Just got back from holiday this morning and while I feel like I've stayed the same or even lost a bit ( I don't weigh myself as I don't want reasons to celebrate or commiserate) I want to continue with the healthy eating I did while there

I was pretty careful . Limited myself to one treat a day, a gluten free cake , ice cream lolly with chocolate and nuts around.

I never bought any chocolate ( unusual for me). Very few potatoes. I found veg and protein was enough in that heat.
Not a big drinker. A gin and tonic for me is a tonic with a splash of gin a couple of times a day and we walked for miles.

So....I have a wedding coming up next year and I have four lovely dresses to choose from. Two I got married in ( knee length rather than bridal). One champagne, other a kindd of French beige. I can get them zipped but can't breathe in them.

Then I have a pale green and a pale pink. They are unworn as they were new last year and I couldn't wear them as I'd put some weight on.

So...my plan is to practice healthy eating and intermittent fasting till Christmas.

My usual breakfast omelette but this time allowing more than 13 hours of fasting between dinner the night before and breakfast. Green soup. Today's looked putrid but tasted fine. It was a rich dark blue green as a teaspoon of spirulina went in as well. Plus a few cashews and a bit of feta

Tonight will be homemade turkey curry. Eaten by 7 to allow for the fast.

I don't want to go back to chocolate or crisps when I snack.
It's going to be painful as Im Already gluten and mostly dairy free, so I can only cut back on sugary snacks and it's so much cooler here so I want to eat.

I'm also going to look into mindful eating.

Anyone with me till Christmas.

Then it will be a couple of days off. Then back on till our next break in march where I'll have to watch myself for the wedding in may.

I like to have a goal.

Can I join in? I have lost 7 stone since last January mostly on a vlcd. I have two more to go and I would really like to get at least one more down by Christmas.

I am going on holiday next week though Confused

BrillianaHarvey · 28/10/2016 07:51

7 stone is amazing! Congratulations!
Well, I weighed myself this morning. 10.13 which is total lardarse horror for me. So target is to have a 9 in front of it by Christmas.

RonBurgundysMoustache · 28/10/2016 07:55

tartle wow. 7 stone in 10 months is amazing well done!

brill that's my target too.. want to see my weight starting with a 9 in the next few weeks hopefully but def by xmas!

RonBurgundysMoustache · 28/10/2016 07:56

feed good luck with all those kids!! Grin

BrillianaHarvey · 28/10/2016 07:58

What are you at the moment Ron?

RonBurgundysMoustache · 28/10/2016 08:03

I'm 10.4 at the moment but I'm only 5"2 so I can't afford to carry much extra weight! My ideal is about 9 stone (pre kids! 😢) but if I can get to 9.7 I'll be happy!

twobambinos · 28/10/2016 08:59

I've weighed in too. 9st 8. Have started today with a cup of tea two poached eggs and some wholemeal bread. Feeling good long may it last.
I will go for a run later probably about 5km. That will be my exercise for today sorted.
Tartle wow 7 stone that is amazing. Enjoy your holiday and you will be at your target in no time.

I tried on a dress yesterday and it was tight. A half a stone would really be the difference between the 10 fitting comfortably or needing to get a 12 taken in why can't I just motivate myself Grin

Feelmelollipops I don't think jaffa cakes are too bad are they. Only problem is if I buy them I eat the whole packet

feedmelollipops · 28/10/2016 09:21

Twobambinos how tall are you?

I'm 9.9 and stuck between a 10 and a 12.

Nothing fits!!

BrillianaHarvey · 28/10/2016 16:29

Ok so for lunch I had a bag of nuts and seeds - 114 calories. I find it very easy to eat nothing but once I start I can't stop! Dinner tonight more of a challenge.

iwilldoit30 · 28/10/2016 17:15

I'm doing ok I think, two teas this morning. A bowl of yogurt with fruit and nuts plus a slice of brown toast at 11 so that was my breakfast and lunch. Had a ham sandwich with brown bread and a yogurt again for lunch at 3. It's now gone 5 and I'm still stuffed from it. I don't want to eat after 6 though as I want to fast. Don't know if I should force more food in or just call it quits for the day.

iwilldoit30 · 28/10/2016 17:16

I'm the same Harvey, once I start I can't stop

twobambinos · 28/10/2016 17:22

I'm only 5ft 2 i think. So not very tall at all.

RonBurgundysMoustache · 28/10/2016 17:43

I have discovered the joy of g&t in a can!!! 75calories and is marvellous with lemon and lime and lots of ice!

I realise at 5.43 that it is early for booze but it's the last day of half term Grin

Dowser · 28/10/2016 19:07

Been very good today
Had my usual 2 egg omelette with fried onion all done in coconut oil
Lunch was steak and veg
I had a massive piece so cut it in half and am having the rest tonight with more veg.
Don't forget hunger pains are often a sign you are thirsty . I was ready to tear an arm off dh and eat it a few minutes bago but am having a lick rice tea and I'm calm now and the hunger pains have subsided...for now

I've been looking for my original sw books I'm going to find them and follow the old plan as that really worked for me ...was 2 lbs off every week. It was very simple . I don't do complicated.
Suddenly remembered I'm 65 next year so don't want to be 65 fat and frumpy as well.

Well done tartle. I ate well on my hols but not overmuch. Everyday I had a treat. Ice cream lolly or gluten free cake and a walk most days.
Definitely didn't put any on. One or two gin and tonics most days...but only a splash of gin

Now where are those bloody books!!

I seem incapable of having good days really lost momentum.

Can't stop eating leftovers from the children so have resorted to not having any lunch as the amount I pilfer probably is a meal worth of calories

Oh and some salted caramel cookie

Dinner was 2 scrambled eggs, some smoked salmon and half an avocado. Feeling pretty damn virtuous.

Tartle · 28/10/2016 22:09

Thanks guys it has made a huge difference but now I'm getting to the end the weight loss is slowing and I'm getting a bit discouraged!

Your dinner sounds lush brillianaharvey. I'm quite jealous. I really fancy an avocado now.

I've done well today. 3 packs and a salad and I'm about to treat myself to a square of chocolate. About 800 cals I think.

Tomorrow doesn't look good though. I'm going to a wine fair- cant see it ending well!

Dowser · 28/10/2016 22:37

Had my supper of steak and veg. Am hungry but won't cave tonight.

( can't keep up being this virtuous for ever but dammit it's my first week....errr three days )

Had a very virtuous small gin and tonic too.

Saw this article and was quite pleased that my diet consists of most of the foods shown.
I had sweet potato soup the other day and the day before I had a really green soup to which I added another dollop of spirulina powder.

Really ready for brekkie

www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-3884184/Feed-brain-boost-memory-mood-life-changing-series-psychologist-s-studied-effect-diet-mental-powers-20-years.html

It mentions the benefits of weight loss in the article
If anyone else is gluten free or considering nit my dh makes a mean pizza or wrap with gram flour ( chick pea) and buckwheat savoury pancakes are lush.

Stepped on the scales - I know, I know - and exactly the same weight as yesterday.
Breakfast: poached egg, broccoli, grilled tomato, handful of leaves.
Am clean lean fighting machine.
Though still fat.

RonBurgundysMoustache · 29/10/2016 10:59

brill don't panic we have set a target of xmas... that's 8 weeks ( or 57 days!) that's plenty of time to loose pounds! And I'm sure we are all going to have bad days but as long as it is just a day it will be fine!!

I weigh myself daily too.. I shouldn't really as it doesn't always help but as long as I don't see the needle moving back up I'm happy with that!!

tartle have fun at the wine fair! Sounds fab! Wine

BrillianaHarvey · 29/10/2016 12:28

Thanks for encouraging words, Ron! I need the discipline of daily weighing to keep me on track, even though I know real weight loss takes a while to show up. 57 days is a good way of thinking about it - on that basis I only need to lose a pound every four days to shift that stone by Christmas.

Dowser · 29/10/2016 13:19

That omelette didn't touch the sides this morning. Think lunch will be a hearty gram flour pizza with tomato purée topping, bit of cheese and chorizo

Dinner is a minced stew with rice and veg.
