Thanks boop
Feeling a bit of a fraud joining the new thread since I seem to be maintaining rather than losing. I like reading about everyone's progress though & im hopeful that at some stage I'll lose weight.
Well done paws Smile

BitOutOfPractice · 01/06/2017 06:46

Ready you have to stay now. You're family

Well done indeed paws. That's quite the whoosh Flowers

KOKO that's what I've lost too and I'll take it. And now we have a brand new month to play with

Thanks BOOP. Today is a new day.

Squiffy01 · 01/06/2017 07:05

koko that's a good solid loss well done!!

boop thanks for the new thread, hoping to do you all proud this month and not ruin it on my week in Croatia in a couple of weeks.

Weighing in tomorrow instead of Saturday as away for the weekend.

Squiffy01 · 01/06/2017 07:09

Just caught up on the last of May thread. Well done boop on your Linda's gone!

paws I'm very jealous that in 2.5 years you've managed to maintain! That's what I really struggle with.
I'm back at WW myself it seems to be the only plan that works for me for more than a couple of weeks.

TeachesOfPeaches · 01/06/2017 08:00

Those otters can care for themselves. Thanks for the new thread BOOP.

I started my weight loss around mid April I think and now over a stone down with many more to go Grin

HairsprayBabe · 01/06/2017 08:16

Happy first day of summer slender fam!

Hoping to inspire you all smug by weighing in from last month at 10.6lbs, see my stats below Grin

Stats
May Losses
Start
11st2lbs BMI 25.1
Loss
10lbs 6.5% BMI 23.5

Overall
Start weight Sept 16
15st3lbs ShockBlush BMI 34.3
Total loss to date

7lbs for this month would take me into the 9's I am 5ft6 so not sure if that will be too skinny on me, have real maintanance fear now though so any tips will be greatly received. I go on holiday in 9 weeks, so plenty of time to tone up and use the sunbeds before then!

Stellar67 · 01/06/2017 08:42

Wow hairspray. You have every right to show off.

Can you remind everyone what you did/do?

How do you feel?

I'm still the same. I lose it then put it on at the weekend Sad

leesmum · 01/06/2017 09:13

Hairspray that's just amazing!! Well done to you Smile

I lost 5.5 Linda's last month, am now 8.12.5 so if I could lose the same this month I'd be made up, I can already see the difference in clothes Grin
Started 30 day shred today too, did it a couple of years ago and had a lovely defined tummy afterwards 🙏

BeyondStrongAndStable · 01/06/2017 09:25

Wow hairspray! Well done!!
That's seriously impressive 🏆

Here's my total, c&p from the other thread
Weighing in today at 214.2, so that's a loss of 11.4lbs
Aim for June is to get to 210, as I have a week away in there too

ArseyTussle · 01/06/2017 09:54

Good morning all. NSV! Someone at school drop off said I was "tiny".

That's TINY. Grin

Madasahattersteaparty1749 · 01/06/2017 10:08

Joining here I topped a huge 225 lbs at the start of May 😳😱

Last month lost 10lbs so down to 215lbs

19lbs to go to no longer be obese and

Then 38lbs to go to get into healthy range.

HairsprayBabe · 01/06/2017 11:01

Welcome to the best thread on mumsnet(TM) Teaparty!
Stick with us and you will be at your goal in no time!

As for what I did/do Stellar
Started the on the Blood Sugar Diet - 8 weeks 800 cals no rice sugar pasta bread or spuds followed it religiously for the 1st 8 weeks then dropped to a 5:2 approach, so 5 days 800 cals 2 days more relaxed, still try to keep it low carb though, although I usually fail on this!

I am crap at remembering to exercise often enough, and usually get in a poxy 7k steps a day!

I only drink at social events, so no cheeky glass of vino on a Saturday unless we are out.

BSD also helped me to understand the effect snacking has on weight loss, and how grazing, even on healthy stuff like celery sticks will spike insulin and cause weight loss to stall. So I have concentrated on getting full at meal times and not snacking at all.

I don't eat breakfast, never have feel very sicky first thing in the morning so I tend to have (in the week) either ff greek yogurt and fresh berries or nuts for lunch, about 200 calories worth and then save my 600 cals for a big dinner!

I have also tried to focus on stopping eating when I am full, but that is very tricky, as I am a greedy child!

BitOutOfPractice · 01/06/2017 11:17

Hello and welcome hatter. You are among friends here.

I've just made some really nice egg muffin things. I added asparagus and spring onion plus some hot sauce and a smidge of cheese on top and they were lush. I ate two Blush

lastqueenofscotland · 01/06/2017 12:06

Hairspray you are amazing! Are you still aiming for around 10st?

I'm just working on toning up now really. Took a before photo last night Blush and will take an after photo at the end of the month.
Will be interesting!

BeyondStrongAndStable · 01/06/2017 12:33

Hi hatter, very similar numbers here - started may at 226, ended on 214. Really holding my breath to get under 200 for a start, long term goal is about 175 (then I'll reassess from there)

What approach are you doing? I'm on the blood sugar diet :)

BitOutOfPractice · 01/06/2017 12:38

Sorry Arsey I missed you there, what with you being tiny and all Grin

Madasahattersteaparty1749 · 01/06/2017 12:39

Thanks hairspray and practice. I'm interested in what everyone is doing to lose the weight.

I have started a bit of a variation on ADF/5:2 diet. I fast on Monday/Wednesday/Friday and eat normally the other days. It seems to be working with very little effort so far but then I do have a lot to lose. I'm finding on non fast days I'm not eating as much as I used to.

Madasahattersteaparty1749 · 01/06/2017 12:42

beyond hello once I get into healthy BMI I'm going to assess what I actually want to weigh that's quite a bit off yet... I was 135 lbs when I met my OH pre children.

d270r0 · 01/06/2017 13:04

Hi folks, I'd love to join in!
I lurked through most of May but you all inspired me so I did lose 7lbs!
A long way to go though. I am currently 13st13 so hopefully by the end of June will get down to 13st6.
One thing I am worried about losing lots of weight (as I started at 14st8) is my tummy- am a bit worried about lots of extra skin etc. Has anyone whos lost lots had any experience of this? Is there any product in particular you can use to help with this?

BitOutOfPractice · 01/06/2017 13:11

d270r0 hello and well done on your May success.

I think that tummy product / secret / miracle is the one that lots of us are searching for!
