It’s been 6 years since the first New Mums thread but this year will be the one where we get skinny for Christmas!

We’ve tried pretty much every diet going and have supported each other through the good times and the bad. This will be our year, motivation is high and panic has set in.

sol when is your dental treatment starting?

I'm really trying to be good today. Did a circuit class this morning then had Greek yogurt and fruit at about 250 cals

I keep trying to start it Rachey but I seem to be self destructive at the moment. Not feeling great.

green sorry your not feeling great. I'm feeling like that also. Also my clothes are not fitting either.

Day fairly ok

Breakfast - Greek yogurt with fruit = 250 cal

Lunch - Heinz tom soup 1/2 a small can
5 ritz crackers

Snack - cucumber and some sweet corn and 1 sausage

While typing this I have just eaten 1/2 left pasta in a cheese sauce Sad

Can not control myself

I hope you feel better soon too. Don’t feel bad about the pasta, leftovers are always tempting.

I might have a proper look at the Weight Watchers plan and sort a proper menu for next week. Going to try using the Headspace app more often too.

green my dh uses headspace. It works for him.

Thanks for the support, I'm just finding things very tough at the moment.

Off to my parents at the weekend where I find eating healthy tough and they are big drinkers as well.

The body coach has money off his plan dh is tempted as he has a veggie one now but will find cutting out alcohol hard. I can't believe I didn't drink for 8 months after pregnancy so I could lose weight.......argh I need the motivation back

Just try to enjoy the weekend Rachey. Is it this weekend or next?

I found things difficult after I got married and put on about 2 stone. Work had been stressful for months before but once the wedding was out of the way I could only focus on work things and started confort eating. I suppose organising a wedding had been a good distraction.
Don’t be hard on yourself, your health is the most important thing.

It’s great that your DH is thinking of doing Joe Wicks. You did so well last time. I think I’ll get his veggie book.

You sound like you’re doing great Pom, how are you finding non fast days?

Rachey could you meal plan so that your non fast days have really nice meals in them so you can focus on that to get you through? I can’t have biscuits or crisps in the house, I make a complete pig of myself if I do.

Green the headspace app is great. I used it for a while, thanks for the reminder I must try it again.

I’ve been doing ok. Trying to be a bit more active and my diet has been largely made up of soup and hummous. Weigh day is Tuesday but it’s TOTM so I’m expecting less of a loss as I’m very bloated and sore. Dental treatment starts on Wednesday. I am dreading it.

Not doing great on non fast days unfortunately.
I'm going to weigh in on Tuesday as well Sol Soup and hummus sounds great.
I must check out the headspace thing, my worrying (and general irritation) seems to be worse recently.
Sorry to hear you don't feel great Green be kind to yourself,

Christmas prep is well underway here Pom. How are you getting on? Nearly everything done so I am trying to avoid buying for the sake of buying. The bargain threads on here have been brilliant and I’ve had loads of ideas. My two don’t get lots for Christmas so I’ve managed to stick to my budget. I just need to do a toy cull in the next week or so to make space.

We have been looking at buying new beds, kitchen table and sofas for the house so I’m all about the interiors. I’m just trying to keep busy really and trying not to stuff my face. I’m also thinking of starting up a private pension, I was talking to some friends of MIL’s who are coming to retirement age and they were planning on childminding etc to supplement their state pension, it freaked me out at the thoughts of doing that in my mid sixties.

sol wow, that freaks me out too. I don't want to work till I'm late sixties/seventies. Well done on nearly completing your Xmas prep. What have you got dcs?

I've no ideA what to get dcs, we don't buy much as we taken them away to Lego land ect so that's part of their present.

Private pension very good idea Sol I agree with you, looking forward to retirement and not working in my 60's. I feel I need help with interiors, also go with a safe option and should be braver.

rachey didn't manage a strict fast day today, will try and do Wed/Thurs. I tend to stick with yogurt and fruit (200 cals), Soup (150) and stir fry (250) or chicken salad (250).
Your presents sounds good. DS is getting mostly Lego and ready to robot? DD keeps changing her mind ! I have got her a few things, colouring, Lady from lady and the tramp, a onesie and a jewellery box. They both need new scooters.
DH and I have agreed not to buy for each other - we might get something in the sales, we're really busy at the mo, so cutting down stress. I have got the liberty calendar to open.

How are you Green Hope you are feeling brighter. How's your Christmas planning?

I am weighing in tomorrow, I need to lose around 5lbs in next 3 weeks to fit in my dress for work party, don't want to buy another !

pom yeah I sucked at my fast day yesterday also. I think next week I'll do jd for a week see how that goes?

Good ideas and you and dh not buying each other gifts. The robot sounds amazing I'm going to google that maybe dcs will like it?!?

Where is the dress from? I had to buy another dress the other week, really didn't want to but when your dress that you want to wear has another 6 inches before it does up.......there is no other choice.

I got a black maxi sequin dress. Was a bit of a bugger to get on and off but looked ok.

Today's meal plan

Greek yogurt with fruit - 300 cals
Apple - 60 cals
Crudités and dip - 300 cals
Oxo cube - 10 cal
Either soup or salad for dinner

Spin tonight easily burn 500cals +

Your DS's might like it rachey I've no idea what it is though Grin I ordered from Amazon.
Diet plan sounds good as does dress. Mine is from Coast (such a shame they are closed now).

I weighed in and lost 1/2 chuffing lb! I might do a reweigh tomorrow in case of a miracle,

Yogurt and fruit - 200
Soup -250
Beef and veg ? 300 cals

If need a snack, maybe an apple and a slice of cheese -150 cals

Spin class completed burnt about 550 cals but I think I've eaten over 3000 cals today Sad

pom I've seen those robots on a advert on the kids channels. I think some of them come with slime? How did your run go?

Feeling more motivated again today. Just done some meal planning.

Don’t think I can face anything extreme until after Christmas (I don’t have any events to worry about!). Just concentrating on eating properly and trying to cut out as much sugar as possible.

I don’t feel prepared for Christmas although I think I have most of the DC presents. I’ve got my grocery slot booked so plenty of time to think about that.

Well done on all the fasting and exercise.

Morning.

Dental surgery all done and dusted and I stuffed my face because I was so happy I could eat. Back on plan tomorrow as I have to go out for lunch today.

I need to do something a bit drastic diet-wise. I fancy losing a stone by Christmas. I think I’ll do JD starting on the 9th Dec as I have two Christmas parties next weekend. But nothing to wear. Maybe I’ll do JD this week too? Would it be wrong to do it all the way to Christmas? I’m not sure I could last though.

Loving the new thread titles. Not long to go until this one is full.

Morning all, I'm armed with my JD day 2 foods. It's so bloody hard though as soon as I got to work there was cake 😭

Boiled egg and grapefruit for breakfast
Chicken and tomatoes for lunch
Steak and salad for dinner

Work have asked if I can swap a Tuesday for Thursday, so means working Monday, Wednesday and Thursday not sure what to do? 🤔

How are you all getting on? I have a sequin maxi skirt in need to squeeze into for 22nd so I really have to knckle

Morning all, I had a good cry last night cannot believe how quickly I've put weight on.

I need to stop this cycle of binge eating and starving myself.

Today's food plan
Greek yogurt with berries and banana - breakfast
Egg - snack
Soup - lunch
Veggie crudités - snack
Tofu stir fry with soy instead of sweet chilli - dinner

Late night at work so can't be bothered to cook so falafel salad
