4 stones losers - anyone with me?

AteRiri · 14/03/2017 20:51

I'm 5'8" (well a quarter short - 5'7 3/4) and currently 192 pounds. Two years ago, I was 167. I feel so fat.

Anyone with me? I hope to be at least 2 stones less by July (my birthday).

Thanks Denman03. Trying to be patient!

Hope you're doing better :)

DENMAN03 · 17/04/2017 17:34

Well I must be the only person over Easter to have actually lost weight! Now down to 186 lbs. Only 1 lb to go to get into the overweight BMI category!!

AteRiri · 20/04/2017 08:48

Hi everyone!!!

Well done Denman! Happy for you

How is everyone getting on? I had a bad couple of days this week when I stayed away at a lovely hotel so I am happy that I have stayed the same this week. I have one dinner party planned for Saturday (and am going to regret doing quail for starter by the time I have de-boned 10 of the blighters!) but apart from that am going to be angelic all week. Will hope for a 2lb loss but will be happy with one!

DENMAN03 · 26/04/2017 18:11

Well I had a sneaky weigh in before Friday and I'm down another lb!! Whoop, I'm now officially in the 'overweight ' category of BMI, down from morbidly obese!

honeyroar · 26/04/2017 21:44

Hello everyone. Please could I join your group? I've been doing no sugar and no processed food (as much as possible, I travel for work so it's not always possible). I started mid Jan, and have lost 1 stone 4lbs so far, giving me 2 stone 10lbs to go (still loads but sounds better than 4 stones!). It's been a slow but constant loss, usually 1lb a week, but I'm finding it fairly easy. I'm keeping a food diary, but other than that not counting anything. I eat carbs, tons of fruit and have gone back to full fat dairy and butter. I don't eat meat, occasionally I eat fish. I've been active on the No Sugar board, but it's gone quite quiet lately and I feel like I'm talking to myself! I just want some people to talk to who will be in it for a while, because I will! I've not really got a set goal, I'm just plodding along and feeling happy at the weight loss graph going down.

DENMAN03 · 26/04/2017 21:52

Hi honey, it's fairly quiet here too but you are very welcome! Well done on the weight loss so far, it's a great achievement. I try and log in here most days even if it means talking to myself but I like to see the progress I have made whilst being on the thread.

honeyroar · 26/04/2017 21:56

You sound like you've been doing superbly well.

It's a nice feeling, being proud of what you've achieved, rather than being mad at yourself for feeling frumpy and not doing anything about it.

DENMAN03 · 26/04/2017 22:12

Well keep posting and keep going! I keep thinking how quickly a year goes so I'm doing this for a year at least. It's hard losing weight but it's just has hard being fat I've decided.

DENMAN03 · 29/04/2017 14:34

I'm down to 183 this morning, from my start weight of 231! Very happy with that. Tonight it may go a bit wrong however as doing a dinner party for my friends. Will try not to drink my own body weight in wine!

honeyroar · 30/04/2017 19:39

Really well done!

I was down another lb this week. Funnily enough I too had a party for a friend yesterday and drunk rather a lot!

I go on a girl's weekend in a fortnight. I'd like to have lost 3lbs by then so I'm at a stone and a half loss.

DENMAN03 · 02/05/2017 21:54

That's very doable so im sure you will look fab for your girls weekend. Despite my very bad Saturday night things have gone well since then. If I didn't have a social life I would be slim, but also very bored! I find it very easy to be good on days I have nothing planned. I try and do a couple of very low calorie days on Monday and Tuesday and that seems to undo any damage from the weekend and kick start the rest of the week.
My aim this week is to get into the 12's.

honeyroar · 03/05/2017 20:45

That's great, how much have you lost so far?

I think it's going to be another lb this week, leaving two for next week. I might not quite make it for the weekend away, but it will be very nearly. I bought some clothes for the trip today and have gone down a size, so that's encouraging.

DENMAN03 · 03/05/2017 22:38

I've lost 48lbs so far. Hoping for another lb this week! Well done on the lb and new dress size. I'm 20 weeks in now and still plodding on.

honeyroar · 05/05/2017 10:55

Wow, that really is good work!

The lost lb that was showing on Weds has disappeared today on my weigh day! But I'm due on and had an Indian on Weds night, so hopefully just water retention. I walked 10 miles round Badminton horse trials yesterday and only had a sandwich, baked potato and loads of fruit, generally I've had a good week (apart from e Indian, but I've had plenty of those during this weight loss - anything g goes once in a while if you've been sensible overall, it seems).

DENMAN03 · 05/05/2017 18:45

Well done! All that walking will have worked off a lb. Lucky you going to Badders, I used to go every year but now tend to go to Chatsworth a week later and just watch it on tv. I was lucky enough to have a horse competing there in 2015 and got to go in the house for the riders cocktail party. It's stunning although I wouldn't want to have to clean it!

Weighed in today and have hit the 50lb lost barrier! Feeling chuffed with that and my size 14 jeans and top are now falling off me! Never thought I would be typing that in a million years.

Out for a Thai tonight so won't go mad. Back on it after and aiming for another lb this week.

honeyroar · 05/05/2017 20:36

Ooh how wonderful having had a good event horse and doing the rider party etc. I always say I'd like to do that one day, I don't compete myself anymore and my horses are getting older. I only went yesterday, I usually go Saturday, but can't this year as am working early Sunday. I usually do Chatsworth if I'm off, but I've got that girl's trip next weekend - that's horsey too, it's to Royal Windsor Horse Show.

Have a lovely meal.. You should be very proud.

AteRiri · 05/05/2017 21:57

So weird - I didn't get a new post notification the past few days.

OP posts:
AteRiri · 05/05/2017 22:02

I wasn't doing well - almost went up to 200!

Thankfully I have woken up from the trainwreck eating period and now going down again. Can't wait to be in the 160s and wear my leather jackets again.

OP posts:
AteRiri · 05/05/2017 22:03

Goal is still 145. But my leather jackets fit me at 160s. :P Goodluck to me!

Oh dear, I seem to have gone astray a little this week. Been good up till yesterday but then joined my sister for a walk whilst she and her husband played golf. It was late when we finished so went in the club house and was starving so ended up sharing chips and I had a gin and slimline! Been good today with boiled eggs for breakfast and sushi for lunch but it's a glorious evening and two glasses of wine have been consumed!! Eek. Weigh in tomorrow so I reckon I would have stayed the same. This weekend won't be great as off to Chatsworth horse trials and I tend to eat and drink what I like whilst away otherwise I could never have stuck to it for 5 months! Then next week, two nights out.. oh dear
