I need to lose weight. I have a BMI of 24.5 so only just in normal range. I would like to shift a stone as I'm far too flabby at my current weight.
Anyway, I'm starting off by aiming for half a stone weight loss during June, through increased activity (Fitbit at the ready!) and sensible eating.
Anyone want to join me?
journeyon · 28/05/2016 15:42
Can I join you! My bmi considerably more! However set myself a mini goal of 1 stone by the end of July, so half stone in June would be just fab. since 26th April have lost 8lb, using mfp and have a Fitbit and aiming for 1200 steps a day.
workplacewoe · 28/05/2016 15:49
Fantastic! And well done on your weight loss so far!
facebookrecruit · 28/05/2016 15:53
I'm classed as obese on the shitty BMI calculators so I'm with you. But I'm aiming for a whole stone!
IgglePiggleIsDead · 28/05/2016 16:22
Can I join? I've already lost 10lbs since the end of April using mfp and shredding. I don't think I'll lose 7lb though so I'll aim for 5lb as that would take me to 10stone and back to a normal bmi

I'll join! I would like to lose a stone though! If not more!
RainbowFlower24 · 29/05/2016 21:46
Hello! The half stone in May thread got me started so I would be happy to join if there's room. Back in no s diet tomorrow.
RainbowFlower24 · 29/05/2016 21:48
I was 75kg. I'd like to be 65kg. I'm down only 2 kg so far so 73kg at 171cm.
aleC4 · 29/05/2016 22:27
I'm in. I have 4 stone + to lose and my BMI is 32.5, obese, and right at the end of the line.
Today I had an induction at the gym and I aim to go at least 3 times a week. It will be gentle exercise at first but anything is more than I do now so it should hopefully make a difference.
I will be using mfp too to track my calories. I also have a Fitbit. I have been doing 10000 a day recently but it doesn't seem to be enough. I will be aiming for 12000 on gym days.
twobambinos · 30/05/2016 09:34
Can I join. I'm also on the anyone need to lose a stone thread. My bmi is in the normal range too but half a stone off and of look a hell of alot better. Going to try to stick to 1200 kcal a day and eat back some exercise calories on the days I'm doing cardio more than 30 mins.
OctopusArmEnvy · 30/05/2016 09:42
Ohh me please!! I've been up and down weight wise all year so really want to start a proper downwards trend. Probably about 1.5 stone to lose but would be happy with half in a month to start :-)
What's everyone doing to make the change?? I'm going to try Gillian's shred with weights and low carbing I think xx
CloudPiineNoNiine · 30/05/2016 10:02
I'll join. I have 24lbs to lose. It has crept on quite slowly and now I'm at the WTAF has happened to me?? stage.
I want to lose it ideally before the summer hols start as will be easier to exercise/eat better with the DC at school.
I can't fit into anything nice and do not want to buy anything new in this size
I have been making an effort with eating better for a couple of days not that you'd know it by the scales
10s13lbs this morning I am short so this is very heavy for my height
Help

I'm in. I've had 2 babies in 2 years and it shows! I've lost 6lbs with MFP and going to gym 3 times a week and want to lose another 7lbs before going to Spain on the 25th June. Currently 5ft5 and 10 stone 13lbs. I'm splitting it into small goals... Next goal is to lose 3lbs to get out of the 'overweight' category. Overall goal weight is 9 stone 7lbs which is my ore first pregnancy weight.

So I have eaten today;
A banana
Cheese and pickle sandwich
Crisps
1 rich tea biscuit
A Chinese take away
A lot of tea and coffee
We have been in and out today so not a great eating day.
Picnic tomorrow weather permitting Another challenging day kettle chips anyone?

Yes I'm in. Have been losing and gaining the same three lbs for over a year. Need to have a kick up the arse. I'm going to use mfp
workplacewoe · 30/05/2016 23:20
Great to have company - thank you all! I will be using myfitnesspal and Fitbit to track my calories / activity. I'm aiming for at least 10,000 steps daily but hopefully more. Diet wise - for me anything goes as long as it's in moderation (I just can't stick at low carb / other prescriptive diets). I definitely need to up my veg & fruit consumption and will try to eat mainly fresh / non-processed foods, but won't deny myself the odd biscuit here and there just not the whole packet
I am also hoping to do Jillian Michaels' beginner shred, at least 3 sessions a week. I've tried the 30 day shred before but have never got past day 7 due to dicky knees. The beginner shred is meant to be lower impact so have high hopes!
If anyone would like to join in with the Fitbit challenges, please pm me your Fitbit email / username.
CloudPiineNoNiine · 30/05/2016 23:32
I haven't got a Fitbit but will investigate.
I have Shredded in the past and will probably start again after half term.
Also this evening I have consumed which is often accompanied by toast.
It has been a carby day
Ottosaurus · 30/05/2016 23:36
yes please. I compulsively over eat when I am alone and tired. I need moral support at night but I have to shift this weight and half a stone would really help. .
NeverFreudinthesun · 30/05/2016 23:45
2.5 stone to lose. No idea how it happened and no idea how to lose it. I'm going to try some ideas here. Using a step counter and swimming to start me off. Feeling a bit daunted as will feel even crappie about myself if I don't lose anything. (Gulp)
Saymwa · 31/05/2016 05:44
Hello,
Me too. I'm in.
Needing support and want to eat a bit more healthier.
Half a stone would be great for me.
MsColouring · 31/05/2016 07:39
Hi. Can I join you - the other thread I am on is quite quiet. Have lost around 2 stone over the last two and a half months using mfp on 1200 calories and running with C25k. Losing another half a stone will take me down to being within a healthy bmi for my height. Really trying to work on developing good habits that I can maintain long term. Unfortunately I have lost momentum with my running over the last week - had a really busy week last week and couldn't fit a run in and the last few days I haven't been well.
WorldsBiggestGrotbag · 31/05/2016 07:47
I have a Fitbit, I'll pm you workplace.
I'm really enjoying the gym at the moment but struggle to find the chance to go. I have a 2.5 year old and 10 month old, and DH leaves the house at 6.30am and often isn't home until 7pm. I try and go around 8pm when the girls are in bed but it's tough going as neither of them sleep through the night so I usually just want to crash by then. Trying not to make excuses though, I know I'll feel better overall without this extra weight.
PetersonPeterson · 31/05/2016 07:52
I'm in. 7lb to lose. Managed 6 since start of May, 7 still to go.
HairyMaclary · 31/05/2016 07:55
Yes! I work in kg though. Was 72, now 64.5 but have got stick there for the last few months. Aiming for 58. Really need a kick to get back on the wagon.
Thebigredcar · 31/05/2016 07:56
Me I'm in! Lost around 5lbs with my fitness pal last month then have been unwell and fell off the wagon I'd like to get back on it and lose half a stone with you. I'd still be overweight at 11 and a half stone then but it makes me a comfortable size 14 then and I don't look so fat at that weight!
Thecatgotmytongue · 31/05/2016 08:01
I'm in too! I need to lose about two in total, but half a stone in June would help. I'm around 12 stone 2, and 5 foot 7, so between size 14 and size 16 at the moment. Things have been tough and I've been comfort eating, I need to break the habit and stop eating chocolate. I've a few physical issues that prevent me running etc, but I try to walk my dog every day.
