Anyone else planning to start on 1st January?

I need to lose approximately 30lbs.

What a bummer, WCL. Have you maybe miscalculated your points? Dont know much about WW but agree with 10 st to lose you should be losing well at this stage.

WeirdCatLady · 24/01/2018 07:34

Thanks Flex, I don’t think so, I’m using their app so that calculates everything for me. Still pissed off today. Hoping to pull my head out of my arse soon and get back to normal 😂

How’s everyone else getting on?

RenaissanceBunny · 24/01/2018 10:22

Don't worry WCL I'm in the same boat - week three about 10st to lose and this week I'm just losing and gaining the same half a pound. For me it seems it doesn't matter how healthily/little I eat if I'm not doing lots of exercise it just won't budge.

Yesterday was ... well... it involved a starbucks and a mcdonalds...

Today however, the snow is finally melted and I went out for my first run and I didn't die!!! It was only 2km but I went and did it. Plotting a walk as well today and I'll try very very very hard to find enthusiasm for my dancing tonight as well.

wizzler · 24/01/2018 11:59

WCL it's hard work isn't it when other people seem to lose weight relatively easily ... I think you lost a fair bit at the start of Jan though??
I lost 4 the first week then put 2 on the next .. I am now down 3lbs in just over 3 weeks ... trying to keep focussed and remind myself that there could be lots of reasons for fluctuations in a week ... including how many cups of coffee I have on the morning I get weighed.... keep doing the right thing and it will all pay off eventually

wizzler · 29/01/2018 13:04

2lbs off this week... glad I resisted those DoritosSmile

FlexTimeCheekyFucker · 29/01/2018 14:44

Well done Wizzler. I've been in bed all weekend with the lurgy. Not moving and eating badly. Will weigh tomorrow to see tbe damage.

wizzler · 29/01/2018 18:58

Fingers crossed flex

FlexTimeCheekyFucker · 30/01/2018 15:40

Not too bad. I'm only 0.2kg up on my lowest weight (from 26th Jan). Now to keep at it in spite of feeling dreadful and only wanting cheese sandwiches made with fresh white bloomer.

RenaissanceBunny · 01/02/2018 11:07

So 1st of the month. I rather dropped out of trying to lose weight in the last week (I’ve been job hunting) but since the 1st of January I’ve lost 16 and a half pounds and 1/2 an inch off my measurements and 1/2 dress sizes. I’m getting back to trying to lose weight today to see if I can’t lose another 3 and a half pounds to get under 19st. It’s been tricky to get enough exercise lately what with the snow but I’m going to try and do more walking and get back to my nightly dancing. Good luck for February ladies!

FlexTimeCheekyFucker · 01/02/2018 15:20

Well done RB. Not many of us left on here. Did everyone decamp to WhatsApp?

squidkid · 01/02/2018 15:21

So, 1st of the month check in.
I'm still having mainly 1200 calories days and have changed lots of my habits which I hope I can continue to take forward. I was eating enormous breakfasts, which I have reduced. I eat a very light lunch, or skip it. I am drinking a lot less alcohol.

My clothes are fitting better. Going to try and keep this up till April :)

squidkid · 01/02/2018 15:25

I haven't weighed myself for about three years now and am not sure if I want to! I have some tight fitting clothes which I use to assess how my size is compared to the last decade or so. I used to get very frustrated with the numbers. I was really very tiny at one point and still had a BMI of about 24 or something. I think I have a heavy head ... lots of brains Grin

frankiehat · 01/02/2018 16:34

Weighed in this morning and in total lost 8lbs in January which am pleased with.

wizzler · 02/02/2018 21:48

Well done all.. I am still here.. plugging away...

Was wavering towards fish and chips tonight, but DH made something healthy instead. I could have killed him... I was in that " I deserve this " mode..

I pulled myself together and had a cup of tea instead of a glass of red.. I usually have a glass or two on saturday nights so will have to wait 24 hours!

Do any of you have cereal for breakfast ? Ddog and I share a bowl of Apricot Wheats but I think there must be something healthier. Anything I had as a child i can only eat with a skip full of sugar on top and I hate the texture of porridge.. so I am struggling ... any suggestions?

FlexTimeCheekyFucker · 03/02/2018 08:29

Down again yesterday morning in spite if the lack of activity so very pleased. Ate too much last night though.

WeirdCatLady · 04/02/2018 10:38

I’m still here. I’m very disheartened by ww Flex though. Two weeks and no loss still. I’ve started counting my proteins, like chicken and eggs, even though they’re supposed to be free. Weigh in on Tuesday so fingers crossed.

wizzler · 04/02/2018 11:24

No answers for you WCL, but Flowers. It is so disspiriting when you don't lose especially as you have followed all the rules. I am not doing WW but I suspect those that do would tell you to speak to your leader.

Went out last night to Pizza express, but in my defense I did have one of those salady pizza's, so hopefully not too much damage done.

Hoping for another 1lb off at tomorrows weigh in .

RenaissanceBunny · 04/02/2018 11:47

Hi,

I’ve spent the last ten days putting the same half a pound on and off. But this morning despite pizza and cake on Friday and an evening out with friends yesterday (no alcohol) I’ve lost 3 pounds and now I’m tantalisingly half a pound away from 19st - a number my scales haven’t seen in a long time.

Bizarrely for me drinking lots of water really seems to help with weight loss even if I’m still eating my normal healthy things.

Well done FlexTime, wizzler and frankiehat you’re getting there.

WCL I really don’t know what is going on with you but hugs and keep at it. Even if you don’t lose a single pound you are still eating healthier and fuelling your body better.
Good luck everyone

wizzler · 05/02/2018 13:09

2 off this week. Half a stone since 1st Jan .despite pizza express on Saturday!

WeirdCatLady · 05/02/2018 18:46

Well done wizzler 👍🏻

RenaissanceBunny · 07/02/2018 09:38

Good job wizzler, WCL I hope you see the numbers change soon.

I've broken through the 19st mark and today I'm sitting on 18st12 - now I have the problem that none of my clothes fit Grin so I'm living in the same two pairs of trousers and got some cheap leggings and just putting up with oversize tops. Once I'm a comfortable size 18 I think I'll go shopping - or when I get a job (and get paid). Mostly I'm just so impressed with myself - I've dieted before but usually given up after about 2 weeks and put the weight back on. This time ... I'm living with my parents (temporary measure until a job) so there are people around watching what I eat and there is always a homemade dinner which means I only really have to think about lunch which is easy as soup. Also I'm watching less tv which is my junk food trigger.

Good luck all - when the circumstances are right the weight loss will happen.

WeirdCatLady · 07/02/2018 09:44

Well done Bunny. I love breaking the stone barrier. I’m glad you’re impressed with yourself - you bloody should be 👍🏻

I’ve finally lost again, another 5lbs off, so 1stone2 lost overall, apparently that’s 5% of my starting body weight.

RenaissanceBunny · 07/02/2018 14:47

Wow well done WCL - I’m proud of you! Particularly as you had ages where it just wasn’t budging so major points to you for sticking with it. 5% if you body weight is no mean feat - you’ve lost as much as a 6 month old weighs- it must feel great not carrying that around all day!

FlexTimeCheekyFucker · 07/02/2018 15:51

I was back up again today. And yesterday. Delayed consequence of weekend wine and snackage I reckon. Being extra good since yesterday though so hoping for loss again soon. Not so much to lose now though so ... Have been having a lovely sweet potato falafel and houmous salad from Sainsbury's for lunch. 333 calories and delicious.

frankiehat · 07/02/2018 18:23

I weighed in at 9 stone 4 this morning which is tantalisingly close to my 18 year old weight of 8 stone 13...

Have started eating at 5 with the children so DH eats alone but some nights he doesn't eat until 9pm so who can blame me!
