Just got back from holiday this morning and while I feel like I've stayed the same or even lost a bit ( I don't weigh myself as I don't want reasons to celebrate or commiserate) I want to continue with the healthy eating I did while there

I was pretty careful . Limited myself to one treat a day, a gluten free cake , ice cream lolly with chocolate and nuts around.

I never bought any chocolate ( unusual for me). Very few potatoes. I found veg and protein was enough in that heat.
Not a big drinker. A gin and tonic for me is a tonic with a splash of gin a couple of times a day and we walked for miles.

So....I have a wedding coming up next year and I have four lovely dresses to choose from. Two I got married in ( knee length rather than bridal). One champagne, other a kindd of French beige. I can get them zipped but can't breathe in them.

Then I have a pale green and a pale pink. They are unworn as they were new last year and I couldn't wear them as I'd put some weight on.

So...my plan is to practice healthy eating and intermittent fasting till Christmas.

My usual breakfast omelette but this time allowing more than 13 hours of fasting between dinner the night before and breakfast. Green soup. Today's looked putrid but tasted fine. It was a rich dark blue green as a teaspoon of spirulina went in as well. Plus a few cashews and a bit of feta

Tonight will be homemade turkey curry. Eaten by 7 to allow for the fast.

I don't want to go back to chocolate or crisps when I snack.
It's going to be painful as Im Already gluten and mostly dairy free, so I can only cut back on sugary snacks and it's so much cooler here so I want to eat.

I'm also going to look into mindful eating.

Anyone with me till Christmas.

Then it will be a couple of days off. Then back on till our next break in march where I'll have to watch myself for the wedding in may.

I like to have a goal.

Surely any 6-year-old would leap at the chance of being a Tudor lord?

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 01/12/2016 19:07

I think I have a defective one Wink - if only I could find the receipt!

RonBurgundysMoustache · 01/12/2016 19:12

Tractors I've just laughed out loud and spat tea across the room reading that.. brilliant! 😂

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 01/12/2016 19:28

Glad to be of service Grin DS has now been mollified with some cocktail sausages and a slice of toast easily bribed

DH has cracked some wine open (which is quite unusual for him) but I'm staying virtuous with a decaf coffee Smile

Dowser · 02/12/2016 09:40

I must do better today.

It's been really mild up north...10 and 11 degrees.

Gone back to wearing sleeveless dresses again, with a silky vest underneath and half slip. A cardi and thick jacket when out and it's been quite toasty.
If this was as bad as winters gets I could cope....so could my house.

But real life isn't like that :-(

So, must do better today.

Going to a party tonight. Must lay off the Prosecco.

RonBurgundysMoustache · 02/12/2016 11:55

It's my works xmas do today brill Im not going to lay off it! 😳 But will be good rest of weekend!!

BrillianaHarvey · 02/12/2016 12:07

We have a weekend of total debauchery - suddenly we can pretend we have an actual social life! Have just eaten two cookies and feel sick.

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 02/12/2016 14:38

Envy of those with debauched, bacchanalian parties to go to!

I've been good today, but there will be a glass of wine in my evening plans Grin

BrillianaHarvey · 02/12/2016 18:04

Not sure how bacchanalian it will be on reflection. Invitation for Sunday night sternly reminded guests that it was a school night and they should exercise restraint accordingly.

Well done Horrace - I've just worked out that ours have to go up next weekend, as we won't get a chance the weekend after...and the weekend after that is Christmas Shock

I better get buying some presents Blush - I'm super organised most of the year, but have a huge blind spot when it comes to Christmas!

Hope you all have a good day - I'm mainlining coffee at the moment before ferrying the DCs about. DH is off buying presents for his side of the family far too organised

Dowser · 04/12/2016 12:13

I think I'm working on the principle that it's too late now....for my holiday that is.

I was gobbing a choccie while trying on summer dresses....irony wasn't totally lost on me.
Had a hectic 4 days. Try to finish packing today and then tree up tomorrow. Prezzies all bought. Most are wrapped.
Hectic day tomorrow. Tuesday aiming to stay in for most of it and then Wednesday escape to the sun.
The good news is I'm going to start my own dowsing group in the new year...the bad news is it's in an entirely gluten free cafe...so no temptation there then.
Am really excited.
People who run the cafe are healers so well have lots in common to talk about if no one shows up ( while we eat scrumptious chocolate and orange tart)

Dowser · 04/12/2016 14:18

Actually, have just re- evaluated the situation and yes there is still time to make a difference.
Just tried on some lovely summer dresses that looked fine but could have looked fabulous if I hadn't succumbed to quite so much chocolate.

So please don't be like me. Easy to say I know, but do try to rein yourselves in . You've stil got a couple of weeks to make a difference.

Message to oneself...please take your own advice. ;-)

Oh God stepped on the scales this morning and was 10stone 9!!!!
Time to be stern. Back to mfp. No wine. Three proper meals so no incentive to snack.
Be here for me, ladies!

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 05/12/2016 09:45

Wow, Horrace, that's amazing, you must be so chuffed Grin

Dowser - good luck with your decorating/packing plans!

Brill - you can do it!

Flowers\Grin/Flowers

BrillianaHarvey · 05/12/2016 10:23

Loving those pom-poms, Tractors! Food consumption so far = 1 poached egg. A good start I feel.

RonBurgundysMoustache · 05/12/2016 10:49

Morning lovely ladies

Horace well done, that is fabulous!!! keep up the good work!

Dowser exciting news!!! And hope all your shopping/packing is done!

Brill you can do this, you know you can.. if you are very strict it can be quite a few pounds off in 20 days! I am cheering you on Xmas Wink

Tractors sounds like a good day so far!!

I have spent the whole weekend putting up all my xmas decorations whilst trying to stop my youngest from taking the tree down!! I'm all wrapped so once I'm sure she wont destroy everything I will put them under the tree yay!

I weighed myself yesterday morning and I think the needle was closer to another pound down, so if that is correct I am now 9st 10 although I wont take it as a definite and will wait until official weigh day of Friday for a more accurate result! I hope it is as that is only 3lb off target for xmas day and an overall loss of 11lbs! Grin

BrillianaHarvey · 05/12/2016 12:16

Ron and Horrace you are doing brilliantly! I am just finding it so hard to stay on track through social events. Next Sunday is step-grandson's birthday party which will be a bit of an ordeal (having to be polite to husband's ex-wife etc) - so tempting just to hit the wine and the party food!

So pleased that everyone is doing well.
Tree is up, presents are wrapped
Very unusual for me as I'm a last minutter/ procrastinator.
But with a plane to catch its amazing what I can get done.
Another busy day today.
Food is ok.
Not brilliant
Feel like I'm maintaining.

29 inch waist...how amazing is that.

Hope you have a great holiday Dowser!

How is everyone getting on?

I'm doing ok, but up 1lb and not entirely sure why! Still on track though, and finding my portion sizes are naturally decreasing by about a third, so continuing along those lines and hoping it drops off again soon Smile
