I have yoyoed with the same stone since the beginning of last year. Getting fed up now but need some motivation to stick with it. Anyone else in the same boat? I'm so near yet so far!

Will be weighing in tomorrow and posting all food eaten. Feel free to join me!

Hmm good today according to mfp was one slice of toast and honey for breakfast, a slice of toast, some cheese, a packet of skips and a Mary berry sausage roll (very small) for lunch and salmon with carrots and broccoli for dinner. Sadly there were also 2 macaroons, three custard creams and three chocolate hobnobs. Oh and I just ate two marshmallows just before bed - why?!?!?

If I could strip out even most of the biscuits I'd be fine. I could probably even leave in one of the biscuit sittings. But who needs that many in a day? I'm cross with myself

NewYearNewNickname · 22/02/2016 22:46

Hi all, can I join too please. I have been calorie counting using mfp and exercising more since the start of Jan and have gone down from 10st 11lbs (my heaviest non pregnant weight) to 10st 2lbs last week. My original goal was to get under 10st but I also have a pair of trousers that I want to be able to comfortably get into.
Weekends are always the hardest for me and I definitely need to exercise too as otherwise the weight loss would be virtually non existent but I guess when it comes down to that last bit that is always going to be the case.

BloodyDogHairs · 22/02/2016 22:58

I've failed again today Sad I did great up until 7pm then it all went downhill....cheese, mini sausage rolls, muffins.

I'm considering joining Weight Watchers so I know if I'm bad then I need to face the WW leader telling me I've gained or I might post a weekly photo of my scales on here and save myself a fortune Grin

Millliii · 22/02/2016 23:38

Im doing good. Yesterday I had sausage, bacon, toms and mushrooms in olive oil and a fried egg. Dinner was takeaway and I had tandoori king prawns and tikka chicken pieces with salad. I also had 2 paleo cashew butter cookies. Lots of water.

Today> breakfast was nut, mixed seed, coconut, almond flour with dates and banana and coconut milk.

Dinner was chicken in lemon and coconut milk with coriander leaf with kale, carrots with the sacue dribbled over.

Weight coming down slowly but surely.

:)

Porridge for breakfast but I'm in prime danger zone. Two big boys dropped off at school and preschool and littlest askeep = a raid on the biscuit tin. But ha not today!

fadingblonde1 · 23/02/2016 10:43

Failed again yesterday, I'd only had about 300 cals up to 4pm but I started picking at carby/sugary things and had far too much. I'm going to try to eat around 600 cals today - I've been thinking about the 5/2 diet - if anything just to have a few more calories available to eat at the weekend.

I've been reading through some other threads and one thing I've noticed is posters diets working really well until they are only half a stone to a stone from where they want to be and then they stall. This is something I've always found, when I've got to a size I'm happy with it's been through not eating due to stress/trauma not sensible eating.

twobambinos · 23/02/2016 10:52

Facing blonde I lose a few pounds and then I become happyish and then I relax and put it back on so I'm qlways the half stone or stone away

fadingblonde1 · 23/02/2016 12:03

That's me as well, it's so frustrating as I'm very close to where I want to be.

Twinklestar2 · 23/02/2016 13:36

I totally agree - we are so near yet so far!

Well done on the weight losses and the good days.

To the bad days - put them behind u and start again.

I had a really good day yesterday, I didn't feel hungry once which is a revelation for me. I'm cutting bread, rice, potatoes and pasta.

Keep posting people Smile

Hello everyone,

I need to join you guys. I wore some jeans yesterday that used to be too big - now it feels like I'm wearing leggings under them! Ugh.

Think I'm around 10.5 stone or something. I'm 5'5.

I am going to reduce carbs, too much bread has been sneaking in and rice, tortillas, cookies. It needs to stop!

Luckily I don't drink which is a calorie saver.

Not the best start today as had a croissant for second breakfast (ahem) but will make a red Thai chicken curry tonight for dinner with sweet pot instead of rice.

Menu plan will be:

Eggs/yogurt/fruit/cottage cheese for brekkie

Meat with veg, soup (work in a restaurant, so it's hard to choose exactly what I want)

Stews/curries with lentils not rice and naan/ roast meat and veg for suppers.

Snacks:

Apple sauce
Hard boiled eggs
Peanut butter (small amount)
Fruit
Veg and hummus
Cottage cheese

This weight has gotta come off! Grr.

Twinklestar2 · 23/02/2016 19:08

Welcome old Smile

I have to confess to eating 3 biscuits and half a muffin but I think I have enough Cals for them. Still no excuse though.

oldlaundbooth · 23/02/2016 19:14

Thanks Twinkle.

All these bits of calories add up though - I made a full batch of cookies for my birthday last week, so silly really, I should have just made half a batch, me and DH ate them all, so I had 6 cookies! They were good, though!

I'm glad I've got my head in gear now though, rather than 3 stones down the road.

hinkyhonk · 23/02/2016 19:23

Aiming for 1200 calories today even though I had two digestives and a mini twix. A well planned portion size dinner of scampi and roasted veg will bring me in on target.

Also managed to do level 1 of 30 day shred with my 4 and 6 year old boys cheerleading. I also might have made myself a sticker chart to make sure I do the full 30 days Blush

NewYearNewNickname · 23/02/2016 22:01

Love the idea of a sticker chart hinkyhonk Grin
Really good day today, between 1200 & 1250 cals eaten plus I did a body attack class followed by 30 lengths of the pool so a really good overall calorie deficit.

I have lacked motivation for that stone for the last couple of years, safe in the knowledge that my BMI was within 'healthy' (albeit at the very top end of that) but this year I have really decided to just get on and do it. I am actually so chuffed with myself for sticking to sensible eating and exercise this year. I know I am the fittest I have ever been right now and I'm finding that really motivating. I can't wait until Friday to weigh myself, hopefully I won't be disappointed!!!

Twinklestar2 · 23/02/2016 22:36

Well done both, especially newyear on the exercise!

I buckled and ate 2 chocolate digestives. In my defense, I've rangled two small bits to the dentist and I'm facing solo dinner bath and bed for all three little chaps. I needed something to limp through to bedtime....

hinkyhonk · 24/02/2016 17:19

Sorry that should be two small boys at the dentist.

MinnieLatte · 24/02/2016 19:05

Lost 3lb this week!! Still feeling very determined, i had a small pork steak & loads of veg for dinner tonight but reisisted the Yorkshire puddings I'd cooked for the DCs!
I do feel like I could eat something sweet now though, I need to keep the willpower going! Perhaps not a good idea to watch the bake off later!

twobambinos · 24/02/2016 21:46

Sticker chart sounds like a fab idea well done hinky.
Well done on the 3lbs minnie thats a brilliant loss.
Long day today and I am indulging in some goodies ad I type. I did do a 5km run and probably about 3km walk pushing dd in the buggy and have a bit of exercise lined up for tomorrow so I think the cake bar and can of coke will be OK hopefully tomorrow eating will be a bill cleaner.

Twinklestar2 · 24/02/2016 23:01

I've done ok so far this week but still not happy with the amount of sweet stuff I'm eating. Must break that habit.

oldlaundbooth · 25/02/2016 15:52

Just checking in with everyone.

I'm not doing too badly, still not weighed myself, will do so tomorrow morning.

Not a bad day yesterday, porridge, boiled egg and apple as a snack, chicken curry and cauliflower and sweetcorn bake for lunch, chill and salad for tea, no rice. So not too bad on the crap carb count.

Off work today, been out for breakfast with DH, not the best, toasted baguette, small portion fried potatoes, beans, fruit, few bites of omelette, couldn't finish it, I was full. Will have soup and salad for the rest of the day.

Need to start using MFP again, it really makes me accountable!

How's everyone doing?

fadingblonde1 · 25/02/2016 16:18

Managed to only eat about 600 cals on tuesday but had about 1,400 yesterday, possibly more. I went out for lunch today and selected a 500 meal from the menu which wasn't that nice so i didn't eat it all but ended up having two slices of garlic bread with it! If I'm strict for the rest of the day it hopefully won't have done too much damage.

I'm going for a meal tomorrow night so I don't expect to lose any weight this week, if I maintain I'll be happy. I haven't eaten any chocolates or crisps so I think I'm getting into some good habits. For the next few weeks I have nothing planned where I won't be in control of exactly what I'm eating so I hope I can shift a few pounds then. Unfortunately I have to count every calorie if I want to lose weight, it quite soul destroying.
