Thanks, they are really stretchy though. I wouldn't dare try jeans or anything yet! I started in October so a while before this thread. I was 189lb (13s5) and now I'm 166 (11s9). Congrats on your loss! Smile

Bibs2014 · 16/11/2016 22:07

Lunch was chicken, rice and broccoli soup from Pret with a bit of leftover smoothie.

Dinner was homemade lentil curry and a couple of chapattis.

MillieMoodle · 17/11/2016 07:50

Breakfast today is actimel, tea and a brioche roll (after school drop off).

Lunch will be crackerbread, cottage cheese and cherry tomatoes. Dinner will be chicken stir fry.

I did have two Jaffa cakes last night but was only 20 calories over my allowance for the day so not too disappointed with that.

ScuttlbuttHarpy · 17/11/2016 08:53

marking place, have been on plan since tuesday, had a wobble monday. so need to stick at it for the rest of the week, even manged a mcdonalds drive through and only got a salad yesterday .

00100001 · 17/11/2016 09:22

I'm "starting again" as I have only maintained for 3 weeks... so:
Now: 80.3kg
Target: 72kg

1kg a week... too much?

If I cut out carbs I should be able to do it.

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 17/11/2016 09:36

I had porridge (made with water rather than milk so saved some calories there!) with mashed banana and a teaspoon of honey mixed in, and a cup of tea at 7:45am. Why do I feel hungry already? Confused

comeagainforbigfudge · 17/11/2016 09:51

we've had an AWFUL week so far with The Child That Will Not Sleep. Been so tired that carbs have been my frienemy.

Im hoping the later half of week will be better. At the very least, i will be happy if i just maintain Confused

B - yogurt
L - soup of some kind
D - beef soft taco thingys ( one of those kits) with onions and peppers and a tomato and avocado salad type effort

Snacks - banana, satsumas, rice cracker with peanut butter

comeagainforbigfudge · 17/11/2016 09:54

Ps thanks for new thread firefly

wench im the same with porridge
I dont know how its meant to keep you full til lunchtime!! Its a lie, i tell ye, A LIE shakes fist for dramatic effect

SmellTheGlove · 17/11/2016 11:36

Most of my calories for the past 2 days have come from chocolate! Not ideal. I'm staying within though so that's something I suppose! Find it hard at work as I don't eat a proper lunch and then so knackered after work I want to comfort eat. But still sticking to it so that's actually quite an achievement for me. A pound a week is slow but steady.

Bibs2014 · 17/11/2016 13:33

2 slices of bacon, scrambled eggs, baked beans and a slice of toast for brunch.

readyforsunshine · 17/11/2016 14:56

Thanks for thread firefly
Feeling fully back to normal today after a few carby days post illness, now hoping to turn it round & manage a loss this week.
wench protein will keep you fuller for longer & it's near impossible to binge on. I could eat several rounds of toast but couldn't eat endless eggs for eg. Make sure you're drinking enough water too.
fudge & others with littlies, I think you're doing really well to attempt a diet, I was inhaling flapjack to keep me going when mine were little. Now they're teenagers it's hard to lay off the wine, unless of course I'm taxi driving!

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 17/11/2016 15:06

Thanks readyforsunshine - I was just about to come on to ask what low cal foods are going to keep me full the longest. I do eat quite a lot of eggs anyway. I really need to avoid the carbs but I love bread so much. It will be hard.

I had an early lunch of 2 crackers with dairylea triangles, lots of cucumber and tomatoes which was fine at the time but of course need a snack now. I've had the tiniest bit of dark chocolate (half a small bar - never been able to resist eating the whole lot before!) probably not the best thing to snack on but I was craving it.

Today I am on target to stay under (or at least close to!) my MFP allowance but I think I will be hungry later. I've got an "orzo pasta and slow roasted tomatoes" ready made salad thing for dinner as We've got after school appointments and activities today so no time to cook. It's looks yummy and I'm looking forward to it but it's also looks very very small Confused

Ice3 · 17/11/2016 15:24

I thought dark chocolate was good for you? Grin

My breakfast is usually scrambled eggs (1 whole egg, 3 whites and a bit of cheese) which is 164cal and keeps me full for ages. If I'm really hungry I'll add bacon (69cal) beans or veg.

Which bread do you eat? I'm using 50/50 crusts away at the moment because is is only 47cal a slice.

I just had some chicken, carrots and protein milk. I overdid the exercise yesterday and my limbs feel like noodles.

MillieMoodle · 17/11/2016 16:11

Oh I am struggling not to eat everything in the house today. The weather is awful and I just want to snuggle down in front of the tv with wine and lots of chocolate. Aargh. So far have limited it to two Jaffa cakes.

Notsoskinnyminny · 17/11/2016 16:25

I've just been for eye treatment and succumbed to a Costa latte and muffin because I forgot my sunglasses and it was too bright to go outside - how good is that for an excuse Grin

Big hugs for those with insomniac little ones - I remember those days well thankfully DD was a sleeper because I couldn't have coped with another one like DS - still not sure how I managed to get pregnant again as I'm sure we were too knackered to do anything Grin

TheresAlwaysTimeForTea · 17/11/2016 18:32

Hey firefly I had an office full of helpers take it away thank god so it was alright in the end. In the madness I have put a pound on but I think it's because I didn't drink much water yesterday so hoping that disappears. Don't think I've lost anything this week! Tried spiraliser rice tonight made from carrots and sweet potato to go with my child - it was alright. Not amazing but a good enough alternative!

FireflyGirl · 17/11/2016 21:40

Nearly halfway done Cate, well done!

Homemade lentil curry sounds lovely, Bibs.

001 1kg a week is definitely achievable, but might get tricky nearer Christmas. Do you have many dos coming up?

Smell slow but steady is good. Is there any way you could take a low calorie lunch?

Lucky you had such eager helpers, TimeForTea. Not sure what MFP would make of you eating your child for tea, though Wink

Think I've had the most calories in a week tonight, but still under my limit and I'm so chuffed. Had a cheeky quick weigh in on the gym scales tonight before class and I'm definitely on track for a loss this week.

B: dippy eggs and soldiers
L: Chicken and feta salad with a wholemeal pitta and hummous, followed by blueberries.
T: beef gyros with (Aldi frozen) sweet potato fries and salad with rocket.
Snack: cereal bar, as tea wasn't until late.

Think the main differences in my eating are smaller portion sizes and pretty much no snacking between meals. I'm definitely seeing better results than previously, which is spurring me on.

Just caught up with new thread. My stats are:
5'4" tall weighing currently 11st3lb. Have lost not an ounce. Went down then up and now back to where I started. I am using a cobbled together Fitbit which tells me that basically, I don't move enough and eat too much. Fitness pal tells me I don't eat enough Confused. I have cut down sugar this last week, so hoping for some loss.

TheresAlwaysTimeForTea · 18/11/2016 06:07

Ha oops! I meant chilli! Too many carbs in child!!! Anyway water seems to have done the trick. Officially 7lbs loss now. Going to be really strict this week and see if I can make it 9lbs off☘

feedmelollipops · 18/11/2016 07:13

Please can I join. Stats are 5ft4 and weighed in at 9 stone 6 this morning. I'm 2 lbs down from last week!

Just started back at work after mat leave so worried as it's very sedentary desk work and they've started doing yummy jacket potatoes.

I always skip breakfast as it's the only way to stay slim. I guess it's called 16:8 these days!

wejammin · 18/11/2016 10:06

Lapin I'm vegan. Mushroom pie is A Load (technical) of sliced mushrooms, a couple of leeks, some fresh thyme, veggie stock, mushroom ketchup and Oatly Cream, simmer for A Bit (technical) then bung in a pie dish, cover with Jus Roll Puff pastry and cook for 30 - 40 min on 180. Serve with instant mash (classy), Bisto (classy) and peas for a happy winter meal.

TheresAlwaysTimeForTea that loss is fantastic!

MillieMoodle · 18/11/2016 11:49

Breakfast today was actimel, tea and porridge.

Have been sorting out DS2's clothes this morning as his room was a bit of a state. Have sorted them out downstairs and now in the process of putting them away so have run up and down the stairs a million times, which will hopefully help my step count today!

Yesterday I had 6 Jaffa cakes and a dark choc digestive and a Chinese takeaway for dinner so I have to be really good today!

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 18/11/2016 12:07

Today I'm working so started the day at a ridiculously early hour with a yogurt drink. Breakfast about 8am was tea and porridge with banana. Mid morning naughty snack was hot chocolate with a square of dark chocolate, plus 2 chocolates from a box of Celebrations that someone unhelpfully brought in. Lunch is jacket potato with prawn mayo and lots of salad.

Not sure yet what dinner will be but MFP tells me I only have 339 calories left so whatever it is, it will be boring (or way over again). I did cycle to work this morning though (15-20mins) so that must count for something.

I stupidly had a sneaky step on the scales this morning and they were showing as 1.5lb heavier than Sunday Shock Clearly I'm not doing this right. I want to give up Sad

Notsoskinnyminny · 18/11/2016 14:23

Don't give up Wench the gain could be due to water retention or you may be due a whoosh. How are your clothes feeling, are they getting looser? Apart from my waist where I always lose it from first my measurements are practically the same but I've lost the back boobs.

I'm a bad friend - my friend called round to see if I was ok after yesterday and made a detour to a posh bakery to get us some cakes and crashed Shock thankfully she's ok, bumper's can be repaired, but I selfishly said 'that's great, I'm being good' when she apologised for being too upset to stop at the bakery.

Right must get off the iPad, all screen time's limited (including TV, kindle and reading) for the next 72 hrs and I'm bored shitless already I'm even thinking of ironing or cleaning Grin

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 18/11/2016 16:08

Sadly my clothes feel exactly the same. The real test is my uniform trousers as they are proper "formal" style trousers, rather than the stretchy casuals I wear at home and they are just as tight & uncomfortable as ever

I've decided to change my MFP goal to 1400 calories a day. I'd set it to aim for 2lb loss a week which allowed me 1200 calories daily but I go over this every day and it's making me feel a failure. By setting it to 1400, I'm hoping it will be easier to stay within limit and i'm sure it's still much less than I was eating before we started this. Weight loss won't be as quick as I'd like but if it's something I can stick to, at least I'll be heading in the right direction. And maybe once I'm used to sticking to 1400, it won't be so much of a leap to reduce it a bit more.

How's everyone else doing today? Milliemoodle?
