Hi everyone, here we are with out 4th thread.
I really can't believe just how well everyone is doing.

Joash 12lb loss in 6 days. That's fantastic. I'm like you, i also have a cheese weakness!!!

hercules1 8lb loss in 6 days. Brilliant.
You don't have to wait until you reach goal before you eat food again.
There are lots of food plans to choose from.
Have you tried FIBRE 89? helps you if you do get constipated.

catsmother I cannot believe that you've lost another 5.5lbs this week.
You are an inspiration to all of us.

gtimama 1st 1lb in 2 weeks is a great loss.

michaelad How are you getting on with day 4?
You can have the berry powder in the first week.
Theres also an orange powder as well. I didn't like this as much!

Thelittlesoldiersmummy How fantastic must you feel losing 22lb in a week?
That has to be the most i've ever heard of.
Well done you.

Sorry that i've not mentioned everyone, but i'd be here all day if i did that.

I've been doing this diet for 13 weeks now and have lost 38lbs and 1/4 oz.
My next weigh in is on wed as my CDC has been away on hol.

Have tried to be good, but also caved in a few times with the kids easter eggs!!!!

Joash - sorry about your news. You were clearly close to him.

Thanks for the messages re my measly pound loss. I am going to try to drink loads more water and see what happens next weigh in. After raving about the diet to my family it's kind of embarrassing to have only lost this on the second week.

fussymummy · 14/04/2007 23:32

joash sorry to hear about your FIL.
You should lose some weight to make him proud of you, if you know what i mean.

You clearly were very close to him.

Hercules Don't worry about the 1lb loss.
Still off and not on!
My cdc says that it usually means you'll get a bigger loss next time when things catch up.

Don't think i'll do well on tues when i get weighed. Only 6 days since last weigh!!

And i keep eating choc and creme eggs left from easter!!!!

michaelad · 15/04/2007 19:59

And all I can add is that I caved in big time today and had half a burger (no bun) and a sausage and some salad. We'd spent the whole day on the beach on Mersea Island and got invited to a BBQ as soon as we got home. And I just could not resist anymore. Feel pretty bad about it now but am determined to just be good again tomorrow and simply live with the pound loss it will cost me this week. Onwards..... [smie]

bendigoblue · 15/04/2007 22:23

Hello ladies, long time no see!!!!

Been at my mums for 11 days looking after her after a back operation and fell spectacularly off the wagon! Not eating lots, just endlessly picking! Can't seem to stop!

It's not helped by the fact I have now lost 5 stone and everyone keeps telling me to stop! Arrghhhhhhh! I still have 3.5 stone to go to a healthy BMI, I don't want to stop, and yet I can't resist the chocolate eggs... lol.

Tomorrow is a new day, back on the SS wagon I hope!

fussymummy · 15/04/2007 23:03

Hi bendigoblue, good to see you back.
5 stone is a lot to have lost and obviously noticable.
You must look so different and that's why they tell you to stop.
You keep going to get to where you want to be.
You're doing so well.
I've had loads of choc and am dreading my next weigh in!
But if i stick or put on it won't make me stop, i'll just continue and start a new day.

We all have times when we eat things we shouldn't, but if you think back to before you lost 5 stone, i bet you would've eaten loads more snacks and treats than you are now.

fussymummy · 15/04/2007 23:04

michaelad, don't beat yourself up over it, at least you had salad as well!!!!!

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 16/04/2007 08:53

ahhhh crap I completely lost it over the weekend and had some pasta saturday and a curry and chips yesterday!!! what is wrong with me!!! so i am now out of ketosis and I have put on 2lbs since Friday and i was doing so well! anyway today is another day I started swimming this morning did 20 lengths i can do this and to be honest I feel crap today inside wise if that makes sense!

michaelad · 16/04/2007 09:22

Know what you mean, tlsm! I felt really bloated last night after my sausage etc. And the worst bit were the little voices in my head "There you go..knew you wouldn't be able to stick to this for long...you've let yourself down again..."
But I'll try again today..and I guess even if I've only lost a pound or so..it's better off then on.
Bit stressed at the moment too since my period is due and I have seriously painful boobs (sorry if that's too much info) and the only time I have ever had this, was when I was pregnant!! And I had a sterilisation done last December because we thought 2 children were enough. And my way to cope with stress was (and is still) to eat..

luciemule · 16/04/2007 12:26

Hi Michaelad - are you meaning you think that you might be pregnant and the sterilisation didn't work or just that your boobs hurt like they did when you were pregnant?
Don't worry about the sausage/burger thing too - at least it was protein and not carbs really! The fact is that even if you only lose a small amount each week (I'm sure you'll lose more than that though), by trying the sole source it means you're telling yourself you shouldn't eat the food, whereas if you were doing weight watchers or similar and being able to eat food, I think we'd all cave in much more easily. The CD isn't just for whimsical people, I think the majority of people who do it, have made a pact with themselves that they really really want to be a new slimmer person and that this is the only way to do it. (very philosophical for a monday from me there - must have been doing too much housework!.) You can do it - look at the blips I regularly have and even I have almost lost 2 stone. Keep going - you'll be fine - put some warm flannels on your boobs!

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 16/04/2007 13:15

Poor Michaelad hope you feel better soon I would have thought its just your body changing !

michaelad · 16/04/2007 16:25

Yes, I have this sinking feeling that I might be pregnant again and that I am one of those 1 in 500 people where this happens. Have just come back from buying a pregnancy test and will do it in the next couple of days. One thing is certain..if it comes back I'm pregnant I will drown my sorrows in a take out and a bottle of wine

luciemule · 16/04/2007 18:13

Oh Michaelad - don't feel sad - things that happen that we don't want to happen sometimes make things even better than they might have been. I do know someone who got pregnant after being sterilised (and she already had 3 teenage girls) and then she had twins (not saying that to scare you, they ran in the family!)and didn't look back. She said it's wonderful and even though they hadn't wanted any more, is really glad they chose to go ahead with having them.
Don't worry about the diet either - it can wait now you know all about it. It wouldn't mean that you had to resort to your old eating habits either and could be a way of really getting into eating healthly and once the baby was born, get back onto the diet thing. Hugs - Lucie

michaelad · 16/04/2007 18:47

Thanks Lucie!! That hug was just what I needed . Have decided to wait with doing the test until after the weekend but will let you know what the outcome is.
And, are you busy cleaning yet? For how long will your husband stay?

joash · 16/04/2007 20:28

Went for my asthma checkup today and I weigh 30lbs less than I did at this time last year ...30lbs ...BLOODY HELL Not all down to CD - but half of it is.

luciemule · 16/04/2007 23:32

That's great Joash - you must feel proud.
Michaelad - I've been cleaning and tidying all day on and off but the day really dragged and I guess it will seem like forever now until he gets back next Tuesday. He'll be home for only 2 weeks and then goes back for about 3 weeks so not too long a wait before he comes back for good. It will have been 5 months since we saw him so I'm bottling up all my emotions, although I keep breaking down once I sit down at night and have time to think.
Then there's june and july and then we move house again! I can't wait to move to Suffolk and with a pool and gym feet from our quarter, hopefully the weight will stay off once and for all!

michaelad · 17/04/2007 09:13

Lucie I'll definitely be thinking of you come Tuesday! How many times have you had to move now due to your dh being in the forces? Remind me again whereabouts in Suffolk you'll be moving to? Right next to Essex..we could almost meet up at some point
Joash You must feel great about that! And weighing less must be good re. your Asthma.

Apart from that, still feel bad (no period yet) so had some more to eat last night because I got so stressed. And according to my scales I have lost nothing at all this week. No suprise, really. Weigh in is in a couple of hours. Ah well, maybe next week will be better I really need to find a way to cope with stress and not automatically turn to food!!

luciemule · 17/04/2007 11:50

Hi Michaelad - yes was thinking that we could meet up - would be good.
We got married 6 years ago and since then have lived in 5 houses (although 2 were at the same posting) so Wattisham will be our 6th house in as many years! Hence why we're moving back to Northants to our own home in 2009!!! All very unsettling for the kids.
I spoke to a girl today who had started the diet and had as much as me (3 stone) to lose but she stopped after 4 days as she was feeling very ill going into ketosis. It obvisouly wasn't the right thing for her, but just wanted to say how well we all do getting back on the wagon again after blips!

luciemule · 17/04/2007 11:51

Michaelad - Wattisham is 9 miles from Ipswich, near Stowmarket so really not that far from Essex. I will be definitely buying season tickets for Colchester Zoo! My DH loves penguins and I adopted him one from there a few years back so he's keen to go back and adopt him again! How sad!!!

michaelad · 17/04/2007 12:21

Hiya...ol'me again! Just had my weigh in and have lost 2.3lbs! Not great but considering what a mare of a week it's been... So in total that's 11 lbs in 13 days. Am happy .
lucie We have season tickets for Colchester Zoo!! Both our kids absolutely love it. Went Easter Saturday and it was jam packed but still nice.

misdee · 17/04/2007 12:33

hi ladies. I am just now trying to get through to local cambridge counseller with a view to starting next month.

I have been wanting to do this for 6months or so, but dh has been against it. He finally agreed and said he will support me when i started to get sore where my boobs are rubbing in this weather.

So will be popping in and out at times to get ready to go on it.

misdee · 17/04/2007 13:05

scrap that, am starting tomorrow!

michaelad · 17/04/2007 13:07

Excellent, misdee!! Welcome to the club!

misdee · 17/04/2007 13:14

better go find the water jug and put it in the fridge.

bendigoblue · 17/04/2007 13:17

Hi Misdee, think I know you from MumsOnline, welcome on board the Cambridge wagon!!!

Michaelad - Well done on the loss, it's 2 lbs in the right direction!

Joash - Well done! 30 lbs down is a fantastic acheivement! I bet your doctor was impressed!

How's everyone else getting on?

Day 2 of my restart and it's just as hard if not harder 2nd time round, I want to eat so badly! Just looked in my diary and i've been doing the diet for 98 days, can't believe I haven't had a proper meal in nearly 100 days.

Weigh in tomorrow, i'm dreading it. I can't decide whether to own up to my lapse or hope she puts my small loss down to water retention or something lol.

misdee · 17/04/2007 13:19

bendigo yup am on mumsonline as deedee.

i cant belive it took dh this long to say he will support me, but i know he likes his larger ladies, maybe he is scared i'll turn really skinny and go off him (never!!)
