Just got back from holiday this morning and while I feel like I've stayed the same or even lost a bit ( I don't weigh myself as I don't want reasons to celebrate or commiserate) I want to continue with the healthy eating I did while there

I was pretty careful . Limited myself to one treat a day, a gluten free cake , ice cream lolly with chocolate and nuts around.

I never bought any chocolate ( unusual for me). Very few potatoes. I found veg and protein was enough in that heat.
Not a big drinker. A gin and tonic for me is a tonic with a splash of gin a couple of times a day and we walked for miles.

So....I have a wedding coming up next year and I have four lovely dresses to choose from. Two I got married in ( knee length rather than bridal). One champagne, other a kindd of French beige. I can get them zipped but can't breathe in them.

Then I have a pale green and a pale pink. They are unworn as they were new last year and I couldn't wear them as I'd put some weight on.

So...my plan is to practice healthy eating and intermittent fasting till Christmas.

My usual breakfast omelette but this time allowing more than 13 hours of fasting between dinner the night before and breakfast. Green soup. Today's looked putrid but tasted fine. It was a rich dark blue green as a teaspoon of spirulina went in as well. Plus a few cashews and a bit of feta

Tonight will be homemade turkey curry. Eaten by 7 to allow for the fast.

I don't want to go back to chocolate or crisps when I snack.
It's going to be painful as Im Already gluten and mostly dairy free, so I can only cut back on sugary snacks and it's so much cooler here so I want to eat.

I'm also going to look into mindful eating.

Anyone with me till Christmas.

Then it will be a couple of days off. Then back on till our next break in march where I'll have to watch myself for the wedding in may.

I like to have a goal.

I am going to stop short of vomit envy as that is getting too close to eating disorder territory for comfort. So I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that your lack of hunger is down to the motivation emanating from this thread!

Dowser · 29/10/2016 15:00

Yummmeeeeee!
I wish you could all taste this chick pea pizza. Oh the flavours
Chick pea flour and water make thin batter
Pour into pan we use griddle pan
Not sure if he turns it
Then tomato purée , cheese and chorizo
Put under grill

Heaven. All gluten free and I don't feeel guilty about eating a whole one

Excellent way to view things Brill and then just think of the slinky little number you can wear xmas day!

Horace I too hope the lack of appetite is not a sign of the dreaded bug! My dd2 had it not long ago and it was just ridiculous!

PlantpotPookins · 29/10/2016 16:03

Dowser I follow paleo and have both Amelia Freers books and find them brilliant. I lost nearly 2 stone but have plateaued for awhile now and need to get back. I too am dairy free and mostly gluten free. I make my own gluten free granola which is yummy and have it with coconut milk, berries, coconut yoghurt and a little maple. I found paleo worked for me as its naturally low carb and the weight just came off consistantly and its easy to do this always too.

Weekends are so hard. DH always wants to eat nice food and I find it so hard to resist.

Time to recommence running I think.

RonBurgundysMoustache · 29/10/2016 20:29

feed I have that problem too.. my husband just wants to eat crap and drink! So I have to be so careful not to undo all my hard work during the week! We have had a slimming world dinner and I have had a small glass of wine and may have one more but that's it and I'm still 300 calories under my allowance.. hope it stays that way!

RonBurgundysMoustache · 29/10/2016 20:30

I would like to run but as stupid as it sounds I had a rather large chest and running makes me so paranoid.. I hide in the gym at the back in the treadmill normally!

RonBurgundysMoustache · 29/10/2016 20:35

Have not had unfortunately!

Dowser · 29/10/2016 20:38

That's it. I'm stitching up my mouth for tonight.

After pizza came a gin and tonic. Three sweets from the trick or treat bag.
The middle of a small mince pie and a few spoonfuls of mushy peas

Another gin and tonic

So, I've ditched supper. It's now tomorrow's lunch.

This is because I'm doing the no s diet and it's the weekend. Had enough treats...so no more.

Feeling hungry and low after a supper of grilled chicken and Leaves. Then I snadged two pieces of garlic bread off the boys. Still within my allowance according to MFP but cross.
And I want a glass of wine to drink with Strictly.

Can I join you all please? I joined WW earlier this week and I am determined to make some progress by Christmas. I've had lots of lovely meals this week and haven't been too tempted to stray so really hoping for a decent loss this week. I have about a stone and a half to go til target...

BrillianaHarvey · 30/10/2016 09:06

Welcome!
I've just had my breakfast of quinoa porridge with berries and pecans. Really hoping it will show on the scales too.

RonBurgundysMoustache · 30/10/2016 09:26

Hello church I'm doing slimming world and it seems to be working!

I had a glass of wine watching X factor.. still within my allowance but I need to stop completely.. it's just wasted calories and I can feel I had some this morning I feel very sluggish! So next time I say I'm going to have one everyone tell me off! Grin

feedmelollipops · 30/10/2016 09:39

Ron I know what you mean about big boobs and running. I tend to run under the cover of darkness as hate people seeing me!

I weighed myself this morning and I was 3lb heavier than Friday!! AF is here though so hoping it's just water weight and not the home made pizza I devoured last night. It was so good though.

BrillianaHarvey · 30/10/2016 10:10

So do I - on the running front I mean. There is no sports bra that will contain my norks, so I have reverted to the simple expedient of not exercising at all, ever.
1lb down this morning, so we are On the Right Path.

RonBurgundysMoustache · 30/10/2016 10:13

feed I can't go for a run at night as my youngest goes to bed at 5pm and my husband works away during the week.. maybe I will have to convince him to get me a treadmill in the garage!! Or else divise some sort of industrial strength boob contraption for me!! Confused

Sure the extra pounds will be down to AF don't worry.. a few days and you will be back to Fridays weight.. or maybe even a little less!

RonBurgundysMoustache · 30/10/2016 10:15

Brill 1 more pound off... hooray!

Dowser · 30/10/2016 11:31

Yes of course chuchi

I clicked on link in aloe's post and the site was just too complicated at such a late hour.
I drink some vile tasting stuff each day ( home made herbal tinctures etc) and I have to say aloe Vera juice that I bought for my digestion is up there with them.
Nothing would convince me to eat/ drink those products while dieting.

What a hungry night I had last night. I seemed to be awake a lot of the night thinking of food
Just devoured breakfast after an 18 hour fast. Don't worry lunch won't be far behind.

Sad day today. Last day of the caravan. Putting it away for the winter. It's our little refuge.
Especially during the week when we often have the field to ourselves.

Ah well, onwards and upwards.

Is there room for another fat one? Smile I have a lot to lose, but if I don't do something about it now, I never will. It doesn't help that I'm 5"11 - so the numbers on the scales are always a bit disheartening!

I'm at the end of week 1 low carbing, and 2 lbs down, but I need something to keep my motivation up! I did pretty well all week - except for Friday where I fell into some garlic bread and a bottle of prosecco Blush. Still, I've done a meal plan and food shop for the week, so it's all systems go for next week!

RonBurgundysMoustache · 30/10/2016 12:33

Welcome NoTractors of course there is room! And well done for the 2 pound off.. starting as you mean to go on! Grin

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 30/10/2016 12:53

Thanks Ron! This is my first time trying low-carb, and my first serious attempt to lose weight in quite some time Blush so I'm intrigued to see what happens next Smile
