Morning !

7lbs chunks is what you need Green and a reward for every stone. I'm definitely interested in the BSD too, will see how you get on ! Hope DD has had her lunch this week?

Sorry your son is struggling a bit rachey DD was very upset this morning. They are so little still, it's all really stressful :( Pleased your DS had a better day.
Could you diet Mon-Thurs? Calories restrict to 800-1000? It's nice to have lots of plans even if not diet friendly.

I have lost a 1lb this week, I am still heavier than when I started 6 years ago! I need to try harder, somehow.... Still 28lbs to lose, sigh.

How are you Sol ?

Hope everyone has a good day.

Greenrabbit · 26/09/2017 10:54

Hi,

DD started full days last week. She's only ever been at nursery for half days (spoilt!) so she is very tired.
She's been eating a little bit more. She was in a foul mood yesterday afternoon so had dinner as soon as she got in!
I'm pleased that he had a better day Rachey. Pom is right they are so small still.
I also think some behaviour systems are too negative/complicated for small children to follow. It does stress the children.
The school has just changed theirs and it seems much more positive. DD2 used to over react if she got a 'negative' consequence, they didn't seem to get enough praise.

Well done on the loss Pom. I'm much heavier than 6 years ago too. It's depressing isn't it?

I'm like you Rachey its 'All or nothing' for me too.
I've now got terrible eating habits. I drink far too much wine too.

Anyway I figure that I'm so fat that any positive changes in habit will result in some weight loss?
Breaking it into 7lb chunks is sensible. I need to lose 60lb Sad. That's how much I've put on in the last 8 years. I won't even be thin if I do lose that much. I'm aiming to do it in a year.

You can do it Green Any ideas for a 1st treat?

You're right, any change will be positive and healthy x

Greenrabbit · 26/09/2017 12:03

I don't know Pom. Im always buying myself stuff!

Have you bought much recently?

OP posts:
Pomegranatepompom · 26/09/2017 12:42

A couple of things, I got a coat in the boden sale but now wish I'd held out as I like the Navy pea coat in M&S might get it anyway
I also got a really nice scarf which I feel a bit guilty about and some sandals in the sale (Timberland £25 each and a pair from Ugg which were £45).
I'd like a new work bag.

Other than that - no clothes until I lose a stone !
I did get a touch éclat highlighter thingy and really like it (only use under eyes). I think I want an urban decay palette.

Any thoughts re advent calendars?
What have you bought recently? Have you decided on a dress yet?

Greenrabbit · 26/09/2017 13:23

Oh the wedding has been and gone! It was a lovely day.
I ended up with this dress ( in the mayflower print) and these shoes
I looked enormous, I'm really ashamed of myself.

I bought some bigger jeans (that's how fat I've got!). Some exercise leggings and a fleece jacket from Sainsbury's. Oh and a mans jumper, I really wanted a green v neck but could see any. That's also Sainsbury's.

I might get the M&S calendar, although the Liberty one looks good too (maybe too speedy to justify). I still have too many toiletries, I'm slowly working my way through them all and trying to resist buying any more.

OP posts:
Pomegranatepompom · 26/09/2017 17:49

That dress is gorgeous green I bet you looked lovely.

DH is hoping to get me the liberty calendar, I'll probably also get the M&S one. Ive almost used everything from last year up.
I could post the things I won't use, in case anyone wants them?

Racheyg · 26/09/2017 21:26

green that dress is stunning. Don't be hard on yourself, I bet you looked stunning.

Wow all your purchases sound amazing. I haven't brought much, apart from a pair of rag and bone jeans

www.rag-bone.com/womens/jeans/skinny-1/high-rise-skinny-W1532I769NIH.html?cgid=women-jean-skinny&categoryfrom=women#start=10

I brought a smaller (very) size. They are my thinspirstion jeans I want to fit into them by nxt spring

Racheyg · 27/09/2017 08:51

How does the 5:2 work, do I only eat 500 cals 2 days then the other 5 days normal cal? Say 1300?

I think I may try this after taking some of your advice pom

I will do Thursdays and Tuesdays

Greenrabbit · 27/09/2017 10:39

Yes, that's basically what it is Rachey. This is the website thefastdiet.co.uk
You can work out the exact amount of calories if you want to.

The jeans look good.

Which Urban decay palette are you looking at Pom? I have one of the Naked basics, it's good. I also have Naked one, but never use it for some reason.
I like the look of the new Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow palette, but I really don't need it.

I'm going to sort out all of my toiletries too. We could swap! I have many mascaras.

Day 3 of getting thin. Had a terrible headache last night, almost went to raid the cupboards for some carbs. It was 11pm so instead I drank more water and went to bed.
I think my 'plan' is just to stay away from carbs, no snacking. One bottle of wine per week. I'm going to start exercising too.

Has anyone started a Christmas shopping? I've ordered a couple of things from the Argos 3 for 2 today. I'm trying to be strict with myself as I always buy the DC too much and they really don't need it. I just get over excited!

OP posts:
Racheyg · 27/09/2017 17:12

green well done on day 3, apparently that's the hardest as the adrenaline stops and cravings and hunger kick in.

I spent over £150 on make up this month which I'm kicking myself at. So no new make up for a while for me.

This is my plan for tomorrow

Day 1 of 5:2
Large black coffee
2x boiled medium eggs 120 cals
Oxo beef stock as a drink 9 cals
More black coffee

Ok what the hell can I eat for dinner?

Racheyg · 27/09/2017 17:15

No Christmas shopping yet.

We have so much going on I can begin to think about xmas. Blush the kids already have so much I'm gonna reign it in this years as well green although my parents are paying for us to go to Butlins in between xmas and New Years so that's our presents from them

Pomegranatepompom · 27/09/2017 21:05

Well done on day 3 Green and super well done on resisting carbs,
I was thinking of basics 2 or the smokey one. I'll list my toiletries on Friday, I'm more than happy to post if anyone wants any!

Good start to 5:2 rachey dinner, I normally stir fry, you could have soup, chicken breast with salad? I'm not managing strict fast days at the mo, might try next week. I've been aiming for 3x 1000 cal days and the remainder around 1500. have had 2 days off though due to social things.

No shopping yet here either, I'm also going to reign myself in, the have and will get far too much stuff. I'm still trying to declutter (toys and clothes/shoes). I'm trying to follows the Konmari method, but it's hard to be so strict.

Pomegranatepompom · 27/09/2017 21:28

Green Selfridges beauty calendar looks good too.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 27/09/2017 22:04

Good evening,

Just crawling out of my sick bed to post. My lovely DS2 brought home a terrible virus from school and it has knocked me flat. I was so unwell and the tiredness and nausea is still lingering. And I'm still bloody fat

How is your daughter settling in Green?

All your purchases look lovely. I'm very jealous of all of your cosmetics, I bought my mascara in Lidl Blush

I'm going back to read the thread properly, I just had a quick look through it. I hope everyone's well.

Racheyg · 27/09/2017 22:22

Hahahaha the jeans arrived. So beautiful. And so small. I'm not sure if I would ever fit in them. sol welcome back. Sorry to hear you and ds haven't been well.

Don't feel jealous about my purchases I really shouldn't have gone so crazy and I feel very guilty.

Racheyg · 28/09/2017 09:55

Morning all,

Day 1 fast
2x black coffee
Just heading to the gym for a circuit class.

Dcs are really misbehaving at the mo and oh is in a bad mood because of them. Sad

I'm going to keep posting through out the day to keep me sane and away from food

Greenrabbit · 28/09/2017 10:20

Morning.

Are you keeping the jeans Rachey?
I hope your fast day goes well. I would also suggest stirfry/ soup. Sometimes ready meals are easier. Sainsbury's do some nice high protein soups and meals.
Enjoy the gym.

Sorry you are so unwell Sol. I'm dreading the start of all the sickness bugs. Hope it's over soon.
DD seems to be settling in well, thank you.
I've heard good things about Lidl's cosmetics! When I sort my stuff out I will send you a parcel. I'm really trying to get serious about decluttering!

I'm also doing toys/shoes/clothes. Just the DC at the moment. Did DD2's yesterday, she has about 20 pairs of leggings! I'm terrible for holding onto all of DD1's old stuff for DD2 but it's ridiculous at the moment. DD2 is tiny so has clothes from 2 years ago that still fit!
Once I get rid of this lot it won't be so bad. DD1 doesn't get so much now.

Not sure where to start with toys. They play with most things regularly.

Day 4 of the diet. I'm feeling more prepared now.
I have an M&S salad for lunch (the one with hummus and grains/nuts). For dinner I'm having a large salad with M&S skinny chicken burger (no bun).
Breakfast was 2 coffees with almond milk.

I haven't weighed myself yet. I think I look less bloated.

Hope everyone has a good day.

OP posts:
Racheyg · 29/09/2017 06:16

green that's great about feeling more prepared your food sounds delish. I admire you for all your de cluttering.

Poor ds2 lives in hand me downs. I'm quite good a getting rid of clothes it's toys I hate parting with.

The gym was good. I really enjoy exercise (strange as it sounds) I weighed myself and I'm 10st 4lbs. Ideal be in 9st bracket for xmas but it's doubtful

Yesterday didn't really go that well. I lasted till 15.00 then had a 1x egg with egg white and mushroom omelette and half fat cheese I estimate about 230 cals. Dinner was Heinz chicken soup which was 208 cals but I also ate 3 x rice cakes with marmite and 3 rice teas Blush

Pomegranatepompom · 29/09/2017 14:46

Seriously Rachey that's a good eating day. I do think we sometimes we're too hard on ourselves.

Sorry you've been ill Sol and how miserable to be ill and not lose weight ! Hope you are feeling better.

Well done Green on your progress. When are you weighing in?

Went shopping today, no clothes but got a few Christmas things.

Pomegranatepompom · 29/09/2017 14:54

A few toiletries on offer !

(Not so) New Mums: Hand holding while we work on new bodies.
Pomegranatepompom · 29/09/2017 15:02

And we are going to need a new thread soon [shocked]

Greenrabbit · 30/09/2017 10:13

Morning everyone.

I find fasting difficult Rachey, so I think that you did pretty well. I'm trying to build up some courage to go to the gym. I also think you are too hard on yourself.

Decluttering is not going that well. I still need to take the unwanted stuff to the charity shop. Then I have to tackle my own clothes which will be difficult.

I also hate getting rid of toys. I feel so guilty

I weighed myself yesterday. I was 6lb lighter (yay!). Then I did my normal Friday trick of having pizza and wine, but less than normal. I think I still did well as I'd only had some chicken and soup for lunch and I also avoided cakes at DDs coffee morning.

I need to be better prepared for a weekend really. I was getting stressed out yesterday because of DD2.

I will weigh in again next Friday. I'll try to be sensible for the rest of the weekend. I'm going to start with some exercise next week and just continue with not eating rubbish.

I'll pass on the toiletries Pom. I'm sure I have at least 2 of those items in my own stash! The Timefiller is supposed to be nice?

I've ordered a few more toys from Argos this morning.

I'm also thinking about a red jumper in the Boden sale.

Racheyg · 30/09/2017 13:26

Whoop whoop green 6lbs is amazing xx

Greenrabbit · 30/09/2017 15:22

Thanks Rachel. Just realised it's 10% of the amount I have to lose.
If only I could do that every week, I'd be thin for Christmas! Grin
