2 off so now 10st 10.

readyforsunshine · 21/11/2016 07:28

wench I remember this from stopping smoking, the thing is to not give up giving up! It makes sense, if you do t keep at it you have no chance. You are making changes, less milk & sugar in porridge, exercise, thinking about reducing snacks etc. Keep at it & all these things will make a difference, if you give up you won't! If nothing else I tell myself I'm standing still not getting heavier.
Again, snacks, protein is your friend. You need to stop thinking about snacks as treats & as necessary fuel because you're hungry. Have a hard egg, a tin of tuna or a bowl of plain natural yoghurt, you won't feel the need to overdo it or that you've somehow cheated.
firefly you're going so well, you've spurred me on after a bad week (again) unwell then super busy & disorganised due to being unwell, then socialising at w/e so eating & dinking. I moderated as much as poss but for me to actually lose I need to be really strict or I'll just stand still. Weigh in tomo & not getting my hopes up but 5 weeks left it's possible to get under 10st & back in my clothes.
Well done to other losers & keep the faith to those treading water (smile)

SmellTheGlove · 21/11/2016 08:06

Is it cheating to change my official weigh in day??!! I was another pound down until this morning, then after a big night out on Saturday and a day spent mostly on the sofa yesterday eating Percy Pigs, I'm up a pound. so today 12st 2lb, starting weight was 12st 4lb. But I'm not counting it because all last week I was 12st.1lb! hopefully a long walk today and a poo will sort it out (sorry to keep adding my bowels to the thread, so to speak)

Lokisglowstickofdestiny · 21/11/2016 08:16

Therestime, I'm doing 5:2. I chose 2 days of week when I am at work so I'm busy. I eat my dinner as usual the night before then don't eat breakfast or lunch, so effectively 24 hours of no food. I drink black coffee, water during the period. My dinner is then 500 calories, which is a reasonable amount. Theres a long running thread on here about it. Some people split their calories so don't have breakfast but have a small lunch then dinner. That way you get a 16 - 18 hour or so fast period, dinner the day before until lunch. Haven't found it that difficult. I then eat "normally" the other days but I am reasonably careful. I have my Fitbit set to guide me to a 1kg loss per week which involves me eating 500 calories per day less than I need. It calculates my TDEE then constantly adds any calories from additional movement. For example I have a TDEE of 1400, my exercise and other activities give me and additional 700 so I can eat around 1600 for the day.

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 21/11/2016 09:32

Millie 5k on the exercise bike in 11 minutes is amazingly fast!! Puts my 18minutes to shame. Really well done to you for that ... have a gold star StarGrin

I did my 5k on the bike at 0645 this morning! I must've been having a moment of madness but I was up and thought I might as well get it over with rather than sitting around mnetting. Again took me around 18mins. I have to stop for a half minute breather every so often so I'm guessing you are doing it without a break to be completing it in 11 minutes!

I had tea, yogurt drink and a banana after exercise, managed to wait until after the school run for my proper breakfast so have just had 2 hard boiled eggs with some cherry tomatoes and mushrooms. Dinner tonight will be Sausages, veg and mash - I've already input all that into MFP which tells me I have just over 500 calories to play with for lunch. Not sure what that will be as I'm meeting a friend and we eating at a cafe but I'll try to be good!

Afo · 21/11/2016 09:46

Hi everyone back to the thread! been awol from a few weeks but have been reading and trying hArd with the dieting, exercise has went to pot but am going to try and pick that up again this week! Weigh in this morning has left me at just 2lb down overall. Losing so slowly. ...

AdoraBell · 21/11/2016 10:07

65.1 kilos today Hmm

Porridge for breakfast, black coffee.
Haven't planned lunch yet but I want a fry up.

Dinner yesterday was wedges, 2 sausages and broccoli. Then stewed apple and plums with custard, semi skimmed milk used for the custard. Oh, also had 2 mince pies in the evening Hmm

MillieMoodle · 21/11/2016 11:06

Well done wench! I will be doing my 5k later when DS1 is in bed. Yes I have done it without stopping; if I stop then I'll never get started again!

Have only just had breakfast - cornflakes and tea - as have been out and about this morning, although I did have my actimel first thing.

Lunch will be tomato soup. Not sure about dinner yet - shopping is being delivered this afternoon so it will be whatever meat has the shortest date left on it!

Was 11st 9lbs this morning so lost another pound, hoping I can keep it off for next week's weigh in!

SuperFlyHigh · 21/11/2016 11:43

Ok yesterday had mince pie, minestrone soup with pasta and Parmesan for lunch plus 1 slice Vogel soya and linseed toast with pro active. Dinner was roast chicken with roast potatoes carrots and broccoli and gravy plus orange for dessert. Had 1 Lindtor Orange chic ball and 5 cups tea skim milk 2 glasses water, 1 camomile tea. only Walking was to shops from. Car and back., oh and demolished tub of salted Pringles! Plus 2 marmite cheese circles.

This morning Vogel toast with marmite and marmite cheese circle, 2 cups tea skim milk.

Just weighed myself and had a revelation tried weighing on my kitchen floor which a flatter surface than the carpeted floor, discovered I am just over (1 notch) 10 and a half stone and upstairs I was 10 and three quarter stone I think... But I've lost weight and now the scales are staying downstairs! Very pleased.

Scarzo · 21/11/2016 12:00

Firefly I'm very impressed that you put all those stats together - thanks for taking the time Smile.

Had a lot to say today, but it's been a manic day and I need my bed!

I've had a good catch up on all your progress though - keep at it everyone.

So weigh in today: 66.4kg - a whole kilo! Yay Grin

Minimammoth · 21/11/2016 19:09

I did drop to 11-2 and now back up at 11-4. Am clearly not going to lose a stone by Christmas faffinf about like this. I will probably chuck myself of the thread.

readyforsunshine · 21/11/2016 19:47

Yay scarzo Grin keep up the good work & send me a kick up the bum!

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 21/11/2016 21:19

Woohoo! 4 days in a row under my calorie allowance Smile Feeling hoping I've finally turned a corner with this and can actually make some progress. How's your day been Millie? Think it will be a while before I can match your 5k in 11minutes on the bike!

SuperFlyHigh · 21/11/2016 22:41

So far today I had quiche and toast and salad (beetroot, tomatoes, radish Lettuce etc) a lindtor orange ball and rich tea light biscuit. For a snack had 3 ryvita with cottage cheese and chives and marmite cheese circle. About 4 more cups of tea skim milk, 1 camomile, orange and 2 glasses water large. Walked for half an hour round park.

SuperFlyHigh · 21/11/2016 22:43

Tomorrow I'm meeting my mum going shopping that should be 30 mins at least walking and also buying running trainers for 5k so will have to work out what to do. What else do I need when running besides trainers, tracksuit etc? And how many Laps of an almost 1 mile park to start off with please?

Lokisglowstickofdestiny · 21/11/2016 23:58

Super I use a armband phone holder to play music and small water bottle that fits in your hand.

TheresAlwaysTimeForTea · 22/11/2016 05:53

So I'm trying my first fast day today. It's almost 10am where I am and I am starving already! I have made a little quorn ragu for lunch which I'm going to eat at 1pm (slowly!!) then I'll have another tiny meal at 8pm this eve and then eat normally tomorrow. Going to fast today and Thursday and see if that shakes things up a bit. Confession: I ate a family size bag of doritos last night by myself. First junk in three weeks and they tasted DELICIOUS

FleshEmoji · 22/11/2016 06:15

There - I've segued Cambridge into 3 - 4 fast days a week, and the other days being low carb apart from Cava. I'm 5' 2" and my metabolism is more suited for a cave woman battling ice ages and famine than one with easy access to Ocado, so I'm only losing 1lb a week on this regime.

My stats - start 12th Sep, 10st 8lb, fat percentage 39.7%
Today - 8st 11lb, 30.1%
Goal - 8st 7lb unless I'm motivated to lower my fat percentage a bit more.

I carry my weight on my middle, and the blood sugar diet book which I've just read is making me wonder if being leaner would be better for my general health. I bet I'm oozing with visceral fat.

FleshEmoji · 22/11/2016 06:17

Oh, plans for today.

Breakfast - 2 coffees with milk.
Lunch - massive prawn salad (200 cals)
Dinner - Cambridge rice meal with extra protein and veg (300)

Lokisglowstickofdestiny · 22/11/2016 07:39

There, good luck, I'm fasting today as well. Shall eat around 6pm but not sure what to have yet. My only tips for hunger are - drink and keep busy.

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 22/11/2016 08:14

5k on my exercise bike done this morning. I seem to be getting slightly slower, not quicker though! Confused maybe because my legs are still aching from the previous day. Millie I am in awe that you can do 5k in 11minutes. I made myself do 11minutes without stopping today to see how far I got and only reached 3k. You must be pedalling so fast and are obviously much fitter than me!

Breakfast was tea and porridge with banana. Dinner tonight is chicken and salad wraps. Not sure what lunch will be yet.

Good luck everyone ! Keep at it !

Afo · 22/11/2016 08:18

flesh that's an amazing loss well done! Well I've dropped another pound today. IT'S an unofficial weigh in but it does mean I'm a down a stone since August. 14lb in 14 weeks. Slow but steady, at this rate ill never have a stone off for Christmas, 3 off since the beginning of the thread.

MillieMoodle · 22/11/2016 09:43

Wench well done for doing 3 days in a row on the exercise bike. I messed up and didn't do it yesterday Blush but I will today - I'll try to do 6k every day for the rest of the week to make up for the 5k I didn't do yesterday. I just didn't seem to have time which is ridiculous as it doesn't take too long. I feel very guilty though Sad I won't miss a day again, promise!

Breakfast yesterday was cornflakes, tea and actimel. Lunch was tomato soup and one slice of wholemeal toast. Dinner was a cheese and mushroom burger and chips, following by some marshmallows Blush (we went out for dinner). 2 lebkuchen as a snack and I think dinner/dessert was pretty heavy on the calories.

Today breakfast was cornflakes, actimel, tea. Lunch will be vegetable soup and one slice of wholemeal toast. Dinner will be chicken stir fry. Am still at 11st 9lbs.

Ice3 · 22/11/2016 10:22

Well done flesh

My batteries arrived yesterday so I can finally weigh in. Two days late but I'm 163.8.

I haven't been able to keep up with c25k which is really annoying me. I am so achey from decorating and gardening my legs don't feel up to it at all.

I'm planning on the biggest carbfest today. I have fruit teacakes and pizza. I have to choose some healthy food to make it look a bit better [grin

SmellTheGlove · 22/11/2016 12:28

Meh. That extra pound is still hanging around. Ah well 2 and a half pounds in three weeks is better than nothing.
