Can't believe how well some of you are doing on the Egg diet, keep at it if it's working Smile

HairsprayBabe · 24/05/2017 08:51

This egg diet has made me find some really weird weight loss ideas, including a "fat fast" nothing but fats and oils for three days apparently most people do it with BPC and cream cheese or "Fat bombs", not appealing at all really!

BitOutOfPractice · 24/05/2017 08:58

Nine of these can possibly be long term though can they? TBH I'd rather be overweight than never eat anything nice or constantly eat the same stuff

None Confused

No they are supposed to be either a little boost at the start to get you into ketosis or to break through a plateau, not a long term eating plan!

BitOutOfPractice · 24/05/2017 09:40

Thank goodness for that Grin

I have actually managed to get below my May start weight. Only by 0.6lb but I'll take that.

Ooooh Stellar well done on the 2 Lindas! Great that you've seen a loss in spite of carbs, that is very encouraging. Goes to show a bit of veg might not affect the losses after all, if I decided to do it again. I think having a predominantly-egg day tomorrow but introducing other low-carb stuff is a great transition out: that's what the blog recommends. That's what I'd have done tomorrow if I didn't have evening plans.

That said, I might not be alive tomorrow Sad I feel so rotten! Bad luck that I got ill on Egg Week, I probably do need vitamins.

BitOutOfPractice · 24/05/2017 11:26

Stellar and KOKO well gone on those losses. I hate the sound of this egg thing but if it's very effective for a whoosh I might be persuaded.

Out of interest, have any of you eggeristas logged your calorie intake on this diet?

BOOP I haven't. I normally do take a calorie approach, but I thought I'd just suck it and see with the eggs and millions of calories worth of butter and coconut oil approach! I do wonder whether it works out all that different from a normal (although not golden) calorie intake.

QuimReaper · 24/05/2017 11:32

As Hairspray says, it's definitely just a three / five-day thing though, to break a plateau. As I haven't managed to lose a smidge since getting back from America and was getting fatigued wiht it all, I wanted to try something to shake it up.

Congrats on the loss BTW! Grin Is that a Lowest Weight Ever?

hello everyone
been off for a couple of days and just catching up

spent a fair bit of time gardening on Monday and spoilt it with drinks and dinner out on Monday night.

Did a 15 mile hike yesterday so felt very virtuous and had a big chicken kebab for dinner, not sure how all this will work when i get on the scales tomorrow but today's food is a cup a soup, pear, apple and plum with some chocolate rice cakes as afternoon snack.
Will no doubt be starving when I get home so careful management required this evening Hmm
Dinner and drinks out tomorrow so its a real up and down week....

Oh and well done to all those on egg diets and the other losers too...Smile

BitOutOfPractice · 24/05/2017 12:18

Not quite Lowest Weight Ever as I've been rather up and down since the end of April Blush

At last! I've found some smoked tofu. In the 8th shop I've tried

I haven't tracked cals as it would make me a bit anxious I think,

1 tbsp fat is approx 100 cals, a large egg is 70 cals approx and 25g of cheese is approx approx 100
So if you are eating 6 eggs all the fat and all the cheese then you would be on approx 1600, so I have limited the cheese because I cannot see me loosing on that!

Having said that I only had 5 eggs yesterday.

QuimReaper · 24/05/2017 12:37

I only had 5 eggs yesterday too and can't see myself managing more today. I like them plain old hard-boiled too so got my fat from BPC. The blog is really strict on not scrimping on eggs or fat but since I don't intend to stay in ketosis at the end of it I have ignored that bit, also because I don't really understand it!

BOOP it's so annoying when these things are so elusive. I've been trying to find tapenade for about a week, there seems to be some kind of national drought Confused

BeyondStrongAndStable · 24/05/2017 12:50

Hi egg-istas!

Just checking in, nothing newsworthy here. Had serious period bloat yesterday, but that seems to have passed today. Out sunning myself and not particularly hungry so just had a banana for my lunch

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 24/05/2017 13:51

I am totally intrigued by the egg-fasters. Is today the last day? Keep it going, eggheads, the Slenderistas need to know the score tomorrow! Did any of you measure waists at the beginning, by any chance?

QuimReaper · 24/05/2017 13:54

It is for me Cheddar as I theoretically have plans tomorrow evening which will involve wine and probably eating out, but I don't know if Stellar is thinking of carrying on. I didn't think to measure my waist, no... I'm cautiously optimistic for tomorrow's weigh-in, but I was last week too and I got a big fat zilch!

HairsprayBabe · 24/05/2017 13:57

It is for me too, I am going round my mothers after work and if I tell her all I am eating is eggs she will think I am a crazy person!
She knows I low carb but this might be a step too far for her!

QuimReaper · 24/05/2017 14:05

Hairspray I'm hiding it too, from everyone except the Slenderistas Grin

Stellar67 · 24/05/2017 15:41

It is really hard to eat loads of eggs!

But, I haven't been hungry at all. My blip last night was down to me being an egg rebel.

I have had two eggs and some roule today. The roule had green in it so I felt healthy.

I might have ham tonight with eggs.

I might do it for the rest of the week, adding in meat and veg/fruit. It's too hard to eat eggs and cheese alone everyday. Also my oldest chook is on her last legs so every time I think about eggs I think about her.

I wish I'd measured myself now. I don't do that. I didn't log cals in fear.

Is anyone's breath bad? I feel like mine is Grin

I did do some more crazy yoga moves today. My body hates me. The sweat was dripping off me.

Well done eggeristas! Quim what one good are we eating next week Grin How are you feeling?

BOOP well done! I don't even know if we get normal tofu here (very rural).

Well done on the hike tv! Enjoy the dinner and drinks.

QuimReaper · 24/05/2017 18:26

Stellar yes I think mine is Blush Hard to say if it's the eggs as I've got a cold but my mouth has felt a bit gross, I keep sucking sugar free polos and brushing my teeth. I saw on a mn thread about egg fasting that excessive sweating was warned, maybe that's why? I've been pretty sweaty too but again, warm weather pretty and ill so I wasn't sure what to put it down to!

lastqueenofscotland · 24/05/2017 20:19

I was so nearly golden until someone bought me a magnum without asking and I didn't feel I could say no
