It’s been 6 years since the first New Mums thread but this year will be the one where we get skinny for Christmas!

We’ve tried pretty much every diet going and have supported each other through the good times and the bad. This will be our year, motivation is high and panic has set in.

Sol you poor thing. Hope you feel much better now? I am sure that steroid weight will be all gone soon, you'll more than likely be below starting weight. Definitely a super model !

I need to work out diet weeks until Christmas, think it might be 6??

I feel a good bit better, thanks Pom. I put on 10lbs of water weight but I was on a very high dose steroid, I was shrinking down like crazy once they stopped.

Sorry to hear you are struggling Green anything we can do to help?

So I've worked out there are 5 weigh ins until Christmas (6 if motivated!!), I'm aiming for a minimum 7lb weight loss.

Today I have had:
2x coffees with splash of soya and 10 cashew nuts - 100 cals
Greek yogurt, berries and granola, 350 cals.
Soup mid afternoon - 150 cals
Chicken with lots of Veg - 450

Well that’s the kick up the arse I was looking for. I have been eating healthier all week and I did a bit of batch cooking over the weekend so I’m having proper meals instead of junk. I’ll get MFP back up and running.

Green maybe the 5 week fear will be your motivation. It’s not a super long time but you could make a big difference.

Pom your menu looks lovely. Are you fasting/ low carbing? I might try granola for breakfast, I’m trying to avoid toast.

How was your honeymoon Rachey? A stone is just a sign of a good holiday, it’ll be gone as soon as you start eating normally, holidays are always good and drinks fests.

I’m feeling much better thanks. I culled my wardrobe of all the things I will never fit in to again and even if I did they are so hideously out of style that I couldn’t wear them anyway. It was very cathartic.

Eating has been awful I'm very large and bloated at the moment.

Good work on the wardrobe cull Sol Granola is good, I try and stick to the low sugar ones and only have a little. I occasionally have peanut butter on toast, but I like it a bit too much !

It's so difficult to get motivated. I've been so so. Got dreadful pmt which is not helping.

How are you green and rachey and Sol I was wondering if we should do a strict 2 weeks or something (anything !)

I’m definitely on for a strict two weeks. I’m having dental surgery in two weeks and can only have soup and soft food for the next two weeks as my teeth are killing me. But after that I’m on for it.

Work had a guy in to take some pics, oh sweet Jesus, I’m an ork. The size of my arse and the rolls of fat on my back, I am huge. I keep self sabotaging. But after seeing those pics I keep thinking of them every time I reach for crisps.

How’s everyone else getting on? Sorry for the self indulgent post, Om just so gutted that I keep getting fatter and fatter.

sol I'm with you. I tried a pair of cheapy black primark jeans today just for work and the size 12 wouldn't do up. Considering I had a size 10 pair earlier in the year.

Do you think stick pictures up of ourselves on our fridge might stop us from eating?

I get you on the self sabotage I was going to do exante this week, did really well Monday then Tuesday and today I have prob eaten 3000 cals each day. No word of a lie. It's shameful

I would be too ashamed to stick pics up on the fridge, but they are on my phone when I need to look at them. I have set myself a goal of losing 1 stone by 7th Dec as that is works Christmas do and thenanother 7lbs by Christmas. I’m going to stick to 1100 calories per day until my teeth are fixed and then I can have another look at it.

I was thinking of Exante too Rachey but I’m not sure I could stick to it. I seem to have hit a self destruct button with my weight, my size 18 trousers are skintight and I’m not going up to a 20.

I have to have 2 root canals and a wisdom tooth extraction in two weeks. I’m dreading it. It’s costing the same as a two week all inclusive holiday in Spain.

I survived Friday night. Usually I’m related by a Chinese or something but I had soup, hummous and carrots and two packets of lentil curls, not a big bag of crisps in sight. Hoping to do that again tonight.

My name is Sol and I have no will power.

Saturday went fine but I went off the rails yesterday, I had so many carbs. So back on it today and I’m avoiding the scales until about Weds.

I feel so uncomfortable in my own body at the moment. Even things like leaning over to tie my shoes mean I have this big lump of a belly in my way. It’s so depressing.

Today I’m going to try and fit in a walk at lunchtime, even if it’s just around the block. I need to do something.

Morning all,
Starting the 5:2 up till Xmas. Monday and Wednesdays are my fast days, as I don't exercise on these days.

Today I'm planing
M&S country vegetable soup - approx 160 cals
And stir fry for dinner. Fingers crossed.

What is everyone buying dcs for Xmas?? Ds2 is Easy dinosaurs, trucks ect ds1 is harder he wants a bloody hp laptop???

sol we can hand hold. I'm finding I have zero willpower or control at the moment too. Started off well yesterday then at 7 yes 7 dark chocolate digestives Blush then had veggie meatballs and pasta for dinner BlushBlushBlushBlush
