First day has gone okay here, need to do some more steps - had to go to sleep with a headache earlier so missed out on a chunk of time where I would have done some. I think I might skip my Pilates today, or just do a little, as I don't want to overdo it

FreeNiki · 01/05/2017 20:03

Flying start to day 1 of May. Instructor didnt turn up to teach circuits.

BitOutOfPractice · 01/05/2017 22:28

Oh that's annoying Nikki.

I am home. And as fat as a tunky pig Blush

Thanks for shiny new and aptly-titled thread! I fell off the April one because my father died suddenly Sad

In spite (or because) of that I managed to lose nearly 4 Lindas, which is an improvement on recent months. I also kept logging all my food through a very stressful week - its habit now. To start with stress was making me not eat, but unfortunately that didn't last long Hmm

So I am going to be nice to myself this month and not chastise myself if I eat some cake. But as mine is a loooong game, will try at least to maintain or hopefully lose a little.

Thanks for new thread boop don't fear, I'm sure I beat you on weekend bloatiness, I'm up to 10.13 this am. Eating was fine although I did drink, then travelling home I lost the plot! 1 croissant, 1 pain au raisin, 1/2 à baguette sandwich, 1 burrito then home to a ready meal curry followed by several gaufres.
Was out with dd & dhorse yesterday & succumbed to the bacon roll, not my fault I was bought one. Pork chop & veg last night, giant pile on of approx 4lbs this am. I don't know wether to take this as my start weight of my end of month weight in fri Sad
cheesy well done on your new low, really tough to stay strong when you hit a plateau but it's paid off Smile
twiglet fantastic loss Shock

It was tapas and cava a go go I must admit Blush

HairsprayBabe · 02/05/2017 08:08

11.4 but I was prepared for it because I had a very indulgent weekend,
and it must be impossible to gain 9 actual lbs in 3 days.

Fasting today and hoping for a good month this month to counteract my terrible April!

Why is the last stone the hardest?

Flowers for you Mountain

Archduke · 02/05/2017 08:35

KOKO kiddie food is a temptation to be sure, but think about it - we all hate wasting food but you eating it isn't doing you or anyone any good. As soon as the kids have finished CHUCK IT IN THE BIN. You eating a few sausages/nuggets/chips is helping no one and not good for you.

It is difficult I know, particularly when you're starving but you have to steel yourself. Losing weight is hard. More so with kids in the house but not impossible.

Squiffy01 · 02/05/2017 08:47

Hi all!

May will be my month. Is anyone getting sick of me saying that? Blush
I'm really excited about starting WW I do think the having someone weigh you in is the only thing that seems to make me stick to a diet/healthy eating.
I cooked up 5 meals over the weekend ready for the week so I have NO excuses. Want to get a loss for this week and then that will motivate me for the next.

All you lovely jet setters where can I go on honeymoon in August, have that last week off. We were thinking safari but DH doesn't think a week is long enough so are going to look at other options. Anyone been to Greece? Unfortunately most of the places that are on our want to go list have Zika which we are trying to avoid.

claraschu · 02/05/2017 08:55

Hi everyone. I have never joined one of these threads, because I never feel truly committed to losing weight and getting in better shape. I just feel bad about it and don't do anything Sad.

I made an appointment to have an induction at a gym today, and am hoping that will spur me on to try to do other things to make myself feel better.

Is it ok to join all of you? I am hoping to end May with less of a muffin top and less flabbiness in general, and also to do something about my constant mindless snacking...

I wish I had more of your positive and proactive attitude, so maybe if I hang out with you it will rub off.

claraschu of course you're welcome! You need to set a goal, at least have something concrete in mind, people here follow all different regimes, what are you thinking of doing?

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 02/05/2017 12:21

Welcome to the newbies!

Mountain I am so sorry to hear about your dad Flowers

I had a successful fast day yesterday and I'm trying to stick to around 1500 calories today. I need to get some exercise in but I've been so busy with work recently! I think I might start cycling to work now the weather is warmer (ish).

claraschu · 02/05/2017 13:14

Thank you so much for welcoming me Archduke and Spurioser. I have never had a concrete goal, so that is a good idea; usually I just say to myself that I want to eat better and be more fit, but that is too vague!

I want to cut right down on bread, wine, and snacking between meals. I don't have a scale, so not sure what I weigh and a bit afraid to check. I also want to exercise at least 3 times a week. My goal today is to eat lots of veggies and not drink any alcohol.

How long is your cycle to work Spurioser?

HairsprayBabe · 02/05/2017 13:20

Welcome clara

Do you have a tape measure could you go on inches lost rather than lbs?

If not my scale was less than a £10 from wilkos.

I am starving today, that is what I get for gorging solidly for 3 days!

claraschu · 02/05/2017 13:25

Good idea about the tape measure, and I didn't realise scales could be that cheap. Thanks!

Squiffy01 · 02/05/2017 14:21

koko it's the kids food that's gets me too! I'm so hungry by the time I get their lunch prepared that I eat a few bits when I'm getting it ready then Hoover up the rest when they don't finish. But this does quite fill me up so I still sit down to my lunch when I put them to bed.
I tried making things I didn't like which worked for awhile but then there was always at least one thing on the plate I would go for Blush

FreeNiki · 02/05/2017 14:21

Ladies we have a whoosh!

went from 67kg to 66kg.

I started in mid January at 72kg and am now 6 kg lighter.

In stone that 11.4 ti 10.5

Only thing concerned about is body trax says body fat increased so may have burned muscle.

BitOutOfPractice · 02/05/2017 14:23

Hello Clara. Nice to see you. This thread will definitely help keep you on track

KOKO I think it's soooo difficult to lose weight with young kids around. All the food. All the stress. And the tiredness. Tiredness is a major food trigger for me.
