Just got back from holiday this morning and while I feel like I've stayed the same or even lost a bit ( I don't weigh myself as I don't want reasons to celebrate or commiserate) I want to continue with the healthy eating I did while there

I was pretty careful . Limited myself to one treat a day, a gluten free cake , ice cream lolly with chocolate and nuts around.

I never bought any chocolate ( unusual for me). Very few potatoes. I found veg and protein was enough in that heat.
Not a big drinker. A gin and tonic for me is a tonic with a splash of gin a couple of times a day and we walked for miles.

So....I have a wedding coming up next year and I have four lovely dresses to choose from. Two I got married in ( knee length rather than bridal). One champagne, other a kindd of French beige. I can get them zipped but can't breathe in them.

Then I have a pale green and a pale pink. They are unworn as they were new last year and I couldn't wear them as I'd put some weight on.

So...my plan is to practice healthy eating and intermittent fasting till Christmas.

My usual breakfast omelette but this time allowing more than 13 hours of fasting between dinner the night before and breakfast. Green soup. Today's looked putrid but tasted fine. It was a rich dark blue green as a teaspoon of spirulina went in as well. Plus a few cashews and a bit of feta

Tonight will be homemade turkey curry. Eaten by 7 to allow for the fast.

I don't want to go back to chocolate or crisps when I snack.
It's going to be painful as Im Already gluten and mostly dairy free, so I can only cut back on sugary snacks and it's so much cooler here so I want to eat.

I'm also going to look into mindful eating.

Anyone with me till Christmas.

Then it will be a couple of days off. Then back on till our next break in march where I'll have to watch myself for the wedding in may.

I like to have a goal.

Richard welcome! Dec 6th is 35 days away so 7lb is very doable! And with exercise too I'm sure you will do it!

I'm doing T25 workout dvds and Jesus they are hard but think they are working finally!

ImBrian · 01/11/2016 10:06

Ron how do you manage not to snack? I'd love to be able to stop.

So far today I've had half a McDonald's pancake Confused but my stomach it still awful. Between a bad back and belly bug I haven't excercise for two weeks but I was doing the Kayla itstines work out and pop pilates off YouTube plus climbing once a week.

RonBurgundysMoustache · 01/11/2016 10:39

ImBrian this is the first time something has really clicked for me eating sensibly! I looked at the bowl of sweets and really thought about if I wanted one or was just bored.. turns out I was bored! I had a cup of tea and a bath and the urge went away! I need to get rid of them though as I don't want to temptation!

Sure you will get back into your exercise once you are fully recovered, take it easy until your back to full fitness! 😉

RonBurgundysMoustache · 01/11/2016 11:41

I'm down another pound woohoo!

9lb to go until xmas target! God I hope I can get there! Grin

BrillianaHarvey · 01/11/2016 12:06

Way to go, Ron!

ImBrian · 01/11/2016 12:50

Good job Ron

I am totally a boredom snacker.

RonBurgundysMoustache · 01/11/2016 13:54

Thanks ladies!!

We can all do this!

BrillianaHarvey · 01/11/2016 16:51

Ok how sad am I? Had breakfast but then really couldn't face anything at lunchtime. But then I realised that I'd get a telling-off from MFP. So I forced down a piece of rye bread and a slice of turkey breast.

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 01/11/2016 17:28

That made me laugh Brill - isn't it strange how much thinking this involves?!

Well done everyone - nearly halfway through the week Wink This thread is really motivating - I've trying not to weigh myself too much, but might brave the (cold) tape measure later! Blush

RonBurgundysMoustache · 01/11/2016 17:28

Brill I do that all the time, so you are not alone! It's always telling me off so I find myself eating for the sake of making up calories! It's done that to me tonight so I need to find something else to eat.. this shouldn't be hard! 🤔

BrillianaHarvey · 01/11/2016 17:34

I hate how it punishes you by withdrawing your daily news feed!
God I feel shite though. There's some lamb in the fridge that will go off if I don't cook it tonight but I can't face the thought of moving let alone eating.
Time to crack the whip on the boys I think. Either the 24 year old or the 62 year old ought to be able to pitch in, no?

RonBurgundysMoustache · 01/11/2016 17:37

Hell yeah!! Make either or both of them make dinner!

How I wish my kids were old enough to make me dinner ( sighs wistfully!) Grin

BrillianaHarvey · 01/11/2016 17:45

Well the 62 year old isn't my kid...
And actually the 24 year old isn't either, though I wouldn't mind at all if he were!
The only one who actually issued from my lady parts is the 8 year old and I think lamb kebabs might be a big ask.

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 01/11/2016 18:50

I feel your pain Brill - my 8yr old is good for a cup of tea, but that's it! What's the point in having them Grin

RonBurgundysMoustache · 01/11/2016 18:51

brill sorry I wasn't insinuating they were your children! Smile I just meant my kids are the only ones with me during the week so it would have to be them!

Well you could always start teaching your son now.. start as you mean to go on! 😏

ImBrian · 01/11/2016 19:36

I've been crap to day, 4 slices of banana bread at lunch time and 3 bowls of pasta at tea!! I'm going to write it off and raid the kids candy tonight then give my head a shake ready for tomorrow.

RonBurgundysMoustache · 01/11/2016 20:14

ImBrian draw a line under today and start afresh tomorrow.. it will be fine, and remember to drink plenty of water!

BrillianaHarvey · 01/11/2016 20:16

!!!
Managed to get some help from boys in a fairly inept way. Then really couldn't eat anything. Brian, do you think I can convince MFP that I am actually you?

Well done Horrace! Sounds like you've had a really successful day.

Dowser · 01/11/2016 21:27

The day started well
Omelette

Then met family for lunch
Mixed grill....says it all. I ate half of it.

Finished off with tiramisu...that was dinner....as I decided I wasn't having anything else.

Goodness knows what calories were in it but at least I stopped eating at 3pm

Hope you're feeling better soon Brill and well done Horrace on the blood donation!

I had forgotten how much these threads help motivate me. It's great hearing how others are getting on and I find it really encouraging. Good day here, food has ended up between 1000 - 1100 cals plus I got a quick trip to the gym in so had 25 mins cardio. Am even considering an early morning swim tomorrow, though in reality that is unlikely to actually happened as I am so not a morning person and hate getting out of bed in the morning!

I also haven't had any Wine since Friday (when I was still on hols) so am feeling quite chuffed about that as I am partial to a glass in the evenings once I flop on the sofa.

Can I move here from the VLCD thread now I'm slowly moving back to more real food? I'm 9st 1lb and my goal is 8st 7lb and to be back in my size 8s. I only ever buy nice clothes when I'm slim, which is maddening.

Yesterday was Cambridge porridge (150), crab salad (200) and Cambridge tikka rice with added brown shrimps (300). I also had a bit of the sausage I cut up for the dog's treats and some biltong that's in the fridge.

Today the plan is the same except prawn salad and NO NIBBLES. I really want to get out of the habit of picking at things - I bet I add hundreds of extra calories that way.

BrillianaHarvey · 02/11/2016 07:22

Morning everyone. Still feeling a bit pants. Supposed to be going out for dinner this evening (ceviche so should be possible to keep under control) but sense of taste still missing so seems a bit pointless.
Welcome Flesh and congratulations on your progress so far.
