Joining for some inspiration and motivation!!

BitOutOfPractice · 26/05/2017 09:40

Oooo so many people so close to / at goal. Slenderistas rock!

I was a little up from lowest yestareday but I know that's just a fluctuation type thing. I was golden yesterday despite a very long drive and a bugger for lunch (I loved that typo Grin)

QuimReaper · 26/05/2017 10:22

Was that a burger or a buffet BOOP? Grin

Well done everyone, it sounds like we're all doing great! Will you all stick around when you hit your goals? Blush

Softy fantastic work getting on the exercise - that first push can often be the hardest.

I'm considering rejoining the gym. The one I used to go to wasn't bad, but since moving house it's a bugger to get to, and there aren't really any that aren't. It isn't so much that they're far away as that it's a depressing walk, and my delicate will power can be swayed by things like that Grin

QuimReaper · 26/05/2017 10:26

Oh and hello amys, welcome to The Best Thread On Mumsnetâ„¢ Grin

BitOutOfPractice · 26/05/2017 10:37

It was a buggering buffet Quim Grin And I have t say, there wasn't much choice for this part time veggie

As for getting to the gym, I find that much the hardest part of exercising

And yes, hello Amy. Welcome. What's your diet story? Do you have much to lose? What plan are you using? You've come to the right place here

Gosh everyone is doing so well!

Well done on the new kg bracket Quim!

Queen you are doing amazingly!

Sunshine sorry to hear you are feel ill again Flowers

I am attempting another fast day today before my weigh in tomorrow. Attempting because when I am working late shifts it is so much harder. I am going to try to get through the day on coffee and then have a fair-sized meal around 4pm ish, and snack on nuts and veggie sticks at work if I get the chance. Fingers crossed!

BeyondStrongAndStable · 26/05/2017 10:43

I'm wearing short shorts that I haven't worn for well over a year!! I was gonna take a picture, but they don't look that good Grin

QuimReaper · 26/05/2017 11:18

I want a picture anyway Beyond, I bet they look fab! Grin

sunshine so sorry to hear you're feeling better. Maybe as per your username the lovely weather will give you a bit of a boost? Flowers

BeyondStrongAndStable · 26/05/2017 12:28

BeyondStrongAndStable · 26/05/2017 12:30

Ready, it's the weather. The changes in pressure rather than the actual sun/rain, apparently. Hope you are feeling better this afternoon Flowers

BeyondStrongAndStable · 26/05/2017 12:49

I need opinions...

I'm going to a party later, should I carry on not drinking (which everyone will make a big deal out of and I don't want to steal attention), or take the literal inch of gin I have and make it last?
I did contemplate topping it up with water like a naughty teenager... Blush

BitOutOfPractice · 26/05/2017 13:21

Looking great beyond. So lovely to get into clothes again isn't it!

Don't drink if you don't want to.

Delurking not autocorrect Deluding (though that might be appropriate!), here and I'm loving this thread (will read previous one next)!
I'm 63, 11st. 11lbs having heaped on 8lbs over the past few months..... Desperately need to knock those plus a few more off.
Started hflc yesterday and as I was trying not to head for the biscuit tin I've removed temptation by scrunching them up and chucking the crumbs out for the birds.
beyond I would drown the gin in tonic and ice then just top up with tonic or fizzy water (no one will know the difference).
Fingers crossed I will be losing Linda's soon 😋

BitOutOfPractice · 26/05/2017 15:18

Hello p1nk and welcome. I see you have the lingo off pat already Grin

Where does everyone buy shorts? I never wear them but thought I might brave some for my holiday in June. All the ones I see are too short or too long.

Anyone got any suggestions?

P1nkP0ppy · 26/05/2017 15:40

Thank you ! It shows how long I've been lurking and procrastinatingBOOP 😀

BeyondStrongAndStable · 26/05/2017 16:52

Men's shorts, squiffy Wink

readyforsunshine · 26/05/2017 17:57

Thanks so much to those that have wished me well Flowers it's bloody rubbish having no energy. Today I had no choice but to push through & was so busy I missed lunch. Every cloud! I have a 5am start tomo so hopefully I'll be feeling stronger after a good nights sleep.
tv don't you just hate the waste of cals on a rubbish meal out? Sooo disappointing!
Well done on the shorts beyond I'm still struggling to get into my fat shorts, I used to be able to pull them up over my hips without undoing the zip & now I can only just do them up round my waist Blush
Gap outlet had some nice shorts in squiffy you could prob look online.

amysmummy12345 · 26/05/2017 20:47

I'm 37, 5'3" and 11st6lbs. I've got a three year old and a one year old (as of next week when its her birthday). I used to hover at 9st7lbs for years before having the kids so its a mixture of baby weight and good living!

Not really following a specific plan but try to stick to the slimming world basics regarding free foods...

Sunshineandlaughter · 26/05/2017 21:44

Amysmummy -you're a similar weight and reason for weight gain as me! I've also a 3yr and a 10 month old. I'm 11 stone 9 and 5 ft 5 down from a postpartum high of 12 stone over winter so a little lost and about 2 stone to go!
I'm really finding exercise works but it's the stress and tiredness eating that gets me - find myself eating all sorts half asleep at 3am!

amysmummy12345 · 27/05/2017 00:23

It's the late night down time that I struggle with. I I'm desperately trying to eat healthier snacks after the kids have gone to sleep... I've tried not eating at all once they've gone down but I can't 😞

HairsprayBabe · 27/05/2017 07:07

Morning slenderistas 10.8 for me today lowest weight since I started, reached it last Friday but then proceeded to eat all the things!
I'm going out tonight with BIL and DP but I will be good! Thinking of 0 cal fast untill we go out, then I won't want a cocktail before dinner either Grin probably

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 27/05/2017 09:27

I'm up 1.5lbs Blush Hoping it's not all crisps weight and that some of it is just because I am on my period. Off to bodypump this morning though!

Well done Hairspray! That is brilliant! Be careful though, I have done a pre-dinner out fast a couple of times, and then ended up completely pissed on one glass of wine Grin

Squiffy I saw some fairly longish (slightly above mid thigh) shorts in Hush which I am tempted by. I know what you mean though, it's hard to find shorts that aren't too short (i.e. bum cheek hanging out) or down to your knees.

BitOutOfPractice · 27/05/2017 09:54

Morning! Just done a very sweaty parkrun. It was very busy. And hot. Did I mention hot?

Hairspray you are crushing it! Well done!

I agree about shorts. Hard to find Ines that flatter. I think the ones down to your knees can be very tricky. I've bought a couple if play suits which seem to have more sensible legs.
