4 stones losers - anyone with me?

AteRiri · 14/03/2017 20:51

I'm 5'8" (well a quarter short - 5'7 3/4) and currently 192 pounds. Two years ago, I was 167. I feel so fat.

Anyone with me? I hope to be at least 2 stones less by July (my birthday).

I'm low carbing too, I actually really enjoy eating low carb- had chorizo and mushroom omelette for breakfast and A humungous salad with chicken and feta for lunch, am stuffed!

Tottyandmarchpane1 · 21/03/2017 15:44

Chorizo and mushroom omelette sounds lush! Dim question but do you literally whisk eggs, chuck in chorizo and mushroom and cook in a bit of oil?

Notsandwiches · 21/03/2017 15:57

May I join too? I'm 5'8" and 15 stone. Two years ago I was 13 stone and just feel like a pudding.

When I lost weight previously I low catbed, so I'm going to try that. However I'm now peri-menopausal so don't know if it will work the same. I'm going to give it a fortnight and if I haven't had much success I may try the blood sugar diet.

Glitterkitten24 · 21/03/2017 19:57

Totty I heat oil in pan, fry chorizo and a little bit of onion just for a minute, then add mushrooms for another minute, then add beaten eggs. My favourite ever thing about low carbing is the chorizo! 😂

DENMAN03 · 21/03/2017 19:59

Well I seem to have lost the weight I piled on from Saturday! Must not do that again for a bit...that's what got me in this mess to start with.

Another good day:
B: 2 boiled eggs
L: three bean salad and half a chicken sandwich (another working lunch and they kept calling damn it!)
D: Jane plan lentil cottage pie and lots of veg. Very tasty!

Xmasfairy86 · 21/03/2017 20:06

Oh god I'm in!

Hi!

Currently shockingly 202lbs at 5'5. Wanna be 168 as an interim goal. Haven't been under 14st in yeeeeears! So that would be nice first!

Tottyandmarchpane1 · 21/03/2017 21:04

Rubbish day nutrient wise, not bad calorie wise. Have pulled my back and can only crawl about (annoy very nice insight to the future if I don't lose this weight).

B: nothing

L: 2 mini hot cross buns with lurpack and left over chips from kids

D: sweet potato cottage pie with carrots and peas and Muller corner

Tottyandmarchpane1 · 21/03/2017 21:04

Thanks glitter - will try that. I love chorizo

Glitterkitten24 · 21/03/2017 21:28

My 'bride' wants to go stay looking for bridesmaid dresses- this shit just got serious! 🙈 I cannot face bridesmaid shopping at this size!

AteRiri · 22/03/2017 05:09

I think I'm eating a lot of meat. Probably should cut down.

It's my weigh in day. Up 2lb! But after a food and drink filled weekend I'll take that!

B - oats, yogurt, frozen pineapple, mango and kiwi.

Other meals - TBC

HAPPY HUMP DAY!!

AteRiri · 22/03/2017 08:41

B: Bacon and omelette
L: Roast lamb and broccoli
D: Roast beef, tuna, and lettuce with garlic cream sauce (Roast beef and tuna not mixed :D))

Had prob 5 cups of coffee with milk - definitely my downfall
3 peaches
a bit of double-coat Timtams

Well I'm down two pounds since last week. Wednesday is my weigh in day. Dud have a massive blow out as staying with friends so huge amount of wine for lunch and dinner Saturday, bacon sarnies for sun breakfast, pasta tea and most of a bottle of red. That considering, I'm happy. I am doing slim fast plus low carb dinner. Snacking on raspberries (38cals) or Davina's powerballs and logging everything into MFP. My top tip is Davina's powerballs to stop a chocolate craving plus I'm having the ready made chunky chocolate shakes twice a day. My downfall is portion size plus wine/champagne. I've also upped my exercise rate. Did an 8km walk with a friend yesterday and playing tennis for an hour twice a week. Going on hols next month and definitely not the size I want to be...Sad good luck to everyone on this thread!

AteRiri · 22/03/2017 21:08

Well done, Pradaqueen!

Hi, I would love to join too please. I'm 5ft7 and 185lbs. I would like to lose 3 stone.

In 2015 I lost 3stone by quitting sugar. I looked and felt fabulous but sadly I've put most of it back on....

I'm suffering with back and shoulder pains at the moment from being over weight and unfit so this is just the motivation I need!!

user1471583707 · 22/03/2017 21:27

I'm in! I'm 5ft 7 -and was 190 pounds.... I have lost a stone So I'm now 176 but still a way to go! My next goal is 164 pounds by May 6th which sees ambitious!
Trying to set goals in stone chunks as it doesn't feel as hard then but I am really struggling this week and not lost anything.

AteRiri · 22/03/2017 21:28

WelcomeOjoj1974! We're almost at the same level - I'm just heavier. It's great to have you on board in this journey!

Helloooooooooooo!

I'm 5'7" and 14.5 stone. I can't bring myself to say how much that is in pounds, or I'll cry.

I lost at least 2 stone in each of my 3 pregnancies thanks to GD/insulin. I looked amazing post birth, if I may say so myself.
Then I ate myself back up to 14.5, because I have no off switch. On the plus side, I don't seem to ever go much over 14.5.

Today I have had

Small bowl of mini shredded wheat with skimmed milk.

Lentil and chickpea curry with avocado and salad.

Small jacket potato with, small mackerel fillet and salad.

4 cups of tea.

A bag of Aldi pea snacks, it was either that or the big bag of skittles.

AteRiri · 22/03/2017 21:30

Welcome user147583707! I'd love to be 176 like you right now! My goal is 160 by July, 170 by end of May.

I think this is more fun to do with everyone, than alone! :)

For breakfast I had 2 egg omelette, 2 slices bacon, and a quarter peach. Coffee with maybe 1/4 cup milk.

dontpokethebear - welcome!!! I've been way over 14 stone 5 in the past and I didn't like the feeling. I think my heaviest was 16 stones 5 six years ago. I vow never to go back again.

Hello! I'm 5' 9" and my ideal weight is 11 stone 10ib. I'm a 14 at that size and feel comfortable and happy.

Currently 16 stone 2 though after DD2 so have a way to go. My heaviest was 17 stone 7 though so headed in the right direction.

Ojoj1974 · 22/03/2017 21:35

Any top tips anyone wants to share? I now work from home and am eating much more and not exercising. Sadly I hint really enjoy exercise...
How many valorise are you trying to stick to?

Mine from 2015 were-

  1. MFP worked well to keep me on top of my calories.
  2. Nakd bars mid afternoon -cocoa and orange is my favourite
  3. Drinking lots of water
  4. Nutribullet for breakfast and lunch twice a week followed by a sensible evening meal helped me shift the last few pounds
dontpokethebear · 22/03/2017 21:39

Every year I say that I'm not going to be fat and sweaty in the summer. Cue many, many hot, fat and sweaty summers.
No one to blame but myself and my love affair with food.

LoveDeathPrizes · 22/03/2017 21:40

I normally hate the gym but as it's my only real out from the house I'm quite enjoying it this time around.

Adapting slimming world recipes and having Saturdays off. Kind of still feeling for the right balance as I'm still breastfeeding.

dontpokethebear · 22/03/2017 21:42

I love my nutribullet! I fry off garlic and onion and blitz with raw veg, then heat up on the hob for instant soup.
I put a small amount of oats in smoothies (with almond milk), seems to keep me fuller for longer.
