I have yoyoed with the same stone since the beginning of last year. Getting fed up now but need some motivation to stick with it. Anyone else in the same boat? I'm so near yet so far!

Will be weighing in tomorrow and posting all food eaten. Feel free to join me!

Well done madamebutterfly :)

Good luck with level 2 hinky. I did the shred years ago and it was when I started level 2 that I really noticed some changes - and lost a few pounds without even trying!

hinkyhonk · 20/05/2016 17:05

I'm 5 2 so a bit higher on the bmi at this weight. Trying to get to under 9st as a first target and 8st 10 as my final target. Ds2 asked when my tummy was going to go down after having DS3. Ahem ds3 is 6m so anytime now hopefully.

Level 2 was very heavy on the arms and shoulders so I remember now why I haven't made it all the way through yet. I found level 1 fairly easy so hopefully now I'm hitting some harder stuff I'll see more results.

I've been badly sleep deprived this week which I'm sure is also why I haven't list as much as I feel I should. It must make the body go into survival mode. Hopefully I'll get some more sleep this week and will have more energy and willpower to resist snacks

AuntieStella · 21/05/2016 15:03

I think I've whooshed Grin !

Actually, it's something I've noticed before, but just called it 'going in fits and starts' - never knew a term had been coined for it!

Because I've lost 4lbs this week. Which sounds a heck of a lot, but if you consider that was after 10 days of apparent non-loss still means a pound and a bit a week.

lougle · 22/05/2016 22:02

Congratulations Auntie Stella Smile

I put on a lb today after going to a birthday tea and having coffee and walnut cake and a clotted cream scone. But it was tasty and I've been very disciplined over the last two months.

hinkyhonk · 23/05/2016 10:59

I'm a lb down after being static for a week and feeling very grumpy about it. Feel better today and shredded twice over the weekend but remembered why I disliked level 2 on the shred. It is very heavy on the arms and shoulders. Still I will crack on with it. I can only imagine what level 3 is like. Off to London for a hospital appt with ds3 so unlikely to be able to eat very well and already half an hour late as the train was delayed. Must not stuff my face to compensate.

thebigmummabear · 23/05/2016 19:07

Can i join you? I have exactly a stone to lose too! Am currently 9 stone 12 and would like to be 8 stone 12? Its so hard though i absolutely love food. I am starting slim fast tomorrow and am hoping to lose 2lb a week.

I'm 63.2kg now.

anothermadamebutterfly · 25/05/2016 21:27

hi bigmummabear good to have some new names on the thread! lougle you are doing amazingly well, twinkle good luck for when you weigh yourself.

I had a scales failure again this week, weighed myself on Monday and seemed to have put on 2lbs, tried again yesterday morning and had put on 3lbs. Did the usual trick of jiggling them a bit but it didn't work, so changed the batteries this morning and luckily that did, back to the same as last week, 9 stone 13. I think I need some new scales, surely they should not be getting though batteries at this rate?

hinky the shred sounds a bit scary, although I like the idea of something you can daily do at home. The last few weeks I have started exercising again regularly, I have been cycling to work every day, and running three times a week, and trying to get to the gym once or twice a week (although the gym is a bit lazy as I go with some friends and we tend to just use it as an excuse to catch up).

I am now wishing along another whoosh.

anothermadamebutterfly · 25/05/2016 21:27

oh, auntiestella well done too!!

hinkyhonk · 26/05/2016 02:04

madame it's not too bad really once you get into the swing of it. With 3 children under the age of 7 it is difficult to do any other exercise regularly. The before and after Horus online look impressive too. It's better than doing nothing that is for sure which is my other option.

lougle · 26/05/2016 07:37

So today I have officially lost 1 stone! I was 10st 12lb and I'm now 9st 12lb, as I was 63kg at weigh in this morning. I still need to lose a few kgs but I'm encouraged!

Twinklestar2 · 26/05/2016 17:32

Yaay well done Lougie how long did that take you?

lougle · 26/05/2016 18:49

Thanks! 8.5 weeks Smile

Pollyputhtekettleon · 27/05/2016 07:37

I've be using MFP for a week and have no difference in weight despite being really hungry every day! Is this the way it works or do I need to look at tweaking something? Not sure what to expect after only 1 week.

Twinklestar2 · 27/05/2016 08:41

That is amazin Lougle, well done!

I lost another 1lb.

Feeling happy cause I'm in the lower half of the 10s now. Smile

Congrats lougle that's fantastic news.
Well done hinky auntie on your losses and everyone else too.

Welcome mummybear.

I weighed this morning and back up to 9St 8 so I really am a yoyo dieter. I got my period today too so maybe that has something to do with the gain.

I'm going to try count calories again for a while as I find that really keeps me in check and have done 30 minutes exercise on the bike today as that was all I could manage feel a bit week and sluggish so it's better than nothing I guess.
Will try get a 10km run in over the weekend and I don't see any alcohol in the plans for this weekend so hopefully I'll get back on track scales wise by next week.
Have a wedding in 3 weeks time Oh how I would love to lose the 8 lbs by then Grinbut even 3 or 4 would be great so here is hoping

lougle · 27/05/2016 23:21

Hmm...went out to a leaving do tonight. May well have gained half of that stone back!!

AuntieStella · 30/05/2016 10:08

Just remember the lag, lougle! Lean rations for a couple of days and you'll be fine (I hope)

I celebrated my whoosh with an ill-advised tryst with a tube of Pringles (especially sordid as they're not as nice as they were) but have otherwise been normal this week.

And am a further 1lb down Grin

I've been clothes shopping ahead of the summer hols, and even though I know that decades of vanity sizing has eased the numbers close to meaningless, it did feel good to be a 10 or 12 on the lower half and 12 to 14 on top.

lougle · 30/05/2016 11:36

All true!

hinkyhonk · 02/06/2016 13:57

Day 1 of level 3 of the shred. Hmmm that is pretty tricky stuff! Stats not looking to be massively different but I feel much better and I'm sure my core is far stronger. Down to 9st 2.6 today which includes some unfortunate consumption of a gu pudding which are over 400 cals each 😮 Frightening! My fitness has massively improved though and I ran for 30 mins with the boys on their bikes and wasn't out of breath. It felt great. So it's all worth it.

twobambinos · 02/06/2016 15:36

Well done hinky that's is great going

AuntieStella · 02/06/2016 16:36

I've looked at The Shred but have never actually done it.

Don't they say that even just watching activity provokes some sort of useful toning response in the body? Less than exercise, obviously, but more than just looking at sloths.

hinkyhonk · 02/06/2016 21:01

It all counts stella I'm amazed ice got this far to be honest. But I feel stronger and fitter even if I don't look it and the endorphins after are really good for improving the mood. Having been pregnant or postnatal for over a year it felt so good to be able to run with my bigger boys and they loved it. Usually they always ask for my husband to do that kind of stuff with them but they wanted me to keep on running with them. Plus it gave DH a chance to hang out with the baby which he doesn't often get to do. Win, win, win.
