I have yoyoed with the same stone since the beginning of last year. Getting fed up now but need some motivation to stick with it. Anyone else in the same boat? I'm so near yet so far!

Will be weighing in tomorrow and posting all food eaten. Feel free to join me!

That sounds nice!

I've officially been dieting for one month today.
I weighed this morning...65.1kg! I've lost exactly 1kg (2.2lbs) in the last week and 4.2kg (9.25lbs) in the last month. I've dropped from 69.3kg (10st 12lbs 11oz) to 65.1kg (10st 3lbs 8oz).

anothermadamebutterfly · 28/04/2016 08:29

OK, I got on the scales: 10 stone 1, which means 2 lbs down since I last weighed myself (I think about two weeks ago) and just 2 lbs to go to reach my first target of 9 stone 13. Total loss of 10-12 lbs since I began about two months ago. Really pleased, and really optimistic about reaching my first target.

I can only second all the advice that lougle gave, although I suspect I have lost at a much slower rate than she has - I have eaten everything, just much less of it all, and tried to have fewer carbs.

Also, and this could sound silly, but it has been really important thing for me: positive thinking and long-term planning, what I mean is, if you have a bad evening/day/week, not giving up, but just seeing the next morning as a new start to carry on with good intentions. It is very easy to get into that mode of what's the point now as I have ruined it all, if that makes sense.

I am away visiting family this weekend, have a good bank holiday all of you!

A good day for me yesterday Smile

Weigh in tongues, expecting a gain but will take it on the chin and move on.

I'm another lb down but fell off the wagon today with an exhausting day wrangling three grumpy tired sons. Tomorrow I'll get back on the wagon though.

On the time lag between eating and impact on scale I think it is 4 days for me. I weigh nearly every day and I started my successful run on s Friday and saw a difference on the scale by the following Tuesday. Which means I've got three days of good eating banked before today's disaster hits the scales.

lougle · 28/04/2016 19:44

I've started playing a stupid fun game. I with myself each night and see if I can predict what the scales will say the next morning Grin

A surprise STS tonight Smile

Well don't lougle madame and hinky those are some very impressive losses. I'm down 3/4 of a pound since last weigh in so I'm 9St 7 3/4 now. Slow but at least it's going he right direction. Have been doing a bit of exercise every day and drinking 2 litre of water every day this week so I'm hoping that even though the weight loss is slow that I might be toning up a bit. Have a wedding two weeks tomorrow and would really love to have 4 lbs gone by then as I feel the dress is a bit too fitted at the moment. I know 4 lbs is alot given the rate at which I have been losing but I'll try my best anyway

Well done on your sts Twinkle. Keep up the good work

Checking in...now 64.7kg. I'm on nights and it's been really interesting to see what sleep does to weight. I weighed first thing in the morning (so my new 'night') and was 65.8 yesterday, then when I awoke from my sleep in the afternoon I was 65kg. It's fascinating that the same effect happens even though the time of day has changed.

My total loss is 4.6kg now.

fadingblonde1 · 02/05/2016 12:10

I haven't done well at all the past week and I'm a pound up again. I'm getting nowhere fast at this rate. I'm really worried that now I'm redundant I'm just going to sit all day eating, I need to find stuff to fill my day. Years ago when I left university i kind of sank into a depression and gained about a stone before I found a job so i know I must get a grip on this. I only want to lose 7 pounds, I should be able to do this for seven weeks.

I might try to get weighed more often, I think once I'm eating badly I avoid the scales. I found some slimming world books that I bought about 15 years ago and barely broke the spine of, I'll have a look through them later.

Well done everyone on all the losses, at least I know it can be done :)

AuntieStella · 02/05/2016 13:19

I am a further lb down, and have only one more to go to the target of 1 stone off!

It'll have taken a smidge over 2 months. That's assuming that I get there in the coming days, as I've had a bit of a chaotic week and the "lag" might get me yet (only one day over 1,400 though, and all others at 1,200 or a little below).

AuntieStella · 02/05/2016 13:37

Current weight gives me a BMI of 23.5.

I'm on the cusp of setting myself a new target, which will lead to BMI of 22.2

Twinklestar2 · 02/05/2016 18:37

Auntie that's amazing and proof of what can be achieved if you stick with it!!

I had 900 calories yesterday and did Jillian's No More Trouble Zones dvd. It's more strength training than cardio. Got weighed today and I've gone up by 0.8 pounds! Hope it's just my muscles retaining water after exercising and it will be gone tomorrow.

readyforsunshine · 04/05/2016 15:06

Hi all, back from my extended w/e of eating & lashings of alcohol to see you all do so well! It's certainly inspiring, got to get a grip as as back at my start weight this am. I have 5lbs ish to my first target, the good news is I haven't even wanted a drink as I think I'm actually saturated!
fading I hope the lovely weather will encourage you out & lift your spiritsSmile

fadingblonde1 · 04/05/2016 15:31

Thanks ready, I got weighed this morning and I'm half a pound down so I'd expect that was water weight. Sun's finally out here which makes it a lot easier to eat salads and fruit, so far I've stuck to my target :)

lougle · 04/05/2016 21:39

I've had my first blow out day. 500 net calories over. But I'm 1700 net calories under for the last week so I'm not fussed. I expect I'll go up to 65kg for a few days then I'll start to lose again.

anothermadamebutterfly · 05/05/2016 00:49

Not the best week, we went away for the bank holiday weekend and had a great time, but I definitely ate too much. And since coming back all the family have been ill, one after the other, work has been stressful and I have not been able to return to my previous pattern. I will give the scales a miss this week, and give myself until next week to get back to normal and maybe try again then.

Anyway, well done all you losers!

fadingblonde1 · 05/05/2016 09:56

Got weighed today and I'm supposedly two pounds down from yesterday - I'm sure I'm not really and I expect it to adjust tomorrow but it's nice to see a downward trend at last. I'll have to really focus now as once I approach the weekend I just seem to eat more, and end up back where I started on Monday...

Twinklestar2 · 05/05/2016 22:24

I lost 1.5 this week. Smile

lougle · 06/05/2016 09:17

Well done! Down to 64.5kg today!

readyforsunshine · 06/05/2016 11:23

How much have you list in total twinlke?

hinkyhonk · 06/05/2016 17:20

Relaxed a bit at the weekend and didn't write down stuff I was missing which I'm sure meant I ate more. Still I stayed the same so not too bad. Back to it this week but arguing boys is making me want to reach for the calories. It's my birthday in around 6 weeks and I'd love to be much further towards my goal by then.

Twinklestar2 · 06/05/2016 21:28

About 4.5 lbs Smile

anothermadamebutterfly · 07/05/2016 16:43

well done twinkle, lougle and fading. I managed to get back on track for the second part of the week, had boiled egg on toast for breakfast most days and made a pot of fish stew and then took some to work every day (definitely healthier than buying something at work) and had mainly salads for dinner. I will wait until next Friday to get on the scales again.

I have officially been notified that my department is being closing down, meaning redundancy is on the cards, which is sort of stressful, but on the other hand I saw the warning signs and have been expected it for ages now, so not a shock. I have an interview in a few weeks time for a new job (which would come with a slight pay rise and sounds more interesting), so good and bad this week.

Hope everybody is enjoying the sunshine this weekend!

AuntieStella · 07/05/2016 17:10

I'm a loser! I've done it! Grin

But can I stay with you lot? I'm setting myself a new target of another stone off, which would leave my BMI slap in the middle of 'healthy'.
