I came on to post the same Rachey (but I would actually die in a spinning class, so well done for doing that!)

Have you got a recipe for the chilli please?

School holidays have broken me! The house is a disgrace. I'm going to tidy this morning.

This afternoon will be meal planning and online food shopping. I cannot starve myself anymore.
There is no way I will look much thinner for this wedding. However I do believe I can lose a stone in the next 5 weeks.
I'm not going to punish myself with a 'diet'. It's just going to be exercise (which I do shamefully little of) and sensible choices.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Afternoon all,
Just a quick post to confess my sins. I have eaten so many carbs it should be a crime. Tomorrow I will start afresh avoid all complex carbs.

I can't go to the gym this week (hair and other appointments) which is going to have s huge knock on effect. But I will try and lose this weight I have put back on over the last few weeks.

green will post recipe later xx

Pomegranatepompom · 15/08/2017 07:51

I'm broken and fat......
I hope I can come up with a miraculous plan !

Greenrabbit · 15/08/2017 11:57

'Broken' is how I'm describing myself too.

A few days of some pampering would do wonders.
DH is working all hours. I have no friends.
The DC are being good, but the days are very long.

An you tell that I'm feeling sorry for myself!

OP posts:
Racheyg · 16/08/2017 21:48

green and pom I'm sorry to hear your both feeling broken. It's awful feeling so low.

green have you got a dress for your db wedding? What does your dh? Is he working abroad or just long hours?

pom is there anything you can work towards? We can all work together to motivate each other to get out of this circle.

sol how are you getting on?

I'm trying to remain positive but I have really let myself go. My dress for my friends wedding is slightly tight. But I have been enjoying myself, I can't lie I've enjoyed not dieting this month. I have decided to really get my head down this will start on Monday 4th September. As I'm out for lots of cocktails on 2nd September and don't want to limit myself Grin

Greenrabbit · 17/08/2017 12:15

Hi Rachey.

I'll put some dress pictures up later. I need help deciding (because I'm so fat!)

DH is a company director. They need to sort the HR side of things out so he can start having time off in the summer. He's working loads to cover people (it's manufacturing so they have to get parts made).
He works long hours anyway, but he's been doing weekends too. Then he'll get run down because he's exhausted.

You have the same logic as me regarding the cocktails! I'm far too 'all or nothing'!

I'm trying to be more positive today.
Diet obviously not going well (does it ever?)
Trying to have healthy food days over the weekend, then it's going to have to be an emergency situation for a month (before wedding)

OP posts:
Pomegranatepompom · 17/08/2017 21:01

Oh yes show us some pics Green Sorry to hear your DH is having to work so much. Glad you feel more positive. I think you could do quite a bit in a month. Don't mean to sounds cliched but any groups you can do to meet people?

Good plan re 4th Sept Rachey Hair and nails will make you feel good and I'm sure you look fab anyway.
I'm not really feeling down, just annoyed Ive out on so much wight and still can't stop eating !
We're away in 9 days time for a week, I can't see much happening for me before 4th Sept either.... Surely, when the DC start school, we'll have more time and the weight will miraculously fall off?!
How are you Sol ?

Greenrabbit · 17/08/2017 21:29

Hi again. I hope you are going somewhere lovely Pom.

I'm sure we will all look fabulous by Christmas with the child free time!

I was thinking about groups, but more so I had an interest. I'll see, I do like my own company most of the time.

Dresses - I own this in pink and green

green i love the green dress. its such a beautiful colour. The style also looks flattering. I do like the asos dress, but not as much as the green, what shoes were you thinking?

Oh pom where are you off to? all four of you going or just you and DH?
Im glad your not feeling too down. Shall we all start fresh on Monday 6th September?

Pomegranatepompom · 17/08/2017 21:49

I like them all, I do like the sparkly one a lot. I think it looks really glam.

Just Cornwall, the 4 of us - that reminds me, I quite fancy getting a cashmere hoody! Should hide my tum....

Racheyg · 17/08/2017 21:52

green here is my mixed bean chilli ( i make a large portion and freeze)
2 large onions
2 peppers
2 chilli's
4 garlic gloves
fry off for 10 mins on low heat
add 2 tins of chopped toms, 2 table spoons of tom puree and 3 beef oxo cubes and 1 table spoon of chilli powder. Cook till the sauce is hot and add the beans 3 types and 1 tin of each and lentils and simmer for 30 mins.
had it again tonight and was delish :)

Greenrabbit · 17/08/2017 21:55

Thanks Rachey. The green one is my favourite too.
But the children are flower girls wearing a pale pink/rose gold so I'm not sure if the pink might go better?

Struggling with shoes. I hurt my foot when I was pregnant and it swelled up the other month after wearing heels Sad (I'm wearing fitflops most days, they seem to have sorted it out)
I quite like these www.asos.com/asos/asos-sandcastle-wide-fit-slingback-pointed-heels/prd/7674757?CTARef=Saved%20Items%20Image

I could always put some flats in a bag.

Plus I need a bag

OP posts:
Pomegranatepompom · 17/08/2017 21:57

Maybe the pink and get the sparkly one for a night out with your DH.
Love those shoes.

Greenrabbit · 17/08/2017 22:04

Thanks Pom, I've got a few weeks to decide. Plus I need to lose a stone for the first 2 to fit.
I do like the sparkle on it. I think the brides family will be very glamorous.
I keep thinking that I'm too fat to wear anything nice.

I'm also really annoyed at how much I've put on. I saw a picture from last spring (almost 2.5 stone lighter). I remember thinking I was looking huge that day. I didn't, I'm such a fool.

Cornwall sounds lovely. You definitely should get the hoody. Do Boden still do the cashmere ones?

Thanks for the recipe Rachey. I'm trying to stock up the freezer so that will be really useful.
When is your friends wedding?

Sorry again for being a misery.

OP posts:
Greenrabbit · 17/08/2017 22:05

Oh I like that bag.

Racheyg · 17/08/2017 22:19

pom have you tried the white company? they do quite nice hoodies. I have a grey hoodied cardi from there. Lots of people are going to cornwall this year. Im hoping the weather holds out for you.

yes, i agree then the pink is a better option, I bet your girls will look so pretty as flower girls.

my friends wedding is next thursday. Im hoping the dress isnt to uncomfortable. Ive just had my hair coloured back to brown. I look very different, not sure if i look older?

i brought a new denim dress today from sainsburys as they have 25% off. well chuffed.

Greenrabbit · 17/08/2017 22:46

I ordered some clothes from Sainsbury when I was buying uniform. They have some lovely stuff.

Might you need to change makeup slightly if you've gone darker? I think it can be draining at times.
Sainsbury's do lots of shapewear, that might help with the dress. Is it the pink and turquoise one?

OP posts:
Racheyg · 22/08/2017 08:50

Morning all,
I hope you all had a good weekend?

green you are right about the make up. I'm having to go slightly darker. My poor hoola is taking a battering. What did you get from Sainsbury's? How are things with you?

pom I hope your having a good break away in Cornwall. (That's if your there yet)

sol how are you getting on?

My dress still fits thank god. It's s little tight but tbh I don't eat much at weddings, too busy drinking and dancing Grin

Greenrabbit · 23/08/2017 21:29

Have a great time at the wedding Rachey.

Racheyg · 24/08/2017 08:06

Thanks green I have had a spray tan and just painted my nails. I love the feeling a tan gives you.
Grin

SolitudeSometimesIs · 25/08/2017 07:05

Morning all.

Sorry I was away, we went on a last minute break, it was absolutely fab and I feel really regenerated and ready to get my shit together. Of course I ate like an absolute piglet while we were away, we ate out for pretty much every meal, and there was sooo much wine...

All the clothes linked are gorgeous, I need some money (and a better figure) so I can wear all the lovely pieces you guys link. And there's no Sainsburys here which is crap, as they always have lovely stuff in them.

Greenrabbit · 01/09/2017 23:18

I think I have a plan now.

Sounds like a good holiday Sol. I'm so sad about your lack of Sainsbury's though.

How was the wedding Rachey?. I've never had a spray tan before. I do have a nail appointment booked before the wedding.

Have you had a good holiday Pom?

I have yet another dress option for the wedding. It arrived today, but I couldn't manage to do the zips by myself so I'm not sure if it's an option yet.
Still kicking myself for getting so fat. Too late now.

OP posts:
SolitudeSometimesIs · 03/09/2017 10:44

Can you invest in some good underwear that will hold you in Green? Or do Exante for a day or two prior to the wedding to lose some water weight? And what's your plan?

I'm back to work and the kids are back to school so it's full on here at the moment, on the plus side I lost 2lbs last week due to not sitting on my arse and eating - so I'm a happy woman. My day starts at 6.30am now so there's no more wine in the evenings and I'm having proper dinners instead of snacking all day long. So that's kind of my plan for now, less booze (Fri and Sat nights only), better meals, more fruit and veg and keeping moving.

How is everyone else getting on?

What's the weather like where you all are? It's starting to cool down here and there's definitely an Autumn chill most days. This is probably my favourite time of year, mostly because I get to hide my figure in snug jumpers and boots, and also because I eat better. I love warm food - I have learned that salad and me are never going to be compatible - so I made up a meal plan of lovely curries, homemade soups and pasta dishes. Does anyone have any good recipes? I'm vegetarian but can substitute quorn for meat.

I need to go and do some housework while the kids are at the park, but I'm finding motivation is lacking. I've spent the last hour looking up Christmas present ideas!
