Oh, and if anyone discovers a miraculous tum miracle, let me know and I'll be smearing it on my neck. A combination of age and losing a bit of weight has given me terrible turkey neck.

TVHubbyClaire · 01/06/2017 13:26

Nothing tiny about me unfortunately although lowest starting weight for any month so far. weighed in this morning at 12st 8 1/4

Am going to Lake District on 1 July and would love to be under 12st 5 for that.......fingers crossed

Wow everyone has done brilliantly in May!!
I'm so hungry trying really hard to avoid snacking, already had a rice cake with hummus Blush and some spoonfuls of the girls friend rice I've done for dinner, but if I can bloody stop now I won't have done damage. I still really struggle with the sod it mind set when I have started picking and think I've already ruined it but it is better than it was.

Have a big glass of water squiffy keep drinking till you feel almost sicky

Balonder · 01/06/2017 18:18

Well done everyone. Looks like May was a good month for most, hopefully June will be great for all. I lost 8lbs in May and 4 inches off my waist! It was the kettlebells challenge that toned me up. My upper thigh is a little bigger which the trainer said is lean muscle so fat loss is bigger than on scales. Keeping it up now is the problem. Hoping for a pound a week for June, anything more will be a bonus.
Hairspray you are amazing!!! How have you kept it up with such impressive losses every month? Maintaining progress is my problem

FreeNiki · 01/06/2017 19:05

I havent.

I was 66kg on 1 May.

1 June I am 66.5kg

FML

FreeNiki · 01/06/2017 19:18

I started in January at 11st 4lbs

Now 10st 6lbs

Was 10st 5lbs a month ago so gained a bloody pound

Shakespearesglobe · 01/06/2017 19:31

Can I join? Not got on scales yet (and have had too many chips due to half term week) but need to lose 2 stone at least . TBH if I lost a pound a week I'd be v chuffed! Could do with some group motivation - and accountability to someone other than me!

Squiffy01 · 01/06/2017 19:35

Thanks boop and hairspray I made it! Well I had an apple but stopped everything else. Now on my way home to 3 cheese cannelloni one of my new favourites, never thought I would find that in a weight watchers cook book!

I can't decide what I want my goal weight to be.

FreeNiki · 01/06/2017 19:42

Hi Shakespeare! Welcome aboard! ✊

Shakespearesglobe · 01/06/2017 19:49

Thanks Smile Just ordered a Fitbit to see if I can shed a bit by exercise - not great at not eating Blush

BitOutOfPractice · 01/06/2017 20:35

Hello Shakespeare and welcome. I am a bit obsessed with my Fitbit Blush

poorpaws · 01/06/2017 22:40

Squiffy your leader should help decide your goal weight. How tall are you? I am 5 ft 4 and decided 10st 5 as goal weight, which is at the very top of the healthy weight band. This was back in 2012 but I then went on to get down to 9st 7.

Don't forget you stop paying for the weekly meetings once you reach goal so don't make it too low or you'll be paying for much longer than you need to. Unfortunately I can never see myself getting back to 9 1/2 stones, or getting into any of the clothes I bought when I was that weight.

Welcome newbies, tons of support and wise advice here.

I too am totally obsessed with my Fitbit.

HairsprayBabe · 02/06/2017 06:54

I cant settle on an end goal I initially wanted a healthy BMI then a st buffer from that, but I deff think there are a few wobbly places that need toning as well as a bit more loss. Perfect BMI for my height is 9.7ish, but I don't know how realistic that is.

10.5 for this morning, so the month is off to a good start for me Grin

As for keeping progress up I try not to let setbacks ruin my mindset, e.g went to london for 3 days and gained 9lbs, didnt let that send me into a cycle of oh whats the point, push through plateaus, I was been stuck between 11.7 and 10.10 for March, April and the start of May, but I kept at it because I know it works in the end!

Sometimes it is really good to have a golden weekend because I had fallen into the trap of losing all week and then putting all of it back on at the weekend, so I was reasonably good lasy weekend and I finally broke through my sticking weight of 10.8 that I seemed to be stuck at for at least 3 Fridays in a row!

Squiffy01 · 02/06/2017 07:03

paws thanks. I shall have a chat to my leader next week when I weigh in. I was something that isn't going to be too hard to maintain as I'm really bad at that bit.

Weighing in at home this morning as I can't make WW tomorrow and it's -2.4 for this week. Really happy with that!

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Stellar67 · 02/06/2017 07:37

I have a Fitbit too. Just getting back into using it properly.

Maybe we could have a Fitbit challenge? I'm happy to send my details over the message thing.

Welcome new slenderistas.

Thanks hairspray. Well done for sticking to it. I shall have a look at it.

Have a great weekend all. I am eating out tonight but volunteered to drive to avoid the extra Winecals.

Squiffy01 · 02/06/2017 08:05

stellar that's a good idea! I Would quite like to be part of a Fitbit challenge. Might make me do something on the weekends instead of being so lazy.

Forgot to answer about my height as well, I'm 5ft 7.

readyforsunshine · 02/06/2017 08:16

I could maybe borrow Ds Fitbit, he's stopped using it. I usually try to track with my phone but obv don't have it on me all the time.
Re goal weights, the dukan website has a good 'true weight calculator' it takes into account age, number of children, previous diets, bone structure etc if anybody wants to try it.
hairspray I'm starting to get scale envy Grin go you!

Softpebbles · 02/06/2017 08:18

Checking in!

I have a fit bit too. Like a few in here I have a plateau and then all of a sudden have a new plateau weight that I float around. At my heaviest 11st 9. Now float around 11st 3.

And if I am totally honest I am failing with my will power miserably but I am still here plugging away. It's half term and I have a few days annual leave and I struggle when not in the routine of work. I never have breakfast - usually fruit around 10.30 but because I am off have toast and marmite. Why I don't know. 🙈

I am trying to be more active and do PT sessions once a week/fornight with hit workouts in between the very odd run and cycle rides. Working full time and being a single parent doesn't allow me the time to go to the gym regularly enough for me to have membership -finances also 😒

Anyone have any nice plans this weekend? X

leesmum · 02/06/2017 08:32

I'm up for a fitbit challenge, if anyone wants to pm their email I'll add you Smile

BitOutOfPractice · 02/06/2017 08:39

Oooo I'd love a Fitbit challenge. Who is in charge that can add us all? Of course I won't know who the hell anyone is

OP posts:
BitOutOfPractice · 02/06/2017 08:40

Pebbles all you can do is keep plugging away. Do your best over half term. And then get back in your total groove next week Flowers

I'm down a lb today, but I'm guessing that's dehydration from the bottle of wine Wine
