Twinklestar2 · 13/02/2016 19:03

I have yoyoed with the same stone since the beginning of last year. Getting fed up now but need some motivation to stick with it. Anyone else in the same boat? I'm so near yet so far!

Will be weighing in tomorrow and posting all food eaten. Feel free to join me!

anothermadamebutterfly sorry to hear about the likely redundancy. Is your interview for a different (non-threatened) post in the same outfit, or are you making a break for pastures new?

anothermadamebutterfly · 08/05/2016 21:39

thanks stella! The interview is for a post that would be to a new organisation and slightly upwards (in terms of salary, but also in terms of being a much more interesting role). Some of the people I would be working with I already know as I have had contact with them in my current role. It would definitely be a fantastic move for me.

Twinklestar2 · 09/05/2016 10:12

Well done Stella you have done amazingly!

Butterfly - you sound much more positive about the redundancy, so good to read.

I had a whole weekend I track!!

Me too but am stuck and have been static for a week frustrating and feeling porky which makes me want to comfort eat argh.

twobambinos · 09/05/2016 11:24

Well done Stella that is wonderful news.
Hope the interview goes well madame.

So since I last weighed in I went up and I'm back to 9St 8. Jeepers I just do not know what to say anymore. I'm in the Healthy range but only by a few pounds but I definitely have spare weight that I could do with shifting.

hinkyhonk · 09/05/2016 14:25

Right I need to shame myself into doing more. I've tackled the eating (more or less) so I need to move more. I've done the 30day shred just before lunch which means I also don't want to eat too much lunch. So I'm posting my stats here and will come back at the end of level 1 and post again then again at the end of each level in an effort to make it to the end this time. I've started level 1 about 6 or 7 times and never made it to level 3!

So I'm 9st 5.8, waist is 76cm, hips 94cm, arms 37 and thigh 58cm.

readyforsunshine · 10/05/2016 07:16

twinkle so it seems sw is working better for you? Are you still finding it easy?
stella that's great news, very well done you & motivation for us all!
Congrats on the interview another & good luck, fingers crossed.
bambinos I spent almost a year trying to lose those last few lbs having lost a stone & a half, before getting ill & putting on over a stoneShock my new target is the maintainable previous weight which I would now of course be delighted with! . Could you focus on fitness & toning? Maybe measure rather than weigh? Good plan hinky nothing like a little self shaming to motivateWink
I've been away again at the w/e so eating & drinking has derailed me. Back on it but out again tonight. Plan is stick to water & choose the lightest healthiest option wether I fancy it or not! I'm feeling motivated but just struggling so much with having a few good days then getting derailed. Really boring to be back where I started 2 months ago, if I'd stuck at it I build be at target now Angry

lougle · 10/05/2016 10:18

I'm puzzled. 4 days ago I was 64.5kg since then I've been 382, 340, 200 and 600 calories under my gross target of 1200 (not intentionally, 3 meals eaten each day), yet today I weighed 64.8kg.

Twinklestar2 · 10/05/2016 18:11

I'm finding it much easier, you eat mostly healthy foods so even if you do go off track the majority of the food is healthy.

OP posts:
twobambinos · 11/05/2016 09:57

Lougle don't despair. I sometimes could be 2lbs heavier today vs yesterday and wouldn't have ate 7000 kcal at all. I think that's why they say to weight at the same time every week not daily but I don't follow that either.

So I'm down to 9St 7.5 lbs today

Readyforsunshine, I'm the same I'd love to be back to my previous weight where I thought I was big Grin but I'm not happy to accept that this is my maintaining weight just yet. I am doing a fair amount of exercise so should be pretty toned and it's really just my stomach that I have an issue with. I'm between sizes mostly and I'd like to be mid bmi rather than closer to the high end. So I'm not ready to give up on the weight loss efforts just yet. It's so easy to put it on and so hard to lose!

How is everyone else getting on?

lougle · 11/05/2016 10:12

Ahh I've had the whoosh they talk of today. I'm down to my lowest yet: 64.2kg (10st 1.5lbs). So in total I've lost 5.1kg (11.2lbs) in 6 weeks 2 days. That's 1.78kg (3.92lbs) per week! I love statistics...so sad! I think that's pretty good for just healthy eating and calorie counting. No food group restriction. No meal missing or going hungry. I've still had several big pub meals. I'm pleased.

anothermadamebutterfly · 11/05/2016 17:22

lougle that is great, I was going to mention the whoosh effect after your previous message, but then started wondering whether there was actually anything to it! Seems there is.

stella, bambinos, twinkle well done, ready and hinky hang on in there.

thanks for the good wishes for the interview, I still have a few weeks so not too nervous yet, but I really want this job (I would have probably applied for it even if redundancy had not been on the cards). It is with a different organisation from mine, but one we have links with so I know a lot of the people there. It would be a slight move upwards (slightly better salary, and definitely more interesting work, but also more responsibility).

I am going to weigh myself on Friday morning.

twobambinos · 11/05/2016 17:41

It would be great to get the redundancy and the new job.

Lougle I think your maths are a bit off but a loss none the less well done Smile keep up the good work.

I'm having a bad day today. Have indulged in 3 treat size bars so I suppose it's the same as one regular Mars or something calorie wise but I'm annoyed at myself for having done it. Also no exercise today apart from walking around the shops and that wouldn't amount to much. Tomorrow will be better

anothermadamebutterfly · 11/05/2016 20:23

twobambinos, yes, that would be a great outcome Grin. Sorry that you are having a bad day - try to forget the frustration and hope tomorrow is better.

Given that lougle is probably the most successful loser on this thread, her maths clearly work in mysterious ways! I will definitely be using her methods to calculate my average weekly loss, as I think it will help me reach my goal very quickly..

lougle · 11/05/2016 20:23

Yes, I blame sleep deprivation Grin 0.8kg per week. Still...I'm pleased.

lougle · 12/05/2016 07:22

63.8kg today. Hooray! 10St.

Twinklestar2 · 12/05/2016 08:42

Yay Lougie that's my goal too Smile

OP posts:
twobambinos · 12/05/2016 09:35

Well done lougle that's fantastic congratulations.

9St 7 this morning so going the right direction just to keep it up now.

lougle · 12/05/2016 11:09

Well done to you all! It's great isn't it? I think I'm aiming for 56-58kg (8st 11lbs - 9st 1lb).

Twinklestar2 · 12/05/2016 14:52

Well done twobambinos! I would love to be 9st 7 again!

OP posts:
twobambinos · 12/05/2016 16:41

Oh lougle we have the same goal 8 11 is smack in the middle of bmi for me so that's what Im aiming for. 10 lbs to go but it will probably take me ten years ha ha

lougle · 12/05/2016 17:30

We can be goal buddies Grin. I'm 17lbs away, although that is low end BMI for my height so although I always used to be low end I may find I look right a bit sooner than that. We'll see!

Twinklestar2 · 12/05/2016 21:26

Lost half a pound which is a bit disappointing as I have been good but I had a big lunch and I'm still full!

OP posts:
lougle · 12/05/2016 21:36

Give it time - you may have a bigger loss in a day or two Smile

hinkyhonk · 12/05/2016 22:14

Keep the faith twinkle it's not a straight line thing. It will come off if you carry on. Loving the whoosh effect -never heard of it before but it definitely rings a bell. I've been cracking on with the 30 day shred. Was it you lougle who had done it and lost lots of inches? I'm doing pretty well and refuse to believe that if I carry on like this the loss won't arrive. Put a new battery in my scales as they seem to be showing a body fat figure that is too low for how I feel. It really is crazy but was worried that the weight was lower than reality but it seems to be right. Almost excited to get on the scales tomorrow to see what the number is. I feel confident based on my eating and that I've ticked off the 30DS.
