I have yoyoed with the same stone since the beginning of last year. Getting fed up now but need some motivation to stick with it. Anyone else in the same boat? I'm so near yet so far!

Will be weighing in tomorrow and posting all food eaten. Feel free to join me!

This is my graph since 28th March, just to encourage you. A more wobbly line you couldn't get!

Anyone out there need to lose a stone?
lougle · 12/05/2016 22:24

No, I didn't manage 30DS. I did day 1 Blush

hinkyhonk · 12/05/2016 22:24

Overall trend great though. Which app do you use?

hinkyhonk · 12/05/2016 22:25

Aha someone was losing inches on 30DS but can't remember whi

lougle · 12/05/2016 22:41

That's My Fitness Pal, hinkyhonk.

I got on the scales, and I have lost a lb, which means I am now 10 stone exactly, just one lb off my first target of less than 10 stone Smile Smile Smile. Took me about three weeks to lose this particular 1 lb, but I am delighted! Overall, I think I have lost about 10 lbs.

And I know that it is superficial and pure vanity, but I have again started liking the way I look and feel, and feel confident in general. I love the fact that I can again wear clothes that have been hidden at the back of the wardrobe. I just feel good.

I am setting myself a new and final target of 59 kg (9 stone 4). That would take me back to my weight about 8 years ago.

Well done all of you and thanks for all the encouragement and positive vibes, and have a good weekend!

lougle · 13/05/2016 09:25

Congratulations!

hinkyhonk · 13/05/2016 09:56

It's not superficial and vane. It's the whole point about feeling happier with how you are/look/feel. I'm a good way towards my target and it looks like I've lost 5lbs in the last 30 days according to my weight tracking app. I'm amazed as it doesn't feel that much day to day but it all adds up.

Twinklestar2 · 13/05/2016 11:07

That is great to hear madamebutterfly!

Well done madamebutterfly!

hinkyhonk · 13/05/2016 23:16

Oh dear Ben and Jerry's peanut butter cup ice cream...

hinkyhonk · 16/05/2016 17:51

Oh lord I've broken the thread with Ben and Kerry's ice cream....

anothermadamebutterfly · 16/05/2016 21:23

hinky you have not broken the thread! I for one have just been busy enjoying the nice weather and fantasising about Ben and Jerry's ice cream (although I am not keen on the peanut butter one).

Thanks also for putting my fears about being vain and superficial into context. I have a teen and a pre-teen, and I spend a lot of time trying to brainwash them into believing that it is inner qualities that they should strive for and that should make them happy, but then I myself get such satisfaction out of losing a few kgs, it makes me feel like a bit of a hypocrite! But at least at the moment I am a happy and lighter hypocrite Grin.

Hope everybody is having a good week.

lougle · 17/05/2016 18:00

I'm 63.6kg now so officially 10 st. Yesterday wasn't a good food day. I was on nights and had planned my food carefully but it got really busy and we didn't get breaks. So my lovely scotch broth didn't get eaten and I just had to wolf down my yoghurt. Total calories 717. Not enough by a long chalk.

I'm on night 3 of 3 tonight so by Thursday I'll be back to normal.

AuntieStella · 17/05/2016 18:10

I need spurring on.

I've pretty much stayed the same for the last 10 days. It might just be a surprise period (perimenopausal). Hope so, because MFP tracking looks OK and I don't think I've been duping myself.

fadingblonde1 · 17/05/2016 19:41

I got weighed on Friday and I've lost two pounds over two weeks. I've mostly been eating sensibly but did go out for dd2s birthday over the weekend so I'm not expecting a loss this week.

Twinklestar2 · 17/05/2016 22:24

Good to hear everyone doing well. I'm managing to stick with it. Holiday in 3 weeks is keeping me motivated.

On day 9 on 30 day shred and am very focused on completing the sodding thing. Even managed to do it today on 5 hours of broken sleep thanks to baby hink. Food going ok - I weakened and had two chocolate digestives after school as the bigger hinks were on top whiny form but stopped it there and don't blow the whole day so I'm taking that as a win.

Day 10 stars to follow in Thursday - fingers crossed for some inch loss and different numbers on the scale. I'd never heard of the whoosh effect before but will look into it.

Twinklestar2 · 18/05/2016 21:37

As soon as I say I'm doing well I end up snacking loads on crisps grrrrr Angry

twobambinos · 19/05/2016 08:13

Twinkle I'm the same as soon as I start to get places I sabotage it. I think for me it's I don't have alot to lose and so I get happy ish with my weight I relax and back to square one Grin

Twinklestar2 · 19/05/2016 22:46

Twobambinos - hence the reason I started this thread Grin

63.5kg. I got my 51% of target badge from MFP today Grin

fadingblonde1 · 20/05/2016 09:31

I've maintained this week which I'm happy about as I had a bottle of wine over the weekend, and went out for dds birthday which involved cake and ice cream. I'm hoping that if I'm sensible over this weekend it might kick start some weight loss :)

hinkyhonk · 20/05/2016 11:32

So today I'm 9st 4.6 (although have been as low as 9st 3.8 this week), waist is 74cm (minus 2cm), hips 90cm (minus 4cm), arms 27 (same measuring issue last time) and thigh 58cm (same).

Level 2 of 30ds starts now

anothermadamebutterfly · 20/05/2016 13:25

well done everybody Flowers. I have tipped over into the 9 stone range, and am now 9st 13, which means I have reached my first target of under 10 st.
Not really quite sure why as it I did not pay much attention to what I ate this week, maybe good habits have set in, or maybe the famous whoosh effect.

hinky your present weight is approx. my next, final target: 59 kgs (9 st 4), which would put me towards the middle of the healthy BMI range (it would be about 22.4). I am a bit taller than you though, about 1.62m (5.4ish). How much are you tying to lose?
