Hi everyone, here we are with out 4th thread.
I really can't believe just how well everyone is doing.

Joash 12lb loss in 6 days. That's fantastic. I'm like you, i also have a cheese weakness!!!

hercules1 8lb loss in 6 days. Brilliant.
You don't have to wait until you reach goal before you eat food again.
There are lots of food plans to choose from.
Have you tried FIBRE 89? helps you if you do get constipated.

catsmother I cannot believe that you've lost another 5.5lbs this week.
You are an inspiration to all of us.

gtimama 1st 1lb in 2 weeks is a great loss.

michaelad How are you getting on with day 4?
You can have the berry powder in the first week.
Theres also an orange powder as well. I didn't like this as much!

Thelittlesoldiersmummy How fantastic must you feel losing 22lb in a week?
That has to be the most i've ever heard of.
Well done you.

Sorry that i've not mentioned everyone, but i'd be here all day if i did that.

I've been doing this diet for 13 weeks now and have lost 38lbs and 1/4 oz.
My next weigh in is on wed as my CDC has been away on hol.

Have tried to be good, but also caved in a few times with the kids easter eggs!!!!

fussy, I'm doing ok! Have been somewhat naughty today as we went out to the zoo and I did not have any convenience packs so I took a few bits of chicken (no skin), some rocket salat, celery and 2 sugar snap peas with me to munch on instead. Gave alot of thought to the Carb and Sugar content and it was a very small portion..so hopefully that was ok.
According to my scales I have lost 5lbs so far. Can't wait for my weigh in on Tuesday!

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 08/04/2007 19:53

Well easter is nearly over thank goodness and although I havent cheated I have not drunk enough water - Its hard to drink so many ltrs when your visiting family oh well I will have to up take my water from now on!!!

Oh fotgot to say welcome to new thread!

Fussymummy it didnt turn out as much as that my my cs scales (I had weighted in the morning nude she weighted me in the evening after 6 ltrs of water fully dressed with my shoes on! so my official lose was 13lbs but still in my first week!

fussymummy · 09/04/2007 00:31

Thelittlesoldiersmummy 13lbs in first week is still excellent.

I sometimes don't drink enough.

Especially if i'm going out! I seem to spend most of my time in the loo!!!

It's like being pregnant, or when you take kids with you, always need to know where the nearest toilet is!!!

Hi all. Seems we're all doing really well

HAd to resist a bbq and pub lunch yesterday. I took the dogs for a walk whilst the rest of the family ate in a lovely pub. I find the afternoons really hard going and often think that there must be more to life than not sodding eating. But every morning when I wake up and can see a difference in my body I know it is all worth it.

So cold all the time though.

michaelad · 09/04/2007 19:53

Boy, am I glad that Easter is over!!! It was so hard but I resisted (well, mostly). How did everyone else do?

michaelad · 09/04/2007 19:53

Oh, been meaning to ask this.. how often do you get measured and how quickly can one expect inch loss on CD?

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 09/04/2007 20:09

ohhhh I have a bit of sausage tonight I was going to just taste it but i could help my self crap and I was doing so well 2 weeks without cheating oh well tomorrow is a new day I really wish i hadnt though

michaelad · 09/04/2007 20:14

Well, I had a teeny tiny sliver of pizza last night if that makes you feel any better . You can't be good all the time..but just start anew tomorrow morning and don't beat yourself up over it!

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 09/04/2007 20:32

i suppose thanks I am not sure how often the cs measures you mine did last week i go for my second weigh in tomorrow so I will let you know if she does then - but I measured myself any way and in one week I had lost 4 inches all over

luciemule · 09/04/2007 21:53

Hello -well it seems like we all survived Easter without too much cheating (me included surprisingly).
My counsellor measures me every week but I reckon she pulls the tape measure too tight and I haven't actually lost as mkuch as she says. Also - really weird that the fat does move around your body and tells in the measurements. So for example, one week I put on 4 cms on waist and lost 4 off hips and my bust keeps going up and down by 1 or 2 cms. I have noticed the fat around my bum and hips is looser and feels like it's moving away and becoming detached. Does anyone else get this?
Good news today - went to sister's and she made me try on her knee length boots and they fitted - I haven't managed to get boots (even most wellies)over my calves for goodness knows how long so I'm well chuffed tonight and will be ordering myself some nice boots asap.
Good luck this week everyone and welcome shrinking violet - how is it going so far?

fussymummy · 10/04/2007 00:40

My CDC doesn't do the measuring.

She tells us to do it if we want to.

I measured myself when i started in january and measured again today and all over i've so far lost 26".

I'm so pleased with that loss.

Have been quite bad this last week, picking at kids easter eggs and pizza!!

Get weighed on wed so will see just how bad!

I felt so depressed yesterday I am really worried that at the end of this i am going to have loads of excess skin hanging I have decided i will have a tummy tuck and a boob job but the thought of having hanging thighs and big bat wing arms really makes my sad

michaelad · 10/04/2007 10:04

Remind me again, tlsm, how much you will hopefully have lost at the end of this? I already have a bit of an apron like tummy (never mind the stretch mark road mapping) and if I had the money, I'd have a tummy tuck too.

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 10/04/2007 11:04

i need to lose about 168 pounds i have my second weigh in tonight

michaelad · 10/04/2007 11:09

That is quite a bit. Hmmh..any chance you could get it on the NHS if it does happen?

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 10/04/2007 11:32

I doubt it, its not the money side its the fact that i have let myself get so big that this is an issue

hercules1 · 10/04/2007 11:56

My cdc measured by waist and hips first week but not the second. I measure myslef. The biggest difference I can feel is in my clothes. I can wear things that I couldnt wear 2 weeks ago and with ease. It's quite scary really how much I'm shrinking!

I am really looking forward to Sunday when I can start having a bar once a day. Not looking forward to going back to work though. Lots of cakes out all the time and once a week pub lunches I'll have to opt out of with some lame excuse.

I am actually scared of eating again as it's so straightforward to follow this diet and know your'e losing and not putting on. I am not looking forward to aam at all. I love my food and want to eat what I want when I want but know I musnt.

hercules1 · 10/04/2007 11:57

Lsm - having having skin is going to be a thousand times better than having the fat. Have you gone on to minimims? I think there is a thread asking about what happens to you if you have alot to lose with responses from people who have lost a similar amount to you. Hth

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 10/04/2007 12:10

hercules1 to be honest reading the thread on minimins made it all worse ( I have posted there) I am ohhhicantwaittobeasize14 the trouble with me is I looked at photos of people who have lost tones of weight on the net and think oh god is that how I will look!

With my work I have told everyone that i am on the diet so no need for excuses its worth trying the same as they have all been very supportive here!

I know what you mean about AAM week i was thinking of skipping it but then think no because I am looking forward to something to chew! i have read somewhere that maybe instead of adding a meal try adding it to your soups so making them more yummy with some chicken of fish and a few veg thats what I will be doing

ShrinkingViolet · 10/04/2007 12:21

I have a couple of friends who lost loads (7 stone plus) on Lighter Life and neither of them have loose skin apart from maybe a little bit around the neck - and yes, I did make them show me their bare tummies .
Apparently it depends a lot on your inherited skin tone, same as stretch marks.
I survived Easter (apart from yesterday which I'm pretending didn't exist, although I wasn't as bad as I would have been a couple of months ago ) even though we still have 14 Easter eggs here uneaten. My downfall is the "glass of wine in the evening", but as we've now broken all the nice wineglasses, I'm stuck with the horrid little ones, and it doesn't taste the same .
Am having my next weigh-in on Thursday so fingers crossed yesterday didn't do too much harm.

michaelad · 10/04/2007 16:38

Just had my first weigh in. Lost 8.2 lbs in 6 days! Yippieh!!

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 10/04/2007 16:56

michaelad well done you !!! I have my Second weigh in Tonight !

hercules1 · 10/04/2007 17:56

Well done, Michealad

Good luck Lsm!

michaelad · 10/04/2007 19:34

Thank you Hercules and Lsm, how did your weigh in go tonight?

catsmother · 10/04/2007 22:27

Michaelad - well done on your 1st week's loss, it really does feel good doesn't it.

I think measuring yourself is really important too ...... at the start I did it religiously every week but then kept forgetting. When I did remember, it was always a pleasant surprise ...... and on the weeks when I'd not lost anthing, I did still record an inch loss.

I didn't have a weigh-in today as my counsellor is on holiday. I think that, and the fact I am so near target (about 3lbs last time I looked) has made me a bit slack this week. Well ............ I say slack, but it's far worse than that. I have had a bit of a binge - chinese last night, sausage & chips tonight !

In view of this, I haven't weighed myself - I am scared to. However, will be back on CD properly tomorrow and will probably be brave enough to weigh myself again in a few days time. I need to see this through to the absolute end properly, including going through maintenance for 6 weeks, because no way do I want to waste my new clothes .....

...... went out this weekend to buy myself a wedding outfit - which I did, plus spent a few of my Next vouchers. I am now the proud owner of 4 pairs of size 10 trousers and 4 size 12 tops, and, astonishingly, a bloody size 8 skirt too !!!!!

And after that little lot, I felt a bit complacent and went for the takeaway to "congartulate" myself !

But ....... as I say, back on the diet tomorrow. I do KNOW really that takeaways and chips (at least not all the time) are not the way forward. Bloody nice though. I figure that I do deserve a little treat so don't feel too bad.
