It’s been 6 years since the first New Mums thread but this year will be the one where we get skinny for Christmas!

We’ve tried pretty much every diet going and have supported each other through the good times and the bad. This will be our year, motivation is high and panic has set in.

Guys I am so struggling today. Really hungry. I can't focus or anything. Sad

Racheyg · 10/09/2018 16:57

Shit.... I've caved and eaten SadSad

Pomegranatepompom · 10/09/2018 18:55

Green 20lbs off for Christmas sounds a great plan. I may have to join you. Although today did not go to plan as I as so tired etc and had no will power.

Sol I'm a chronic picker too (it must be an illness !) Hope your headache as gone and DS feels less clingy.
Are you still childminding or have you started to work with your DB?

rachey love the jumpsuit, really suits you. Sorry work still on your mind.

I am going to try and do a fast day tomorrow plus a run !

Greenrabbit · 10/09/2018 21:39

Love the jumpsuit Rachey.
Exante is so difficult.
I’ve been really hungry today too. I decided to eat breakfast and I’ve been obessed with food all day. It’s not been too unhealthy. I’m wondering if it might be better for my metabolism? Normally I don’t eat much till the afternoon and end up picking on rubbish.

It’s hardvto get back into things after a break Pom. Good plan for tomorrow.

I hope you are feeling better Sol.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 10/09/2018 21:49

Rachey the jump suit is lovely. I love that it has sleeves, you should definitely keep it. What did you end up eating? My two kids are very headstrong and sometimes I end up shouting, it feels like its the only way they listen. I do have a chat with them afterwards and explain why I reacted how I did. I also prep them in advance about how I expect them to behave and explain any consequences for bad behaviour, that way they know the score. It doesn't always work though.

How was your run Pom, or is that tomorrow? I hate that I pick at food, I end up not counting it because it's only a little bit - but 20 little bits of food is a lot.

I don't start with my brother until October but I've been in doing some bits of training. It's a lot of info to get my head around but it's good. I made it through today not eating lots of crap and had a massive dinner, a healthy one and I'm ready to go to bed.

I wonder if not eating in the evening is better for weight loss. I think I did lose more weight when I stopped food at 1800. Could you have a late breakfast Green ? Maybe eat @ 1000/1400/1800 - think going to try this and stick to 1000 cals most days with 1 cheat day per week.

I feel huge :( and I've got to lose the weight I have put on.

Run is tomorrow but I did run at the weekend, was hard. I am going to work on increasing my distance. That's a good way to think about picking. Well done on not eating crap Sol sounds like you're new job will be positive !

SolitudeSometimesIs · 12/09/2018 05:49

I feel less bloated when I don't eat after about 7pm, but it's hard not to have some biscuits with my cup of tea in the evening. How was your run Pom? How far are you running? You must feel great after a run even if it's hard, you're doing brilliantly.

I was in bed by 9pm last night, the kids are very tired since school started back and they are so grumpy, so it was early beds for all. Trying to stick to 1200 cals again today. Wish me luck!

Oh shit. I pressed send when I went tto correct my post.

I clearly haven't lost 717 lbs. I'm not that fat Blush

Oh technology, you complete asshole Grin

Anyway, I'm really happy that I'm finally seeing some results, it's taken bloody ages but I feel like I'm achieving something at last.

I'm not doing so great here. Will
Post more tonight x

Greenrabbit · 12/09/2018 18:35

Well done Sol!

emmamehimandthem · 12/09/2018 18:47

I’m so glad that I came across this thread. Picking is my flipping downfall. I’ll be good all day long and then evening approaches and before I know it, I’m picking at everything in sight.
Problem is, I need to get some weight shifted as I’ve booked a surprise holiday for my hubby’s 50th next March and really don’t want to be harpooned on the beach mistakenly for a beached whale!

Pomegranatepompom · 14/09/2018 14:18

Amazing Sol So brilliant - keep going !

How are you Rachey and Green ?

Welcome Emma Have you got plan in mind? Where are you going on Holiday? I'm sure that no-one will think are you whale like.

I've been a bit rubbish (a lot) but going to try and have a strict weekend.

Have a lovely Friday everyone.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 16/09/2018 09:13

Hi Emma, where are you off to on holiday? Picking at food in the evening is the worst, I've started staying upstairs in the evening to stop me being tempted.

How are you getting on Pom, did you manage a strict weekend?

I have a rotten cold and I feel miserable. I would quite like to go to bed for the next week but sadly I can't.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Racheyg · 17/09/2018 11:09

I feel like such a fraud. I'm not even trying to lose weight.

I had so much food and booze at the weekend I had to go to bed at 8.30 last night as I have a stomach ache BlushBlushBlush

Racheyg · 17/09/2018 11:09

sol I hope you feel better soon xx

Pomegranatepompom · 17/09/2018 20:50

Hope you fell better soon Sol

don't worry Rachey you look fab in your dress.

How are you green ?

I wasn't that strict, can't seem to stop eating but did go for a long walk plus a run. Will weigh in next Monday.

Have a good week everyone.

Racheyg · 19/09/2018 08:50

Hi guys sorry for the silence work is so busy at the moment.

I've decided to not diet for the moment. It's stressing me out. I had my second dress alterations and needed taking in a inch each side, so I just have to maintain my weight/shape for 3 more weeks Shock

green how are you is your tooth fixed now?

pom how was your walk? Do you have a dog? I've prob asked this before, but do you use a running app?

sol how are feeling? How's ds2 getting on at school?

I've lost my heart rate monitor and can't afford a replacement at the moment, I'm gutted as I find it a real motivator while working out.

Have just paid over £200 for little extra bits for the wedding which I didn't budget for. It's all getting very real now. It's crazy I'm just hoping everyone has a good time as don't get bored?!? Silly isn't it.

I have my hair extensions put in tomorrow. I'm so nervous I won't know how to style them and they will end up look like rats tails (like a lot of z list celebs) but she has assured me it's the quality of the hair and her before & afters are amazing. (A few at my gym use her so I know they are real b&f and not fake pictures)

I also have my afternoon tea on Saturday with dm, dmil, dsis, and dsil x 2 it's bottomless champagne and have also booked cocktails afterwards. I'm very excited Grin

I have brought myself a new top to wear with my leopard print skirt on Saturday so I'm hoping i will look good.

God I'm so sorry for the stupidly long post very self indulgent Grin

emmamehimandthem · 20/09/2018 14:56

pomegranatepompom I’ve not really got a plan in mind as such just watching what I eat and upping my exercise. Last time I did it and stuck to it I managed to shift 4 stone but then fell of the wagon and put it back on Sad
solitude We’re off to the Canaries(one of the few short haul places that are still warm in March) but I’ve just not got into it as much as I would have liked to this month. My little one starts nursery next week so I’ll be scheduling gym time or swimming in after drop off

Racheyg · 24/09/2018 09:19

Morning all,

Been a crazy few days and spent yesterday seriously hungover. Had the most amazing afternoon tea on Saturday Grin

Got my hair extensions in - feels very strange having hair all down to my back.

emma welcome, sorry I do f know how I missed your first post. Holiday sounds great, how old is your little one?

How is everyone else doing?
