Just got back from holiday this morning and while I feel like I've stayed the same or even lost a bit ( I don't weigh myself as I don't want reasons to celebrate or commiserate) I want to continue with the healthy eating I did while there

I was pretty careful . Limited myself to one treat a day, a gluten free cake , ice cream lolly with chocolate and nuts around.

I never bought any chocolate ( unusual for me). Very few potatoes. I found veg and protein was enough in that heat.
Not a big drinker. A gin and tonic for me is a tonic with a splash of gin a couple of times a day and we walked for miles.

So....I have a wedding coming up next year and I have four lovely dresses to choose from. Two I got married in ( knee length rather than bridal). One champagne, other a kindd of French beige. I can get them zipped but can't breathe in them.

Then I have a pale green and a pale pink. They are unworn as they were new last year and I couldn't wear them as I'd put some weight on.

So...my plan is to practice healthy eating and intermittent fasting till Christmas.

My usual breakfast omelette but this time allowing more than 13 hours of fasting between dinner the night before and breakfast. Green soup. Today's looked putrid but tasted fine. It was a rich dark blue green as a teaspoon of spirulina went in as well. Plus a few cashews and a bit of feta

Tonight will be homemade turkey curry. Eaten by 7 to allow for the fast.

I don't want to go back to chocolate or crisps when I snack.
It's going to be painful as Im Already gluten and mostly dairy free, so I can only cut back on sugary snacks and it's so much cooler here so I want to eat.

I'm also going to look into mindful eating.

Anyone with me till Christmas.

Then it will be a couple of days off. Then back on till our next break in march where I'll have to watch myself for the wedding in may.

I like to have a goal.

Hahaha Tractors

Horace you look fab, Have a great night!

Brill where you at??!!

BrillianaHarvey · 17/12/2016 21:20

Hi everyone! Sorry to have gone awol - really hectic week preparing for Christmas party on Thursday.
But despite an onslaught of seasonal cocktails and finger food, the scales are still heading in the right direction. Wore a dress last night from the previously off-limits section of my wardrobe.
27inch waist - why are you even on this thread???!

BrillianaHarvey · 17/12/2016 21:26

Just catching up on posts - Horrace you look amazing!
Appalled by Biscuitgate. Aldi clearly in league with Satan.
Glad you're enjoying your holiday, Dowser - I'm so envious of you in the sunshine.

Dowser · 17/12/2016 21:35

Looks fab Horace ..

(Wishing she hadn't polished off a load of choccie and chips and Canarian potatoes :-(

Not so warm today...about 20 ...but cool wind.

Not complaining.

Down to last three full days.

Going to start packing tomorrow.

Hope you had a good night Horrace!

Sounds like a busy old time Brill - and how fab that the scales are still going down.

Dowser - enjoy the last few days of your holiday!

I've had a huge chicken caesar salad today and struggling to find motivation to plan anything for dinner/lunch tomorrow. DCs are hyper and DH is hungover - I'm just watching the showjumping on the tv and ignoring them all Grin

Dowser · 20/12/2016 09:37

Thank you. Last day today so giving it all we've got.

Been a fabulous time to come away it really has.
Food, eating diet...all over the place.
I hope I can squeeze back into my travelling clothes tomorrow.

I feel like a little Chris mas pudding.

Dh took a photo of me and my pals and I just look huge of boob!

I'm hoping a lot of it is water, but I suspect it's gin, ice cream and chocolate.

Have we given up lol?
Or is it just about damage limitation now.
Answers on a plain postcard please ;-)

I'm still here Dowser just maintaining at the moment as so many xmas do's happening over the last few days.. think I'll miss target by 2lb but hey I can live with that I'm down 12lb and a dress size so will continue in Jan and see if I can loose the last 7lb to be back to my pre kids weight which would be amazing!

Hope everyone is doing well, or if taking a break over xmas hope you all enjoy it immensely! Grin

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 22/12/2016 17:55

I'm down 12lbs too - happy to leave it there for Christmas, and will start again in the New Year. No loss in dress size, but some considerable loss of inches around my waist Smile. This is the first time I've really tried to lose weight, so I'm heartened that I can do it, and we'll see what 2017 brings!

Thanks for all your support everyone, it's helped me a lot Smile

Dowser · 26/12/2016 00:49

So were you a Christmas cracker or a Christmas pudding.

I'm going to say cracker because even though the dress in wore ( red and sparkly, with gold slightly sparkly cardigan with half sleeves) was close fitting, it never once felt too tight. I actually matched my Christmas tree lol

I felt nice hat was the main thing and just paced myself. The two helpings of trifle I had were a bit ott but were gluten free so I didn't feel bloated.
Hope you all had a lovely, guilt free day.
Tomorrow is all about damage limitation in a house groaning with food.

Merry Christmas everyone, hope you are all having a lovely festive eating frenzy! 😄

Dowser you sure do sound like a xmas cracker! Glad you felt good, and more importantly you had a lovely day without any guilt!

Yesterday wasn't too bad, had a big dinner but didn't drink much so that must have helped immensely.. got Boxing Day at our house today with the in laws so will see how well I behave in my own home! Grin

Horrace well done that's great!

I will be back on 1st Jan too.. need to loose another 7lb then I will be very happy!

Hope everyone has a great new year 🍾

BrillianaHarvey · 27/12/2016 22:57

Hi all! Yup, signing off until 1 January while I navigate through the treacherous waters of festive provender.
I've lost 11 pounds overall, so generally happy. Like Ron, another half stone and I'll be at a realistic target weight.
Happy New Year to you all!

Dowser · 29/12/2016 11:42

You all sound like you've done incredibly well.

I've thrown caution to the winds since my Christmas Day post.

Not even practicing damage limitation now.
Too much slobbing in front of the goggle box .

Hello ladies.

Hope you all had a lovely New Years!

Is anyone still carrying on with the weight loss now? I still have 7lb to loose (plus the 2lb I put on over xmas but hoping that will come off relatively easily now I'm eating sensibly again) would be great to carry on this journey with you lot if anyone is still up for it?!

BrillianaHarvey · 04/01/2017 18:21

Hi Ron! You did better than me - I'm 4lbs up. I'd like to carry on: this thread has been such an inspiration and support over the last couple of months.
Shall we start a shiny new thread?
And more importantly, did you wear a slinky little number on Christmas Day?

RonBurgundysMoustache · 04/01/2017 20:20

Yay Brill I didn't want to carry on if it was just me as I know I would loose track and start being bad again!

I will let you do the honours with a new thread as you are far more articulate than me, and the title will be far better! Grin

4lb is nothing you can have that off in no time if you are good, and I'm sure you can... I wore a Christmas themed dress xmas day (my daughters insisted I joined in) but it was a size 10 so I was ok with that, and Boxing Day I wore a lovely jumpsuit I haven't been able to wear as it was too tight yay!!

How about you?

BrillianaHarvey · 06/01/2017 22:28

Right I've started a new thread but don't know how to post a link - it's called Countdown to Christmas- The Sequel. Took me two days to think of the title after you accused me of being articulate!
Hope to see you over there.
