4 stones losers - anyone with me?

AteRiri · 14/03/2017 20:51

I'm 5'8" (well a quarter short - 5'7 3/4) and currently 192 pounds. Two years ago, I was 167. I feel so fat.

Anyone with me? I hope to be at least 2 stones less by July (my birthday).

Ooh I think I need a nutrbullet!

My new comfort food is potato salad chocked with apples, grapes, onion and egg and fat free cottage cheese.

Tottyandmarchpane1 · 22/03/2017 21:46

I work from home too and then I travel when not at home. Combination of the two (coupled with my dreadful willpower, stressful job and 3 children so tired) has been disastrous. I am finding that logging everything on MFP helps massively. I am kittyk112 on there if anyone wants to link up - I find the notion of being visible to others in terms of what I eat does work for me.
During the day I find herbal tea helps if I want to snack. I think I just get bored and need something to do.

Tottyandmarchpane1 · 22/03/2017 21:46

Also throwing the kids leftovers away immediately rather than eating them. I am a terrible snacker.

dontpokethebear · 22/03/2017 22:00

I also find I can say no to shop bought cakes and biscuits, but if it's home made, it's like I go into some sort of trance. I wake up on the other side covered in crumbs licking my fingers....

LoveDeathPrizes · 23/03/2017 00:04

Me too don'tpoke It's like it doesn't count if you made it yourself!

dontpokethebear · 23/03/2017 07:04

Exactly. Even worse if someone else made it Grin

Pradaqueen · 23/03/2017 08:30

Waiting in the car outside the Tennis club...In my car is a Fry's chocolate cream I bought earlier for my Dad as it's his fave and they are hard to find... It's all I can do not to rip it open and devour it all. Grin these moments too are 'free' calories!

Pradaqueen · 23/03/2017 14:15

Well I didn't eat the chocolate cream. Having pret 'no cream' cream of chicken soup. Delicious and 140 calories for the pot! Plus 90 mins tennis. Feeling good.

dontpokethebear · 23/03/2017 15:59

Had the recommended serving of muesli for breakfast, which turns out to be about an egg cup full.
Lunch was homemade mixed veg soup (carrot, kale, sweet potato, onion and garlic I think. It came out of the freezer).
Just had a rich tea as felt a sugar crash coming on.

Dinner is going to be chilli with loads of extra veg and lentils in.

dontpokethebear · 23/03/2017 16:00

Well done on not eating the chocolate creme! I would have found that very hard!

I'm amazed at the food I've turned down this week!

Pradaqueen · 23/03/2017 17:49

Well done don't poke Grin go having a nice rib eye for dinner plus roasted cauliflower with harrissa ('tis yum and not soggy!) plus sugar snap peas. I have 1632 caps to spend on dinner according to MFP, but saving any extra's for a glass of fizz (or 4) on Mother's Day....

Tennis tomorrow and I think I might sneak back to pret for another delicious soup!

dontpokethebear · 23/03/2017 18:15

Ooh I do love a ribeye. I might request that as my Mother's Day meal.

Wandastartup · 23/03/2017 18:20

Me too please! Weighed in at 14st 4lb in August. Got back to 12st in October after 8 week blood sugar diet. Back up to 13st 4lb by February. Now 13st but at 5ft 4 aiming for 10st. Just need to stick to low carbing, low calorie properly for 8 weeks then go for low carb weeks and ok weekends to maintain..,

AteRiri · 23/03/2017 20:28

Hello everyone!

I'm eating well, except for peaches! Aaaargh, it's my downfall!

Yesterday, I had three.

OP posts:
Pradaqueen · 23/03/2017 21:15

Better three peaches than three mars bars though Wink have you thought about what causes your fruit craving? Are you eating a low carb diet?

AteRiri · 23/03/2017 21:18

Pradaqueen

Yes, I'm doing low carb. Plus peaches.

I don't know, I don't eat fruit, but when it's peach season....aaaargh!

Good thing the season might be ending soon here in Aus.

Pradaqueen · 23/03/2017 21:20

Ah right. For two weeks m, as hard as it is you need to wean yourself off fruit then slowly reintroduce. You possibly need to eat more protein to satiate your appetite?

AteRiri · 23/03/2017 21:25

Pradaqueen,

I probably need to eat really cleanly. I'm doing fairly low carb - have been for years - but in my case, calories matter for me. I am envious of others who eat low carb and lose weight.

How are you doing?

OP posts:
Pradaqueen · 23/03/2017 21:29

Losing weight slooooooooowly. Probably lost 8lbs now over a month. Ideally I'd lose 8lb a week Grin I find it hard not to just give up but last time I made a concerted effort I lost 4 stones. I am going to stick to it this time!

AteRiri · 23/03/2017 21:31

Pradaqueen

Slow weight loss is better than slow weight gain - I was 167 pounds two years ago! :(

Also I've lost really fast too but that just leads to binges for me. Then I start over and the cycle never ends. So well done!

OP posts:
AteRiri · 24/03/2017 09:58

Ok, I ate too many peaches again.

And chocolates.

Aaaargh.

Starting over tomorrow.

Pradaqueen · 24/03/2017 12:51

Be kind to yourself ateriri!

I am having pret coconut chicken soup for lunch and I had a slim fast for breakfast. Have also played 90mins tennis today. Feeling positive and not hungry Grin

DENMAN03 · 24/03/2017 17:47

Weighed in today. Had a good week since Sunday and am two pounds down! Very happy with that. Only two more to go to the 3 stone lost mark!! Let's hope I don't fall off the wagon too much this weekend. I'm going for a pub lunch on Saturday but will drive so I'm not tempted, and have already decided I will have fish cakes and salad (rather than the steak and chips I really want!) Sunday will be harder as cooking Thai curry for my family for Mothers Day but will have a small portion.

genghiscat · 24/03/2017 22:16

Can I please join? 5'7" and currently 13.5 stone and size 16. Aiming to get back into my size 12 jeans. Don't do diets (makes me think about food too much) so am focusing on the exercise. Can't get out much because of kids so my aim is to burn 100000 calories on my exercise bike before the summer holidays! This amounts to about 750 a day.. My current total is 13000

Ojoj1974 · 24/03/2017 22:48

Day 2 done and feeling rather chuffed with myself until DS came home from school and had a melt down about boys at school teasing him and being mean... so I did what any sensible mother would do.. hit the bottle...
3 glasses of wine and 687 calories later I've screwed MFP allowance .......
