Well done Firefly that's a great loss! I'd be chuffed with that!

My menu has gone like this -

A few tablespoons of porridge with ss milk
Skinny latte with gingerbread syrup
2 slices of bacon in a wholemeal roll
A handful of crisps
Steak, a few homemade chips and peas
Half a pretzel
Another skinny latte with honeycomb syrup
Small bowl of chilli and 100g rice
Chopped pineapple

Lokisglowstickofdestiny · 20/11/2016 08:05

Morning all, weigh in this morning, I'm down to 71kg from 72.2kg. Total lost so far 2.8kg. I am 1kg off my first target of 70kg. Weather has calmed down a bit after storm but I think my usually Sunday walk will have to wait until later in the day. Porridge for breakfast, maybe a tuna wrap for lunch with salad and a beef stir fry for dinner. I'm finding the calorie counting a pain in the arse but I have to admit that it's working, I'm more mindful of portion sizes. A "normal" portion according to the packet of pasta for example is around 300 calories, that's before you've put a sauce on it. I've started to opt for around 1/2 or 2/3rds of that and finding its still enough.

time4areboot · 20/11/2016 08:20

Finally I've started losing. Only a pound (or 0.6kg to be precise) but given that I've been ill and very inactive for over a week (no loss of appetite grin) - I'm pleased just to see it moving in the right direction. smile

Fortunatepiggy · 20/11/2016 08:29

2ilb loss! slow progress but at least it's coming off!

Have been lo carbing and bought one of those spiralisers really good for courgettes instead of spaghetti with your spag Bol!

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 20/11/2016 08:46

1/2lb gain for me BlushConfused not happy with that but i know I've had a couple of days where I've fallen off the wagon so i guess I should be grateful it's not more.

Porridge and banana for breakfast. Not sure what lunch will be yet but dinner will be pork chops with something. Promised DD a treat trip to Costa this morning but I will make sure I remember to ask for skinny milk in my latte!

Milliemoodle I think I've added you as a friend on MFP but never done it before so it sure it worked.

Notsoskinnyminny · 20/11/2016 08:59

1lb off for me making my total loss 6.25lbs and I've still had my weekend wine.

Millie I love lebkuchen and stollen, our Xmas supplies are in my boot to keep me away from temptation and stop the gannets (DHL and DS) eating them in one go. Home Bargains had boxes of 24 yesterday but they're too nice so after sampling 1\2 I've given them to skinny DD to take back to uni - I definitely need a Halo Grin

Time to take the skinny one to work, have a good day everyone.

MillieMoodle · 20/11/2016 10:06

Wench yes you've added me on MFP!

Notso - I could eat a whole bag in one go but will try to limit myself to two per day. It's not Christmas without lebkuchen!

Had actimel, tea and cornflakes for breakfast. Haven't weighed myself yet as DH is hogging the bathroom. DS2 let us sleep til 8am so I feel almost human today. We are off out to get some Christmas shopping done today so not sure what lunch will be. Dinner will be chilli con carne or omelette, haven't decided yet. Will report back when I've weighed myself.

SuperFlyHigh · 20/11/2016 10:35

Sorry for drop off have had a nightmare week at work!

Ok so Thursday had sausage and egg mc muffin with has brown and water for breakfast then various Jamaican food at lunch (buffet) mix of escovitch fish fried, jerk chicken, festival (like a dumpling), coleslaw, salad, rice with beans etc. evening can't remember what I had could be tuna fish pie and veggies. No snacks. 5-6 cups of tea skim milk, camomile tea, 2 glasses water. Approx 45 mins walking.

Friday morning toast with marmite, for lunch burrito with steak, rice with beans and dips (guacamole, salsa, sour cream, cheese etc) and margarita to drink! In evening can't think what had but think fish cakes with potatoes and veggies. No snacks, tea and water as usual.. Same walking.

Yesterday had ryvita and cheese x 2 and ryvita and marmite x 2 plus proactive margarine for breakfast, pret small tomato soup and pret slim prosciutto ham and salad (?) about 250 I think calories for the sandwich. Had omelette with cheese and mushrooms for dinner with roast potatoes and salad with beetroot, radish and tomatoes and avocado and lettuce.

Later went to party had veggie Jamaican patty, fried fish patties, crisps, 3 large glasses wine with fruit juice (echo Falls), 1 slice gateau with fruit for dessert. Walking during the day about 50-60 minutes on and off as went shopping in west end... enough to kill anyone! camomile tea x 1 and water throughout day, about 5 cups tea skim milk. Ate marmite crisps.

This morning! Lentil lites with blue cheese 99 calories, mini popadoms 268 calories. 3 cups tea skim milk. No exercise!

MillieMoodle · 20/11/2016 10:40

Have weighed myself and am 10st 10lbs still, so not lost anything this week. I've hovered between 10st 10lbs and 10st 9lbs all week. Here's hoping next week is a better one!

MillieMoodle · 20/11/2016 10:41

Oops I mean 11st 10lbs! I've haven't lost a stone!

SuperFlyHigh · 20/11/2016 10:44

My saving grace Millie is that I only had burritos...

I forgot as starving on Thursday also had strawberry and grape fruit salad and Yeo valley Greek honey yogurt.

And a chocolate Madeleine on Friday morning!

wejammin · 20/11/2016 11:26

Weighed in this morning at 9 st 6 1/4 which is a 1 1/2 lb loss in a week.

We went to wagamama for tea last night which I thought was pretty healthy but MFP tells me my tofu pad Thai was 840 calories! And had some birthday cake I'd made for MIL.

I've got the week off next week so will try not to snack a lot, temptation will be high!

happypoobum · 20/11/2016 12:06

Weighed in and am same as last week Shock Angry

So Start 12.13
Week 1 12.8
Week 2 12.5
Week 3 12.5

No idea what went wrong. I had a chicken burger and chips on THursday but walked about 6 miles that day. Also was under my 1200 calorie limit on three days. I am trying to look at it that I have lost 8lbs over three weeks but am gravely disappointed.

I think I will stick to the 1200 calories this week and will just eat stuff that has given calories like ready meals and packet stuff. I know it's not as healthy as eating from scratch but I can't have another week where I don't lose.

If that doesn't work I will have to reduce to 1000 calories a day on MFP which seems extreme but needs must. I hope everyone else does really well this week. Congratulations to everyone who has lost.

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 20/11/2016 12:30

Just looking back over my MFP history and noticed when I did it at the start of 2015, I went from 10st 8lb to 10st in a month. I remember doing MFP then but don't remember it being that effective but the stats are the so must be right. So I'm feeling a little more motivated knowing I've done it before. I can do it again! Though of course my starting weight this time is almost half a stone heavier.

Millie stupid question but now that we are friends on MFP, what does that actually mean? Do we just get to see each other's weight loss? Will it notify you if when I do the exercise bike?

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 20/11/2016 12:59

Omg Millie ... i just did 5k on my exercise bike for the first time in goodness knows how long. I think I might collapse (both from shock and exhaustion!) took me just over 18mins on level one (shouldn't level one be easy?! Confused) and it tells me I burnt 108 calories. But I did it! Just got to keep it up now!

Lokisglowstickofdestiny · 20/11/2016 14:10

Wench I think you have inspired me to get on the exercise bike this afternoon, weather is still horrible here so I don't feel inclined to go out for a walk. Shall pick something to watch on Amazon or Netflix to while away the time.

MillieMoodle · 20/11/2016 14:26

Well done wench! Yes as MFP friends we can see each other's weight loss and an exercise added. I've got no excuse for not doing 5k in the bike today then! Dammit!

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 20/11/2016 15:38

I wasn't actually planning to start the exercise bike until tomorrow but I'd been to Costa with DD for a treat although I had skinny latte and she pinched half of my toast anyway so it wasn't that calorific after all and was feeling guilty so had a sudden urge to cycle (wtf?! Never had the urge to cycle before!!)

You can do it millie Smile

MillieMoodle · 20/11/2016 15:54

Wench I have asked DH to get the bike out of the garage this afternoon. I have explained to him about this thread and that you have done 5k today so I now have no excuse. He looked at me like this: HmmConfused

Had KFC for lunch so definitely need to burn some calories though.

Will report back later when I've done my cycling if I'm still alive.

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 20/11/2016 20:18

This just appeared on my Facebook and it seems appropriate (for me anyway!) .... Grin

metoo22 · 20/11/2016 21:15

I just did my weigh in, and its better than I thought, 10.8 so that's 2 lb over three weeks. Must persevere...

Ice3 · 20/11/2016 21:19

Ha, that is very appropriate for me Queen, especially today!

Goo job everyone. I can't weigh in today because the batteries in my scale have died. Some should be arriving tomorrow afternoon though.

MillieMoodle · 20/11/2016 21:48

Wench I've done my 5k! It took 11 mins and according to my bike I burned 114 calories. My legs and bum hurt already. As do my stitches from DS2 Blush.

Had crackerbread with cheese and 5 Jaffa cakes for dinner.

Need water and bed now!

TheresAlwaysTimeForTea · 21/11/2016 05:48

So talk to me about intermittent fasting - anyone trying 5:2? I feel like I need to up the ante a little. I've done well so far on the low carbs thing but I'm not really losing anymore atm. Was thinking of trying to introduce two fast days a week. What's the best way to do it? I read that eating at 1pm and 8pm is best and try to restrict the cals on those days. I would love to just give myself another little loss before the end of the month to spur me on in December!

comeagainforbigfudge · 21/11/2016 06:25

Weighed myself just there. 13st dead on. So a small gain but nothing tooooooooo drastic after my week of eating crappola tonnes of, well, food.

today's plan of attack:

1 - drink as much water as i can manage
2 - no fizzy drinks
3 - make better food choices

Had another terrible night with sproglet. Who has fallen asleep just as i need to go to work. Obviously. But hopefully i will not resort to old habits too quickly Sad
