoffed, and today, while waiting for DD I woofed a ripple bar down. Having had a full roast dinner only 3 hours before.

There is no excuse. Can only hope that the artic conditions buy me time to improve for next week

wizzler · 27/02/2018 07:27

Braved it and lost 1 lb. hurrah.

Ps.... is anyone there?

frankiehat · 27/02/2018 10:29

I put on a lb at the weekend as was away for the weekend. Did lots of steps but wasn't enough to combat giant fish and chips...

Am trying to be stricter this week but just want to eat crisps.

WeirdCatLady · 27/02/2018 12:52

Well done wizzler.

I’m down 4 lbs this week, so that’s 24 this year. Bored with the diet but keeping on. Got a holiday booked for July and already compiling a list of all the food I shall be munching on as the diet will be on hold.

Frankie, very jealous of your fish and chips 😊

How’s everyone else getting on?

FlexTimeCheekyFucker · 27/02/2018 15:43

Still here. Up 300g again. I'm stuck. Grr. Well done to the losers.

WeirdCatLady · 27/02/2018 17:14

Blimey flex, those are precise scales you’ve got. Keep going though xx

FlexTimeCheekyFucker · 27/02/2018 23:01

They are digital and measure to the 10th of a kg, damn them.

wizzler · 28/02/2018 05:46

WCL that's brilliant . Must make a huge difference .
Frankie at least you know why you put weight on and it was only 1lb
Flex. ... keep going ...

Dd made me make kale crisps with her last week and they were ok actually... and easy to do.

I have been walking an extra 2 Miles a day this week to and from the bus to avoid driving in heavy snow. Am in Sheffield and we were promised a real dollop... but so far hardly any . The dc are devastated as schools are all open.. not even enough for a snowman. Local radio has been referring to the Beast from the East as Hysteria from Siberia!

wizzler · 06/03/2018 13:10

Another week.. another 1lb off Smile

WeirdCatLady · 06/03/2018 14:23

Great news wizz!

How’s everyone else getting on?

Another 3 for me, so 27 in total. My treble chin is now just a double chin 😂

FlexTimeCheekyFucker · 06/03/2018 16:38

Well done you two. Haven't weighed yet this week as went off piste at the weekend. Still trying though.
