Someone needs to put a lock on the office biscuits for my sake Angry

Need to get my head back in the game!!

ponygirlcurtis · 23/02/2017 15:25

No snow here either thankfully. Blinking cold though. Be impressed with you dedication Arsey, even if you were partially thwarted - you gave it a good go.

Brilliant news Chard and Niki!

Stellar I have a ready stock of lines as they are needed frequently. I read something really interesting yesterday about the very non-linear nature of weight loss. Let me see if I can find it.

willhazboz · 23/02/2017 15:42

Glad you are seeing results niki! Happy birthday hairspray! 🎂
The kids sandpit is a goner. Conservatory is also sounding dodgy. But it's calmed down a bit now thankfully!

willhazboz · 23/02/2017 15:44

Oh and tea tonight is halloumi and veg with pitta bread (no bread for me!)
Hope the cow isn't dead!

ponygirlcurtis · 23/02/2017 15:59

Poor wee coo, hope it's just, er, having a lie down. Confused

I couldn't find the article I read yesterday but this one is a similar idea - about plateaus, and the non-linear nature of our losses. [http://rebootedbody.com/weight-loss-crisis/]

Stellar67 · 23/02/2017 16:11

Thanks pony. That is interesting and I was thinking, oh that's me, that's me...oh Confused

My yoga teacher gave some good tips about pretending you are on a trapeze and in order to get to the next trapeze you have to let go of the negative. She also talked about letting go of body image/ego etc when we were doing shoulder stands, but all I could feel was that I could almost breastfeed myself.

lastqueenofscotland · 23/02/2017 16:16

Going to brave a run tonight... Heaven help me.
I might blow away...

ponygirlcurtis · 23/02/2017 16:25

all I could feel was that I could almost breastfeed myself... Grin That would be me too!

Stay safe queen.

QuimReaper · 23/02/2017 16:27

HAPPY BIIIIRHTDAAAAAY Hairspray, and WOWEE Niki and Chard!

Bloody brave job on the run Arsey - did you start a separate thread about the cow, I'm sure I saw one trending earlier? Hope there isn't an epidemic sweeping the country?!

I am bloody starving. And I have nothing exciting lined up to eat.

Harumph.

Naughtysausage · 23/02/2017 16:48

Stellar actually snorted on the train. Thank you for that.

Happy birthday hairspray hope you get lovely presents. I'm always more interested in other people's, proper nosey.

Still plateauing but have just read that article and I'm not worried by it. I'm just gently rubbing my hands together and muttering about summer dresses soon...

ArseyTussle · 23/02/2017 17:01

I did start a thread about the cow, I think on balance it's unlikely to have been dead.

NSV!!!!! Put on a pair of trousers that used to have a really tight waistband, and they're totally wearable!

FreeNiki · 23/02/2017 18:18

Ooh that halluomi pitta sounds awesome.

Cant spell it though. Grin

Is the cow actually dead? Sad 🐄

ArseyTussle · 23/02/2017 18:25

That's an interesting philosophical question, Niki. It's not there any more, but does that mean it's alive, or dead? Grin

ponygirlcurtis · 23/02/2017 18:44

Schrodinger's cow Grin

FreeNiki · 23/02/2017 18:57

I love it......cow is undead. But not dead dead. 🐄

QuimReaper · 23/02/2017 19:18

Cor blimey, just got in from my 11K steps, I almost took flight at one point! Seems to be dying down where I am though.

I'm sooooo huuuuungry. I thought avocado was supposed to be Good Fat and therefore fabulously filling? It doesn't fill me up at all for all the calories! Sad

Squiffy01 · 23/02/2017 19:21

hairspray happy happy birthday! I hope you have had a great day.

Well done Niki I'm jealous I used to have your dedication to the gym but now I barley have the motivation to set foot in the place

I am so tired. Will be a shit food night tonight as I've been on the bus for nearly 20 minutes and only gone two stops Sad I am soo hungry I wonder if delivrroo make deliveries to buses.

Stellar67 · 23/02/2017 22:57

Quim I had an avocado today and I felt the same. Unfulfilled.

Laughing at the undead dead cow.

Squiffy01 · 24/02/2017 06:13

I've put on 3.7lbs this week. Sad why in the world am I bothering. I know it was a bit of shit week but how is that even possible. I just want to cry.

HairsprayBabe · 24/02/2017 06:46

Morning all jetting off at midday today, just weighed in at 11.7 Shock v surprised as I had 2 slices of cake and everything yestersday!

Now I feel horrible guilt about all the food I haven't eaten yet in Switzerland!

-3 lindas for the month now, hopefully I don't ruin it totally in the next few days!

ponygirlcurtis · 24/02/2017 07:24

Have a lovely time Hairspray - enjoy the food without too much guilt, if you do put on so be it, you know you can shift it again.

lastqueenofscotland · 24/02/2017 07:31

Hairspray have fun on holiday, remember you've come along way and can't put it all back on in a few days of indulgence.

Another Linda gone this morning so I'm one away from the half stone for the month and so nearly where I want to be at 9st. Please can I stay with you guys when I've finished?! This is my favourite thread in MN!

BitOutOfPractice · 24/02/2017 07:40

Oh no squiffy Sad that's dispiriting. Can you draw a line on it and move on? I reckon it can be quick on quick off sometimes.

Hairspray have a fab time and enjoy the food and drink and you can be back on it asap when ou get back

Well done lasty Star Of course you can stay! We are all family here

Naughtysausage · 24/02/2017 08:26

Squiffy similar happened to me - it was just a blip and disappeared! Don't dwell on it just keep going!

Hairspray have a fab holiday. Not jealous at all.

And last yes! Stay for motivation! Can't believe you're nearly there! How much is that off in total?

QuimReaper · 24/02/2017 08:26

Hairspray have an absolutely terrific time and for heaven's sake relax and blow the calories, it's your birthday trip to Geneva! And keep us... posted... won't you...? Wink💍👀🍾

Squiff I am so sorry about your gain, how bitterly disappointing for you. Any possible contributing factors? AF? Tiny bit bunged up? Had a boozey or salty day this week? In any case as BOOP says it's easy come easy go - it's surely not physically possible to gain over 3lbs of fat in a week, especially one that was just "a bit shit" and not one involving a bottle of wine and a cheeseboard for every meal! (I am pretty sure I did gain almost 4lbs of fat the week I did that in France a couple of years ago. I'd never thought to check the calories in saucisson Blush)
