Just got back from holiday this morning and while I feel like I've stayed the same or even lost a bit ( I don't weigh myself as I don't want reasons to celebrate or commiserate) I want to continue with the healthy eating I did while there

I was pretty careful . Limited myself to one treat a day, a gluten free cake , ice cream lolly with chocolate and nuts around.

I never bought any chocolate ( unusual for me). Very few potatoes. I found veg and protein was enough in that heat.
Not a big drinker. A gin and tonic for me is a tonic with a splash of gin a couple of times a day and we walked for miles.

So....I have a wedding coming up next year and I have four lovely dresses to choose from. Two I got married in ( knee length rather than bridal). One champagne, other a kindd of French beige. I can get them zipped but can't breathe in them.

Then I have a pale green and a pale pink. They are unworn as they were new last year and I couldn't wear them as I'd put some weight on.

So...my plan is to practice healthy eating and intermittent fasting till Christmas.

My usual breakfast omelette but this time allowing more than 13 hours of fasting between dinner the night before and breakfast. Green soup. Today's looked putrid but tasted fine. It was a rich dark blue green as a teaspoon of spirulina went in as well. Plus a few cashews and a bit of feta

Tonight will be homemade turkey curry. Eaten by 7 to allow for the fast.

I don't want to go back to chocolate or crisps when I snack.
It's going to be painful as Im Already gluten and mostly dairy free, so I can only cut back on sugary snacks and it's so much cooler here so I want to eat.

I'm also going to look into mindful eating.

Anyone with me till Christmas.

Then it will be a couple of days off. Then back on till our next break in march where I'll have to watch myself for the wedding in may.

I like to have a goal.

brill I had a bad night too, I'm not stepping in the scales though! As horace said I'm drinking water all day and being good so hopefully by the end of the week it won't be to bad (she says hopefully)

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 20/11/2016 10:48

Got my scales sorted this morning - not going to trust my readings for the last few days, as it's showing 18lb 6 - so still a lb up on last week Confused

However, I've not been the strictest low carber this week (not being organised more than anything... and that bucket of Rioja) so reading probably makes sense - I'm definitely, definitely going to behave this week Grin

I drink loads of water at work, and very little at the weekend Blush so I need to up my game on that front too Smile

BrillianaHarvey · 20/11/2016 10:50

It was pretty bad. Three courses and God knows how much wine.
Right - time to hit the (Evian) bottle!

RonBurgundysMoustache · 20/11/2016 12:36

Brill same here, although my husband did eat most of my starter and pudding so I'm trying to see that as a bonus but the wine intake was immense! 😳

Must be good all week now and make sure I don't do anymore damage!

Lunch was carvery. Veg and meat
Didn't have dinner. Just two slices of gram flour pizza

G and t

1/2 small bar of moser Roth chocolate. Fun size mars bar. Two quality street.

This might not end well though.

Still up 2lbs on Friday. Must not must not get into cycle of spending the week undoing damage of weekend. Have had my morning porridge, so a good start at least.

So today I skipped lunch but had a couple of handfuls of raisins in the afternoon. Supper was grilled mackerel with watercress, avocado and pecans. And two glasses of wine and one Charbonnel et Walker salted caramel truffle.
Have had a crappy day locked away writing. And will have a crappy day locked away writing tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday.
And then on Friday I have to spend the day baking for the school Christmas fair.
You may observe that I am currently flailing around in a far from attractive roiling swamp of self-pity.

Dowser · 21/11/2016 23:00

Did I have 5 or was it 6 choccies.

On the plus side, my actual food has been good.
Omelette, butternut squash soup and a small portion of shepherds pie.
Cabinned up with this awful weather and those chocs just kept slipping into my mouth your honour!

Must do better tomorrow!

Wedding dress day Wednesday!

Welcome user!
Fantastic news, Horrace! We can do this, you know.

Dowser · 22/11/2016 09:22

Horace, that's brilliant.

I haven't had a 30 inch waist for years and years.

Been awake for most of the night with ibs issues...bloating . Very uncomfortable.
Madness. I haven't eaten since 6-30 pm
So, starting the day tired.
That's going to make me want to eat!

RonBurgundysMoustache · 22/11/2016 17:38

Weird.. i didn't think there was anything wrong with that either!!
