I have my first appointment with my consultant booked for three weeks time. I've done lots of research and prepping and just wondered if anyone else was in the same position? I could do with the support! Smile

3.5lb off for me (been 2 weeks) - but as I was waaaay off piste last week - I am cock-a-hoop!!! Really motivated again - holiday in 5 weeks - would be amazing to loose a stone by then.

Lonelynessie · 21/06/2016 15:13

Hi Everyone,

I'd like to join in here if that's ok? I started the plan 2 weeks ago on step 2 (I couldn't face sole source) and the first week I lost 3lbs (I know, not that much) and last week I lost 4lbs. I'm really happy with it so far (half a stone down, yes!)

I started at exactly 14st and I want to get down to around 10 stone (I'm 5'9) for my wedding next summer. I have my weigh in Friday and I'm hoping for at least 4lbs off but I know I haven't been drinking enough water so far this week, so we'll see Confused

Poppledopple · 21/06/2016 21:52

Welcome nessie - thats a great start....I am weighing in on Fri am as well so will post then as well. I was told that week 3 was particularly tough - so bear that in mind and keep pushing through - you have a great goal to work for - congratulations.

I did Cambridge a few years ago but even on stage 1 was only losing the same each week as I could on a good week on weight watchers!! I'm currently 11st 6 and would like to get to at least 10 10 for my wedding in November. Do you think it's worth giving Cambridge another try?

BabyG2004 · 22/06/2016 14:36

I have recently re-joined CD after losing over 2 stone nearly 10 years ago.
I started again yesterday so day 2 for me. I am drinking 4ltr of water and peeing all day (TMI).
Hoping to lose about 2 stone before my holiday at the end of August. I love reading all your positive posts and hope that I can do well again on this diet.xx

mckiwi07 · 22/06/2016 19:23

Great to have new people on the thread. I had a weigh in today instead of Friday and only lost 1lb as I started reintroducing food this week before I go on hol.
I'm undecided as to whether to use Cambridge again after my holiday to lose the last stone or to try slimming world.....

Poppledopple · 26/06/2016 19:09

Only 1lb this week but that takes me to 26 in 8 weeks. Also scales start with 11 and now only overweight rather than officially obese....I have another 4 weeks until holiday - so want to try to keep on and then might swap to Blood Sugar Diet for the next 2 stone....or trade up the steps on this programme as I like my counsellor and need someone to check in with each week...

Can I join in please? I started on SS on Monday 20th June. Had first weight in on Saturday - lost 6 1/2 pounds which I was pleased with for 5 days. Would love to lose 3 1/2 more stone. Feeling motivated and powering through on shakes/ bars and shed loads of water. Have to go away with work on Wed and Thursday next week which will involve 2 meals out with clients which I am apprehensive about. I am planning on doing SS+ for those days and stick to a lean protein and veg meal. I'll stay off drinking. Excited about this, clothes feeling loose already.

You are all doing so well!

Wyldfyre · 27/06/2016 13:56

I lost four stone on SS for my wedding last year, and following my honeymoon I struggled to get back into the swing of things and crept back up by three (I am a stress eater - mainly toast - and had a horrendous eight month period with work and family)

Things have finally clicked again ahead of my friend's wedding next month (though apprehensive about having to eat at the breakfast).
I was 19.11 at my heaviest and 18.11 when I restarted two weeks ago. Today I hit 17.11 (and 3/4).

BabyG2004 · 28/06/2016 13:31

1st weigh in was last night - lost 11.5lbs :-) So pleased. I have been so good - no little slips, drinking at least 4lt of water a day has helped with the hunger pangs. Lucky not to have had any headaches either. I am well aware that my weight lose next week might well be zero but I will stay focused. It is an expensive diet so need to make it work. Stay focused everyone. :-) x

Wyldfyre · 28/06/2016 14:53

It's suppose to be four pints (2.2ltr), not 4ltrs. Water poisoning is actually possible.

Congrats on the weight loss though

croon979 · 02/07/2016 21:47

2nd weigh in today, another 4 1/2 lbs down (11 lbs in total). Very pleased as I had a business trip in the middle of the week which involved me starting from the plan slightly. Back on it completely now though. Feeling really good.

WeCouldBeHeroes · 10/07/2016 07:23

Hi all,

Has anyone platoued on Cambridge before? I haven't lost anything this week and I have been starving myself! Any encouragement much appreciated!

mckiwi07 · 22/07/2016 17:35

Well I had my first weigh in for a month today following a 2 week holiday abroad and have gained 1lb! Totally delighted with that. I have been mindful about what I have been eating but not overly strict. I am going to try to lose another stone myself to get to target as my finances aren't really going to stretch to Cambridge at the moment. My plan is having smaller portions, very few snacks and weighing myself every day as this seems to help my reign myself in if I have overindulge one day.

How is everyone else doing?

croon979 · 25/07/2016 22:19

I am now 18lbs down - pleased with that and hoping gif a good focused week

poppledopple · 06/09/2016 21:28

I have had nearly 8 weeks off due to major life issue (now resolving) - I have eaten and drunk like a pig in that time which is worrying - but I started back again last night - and have only put on 1.5lb - when I had assumed it felt like at least half a stone. So I am delighted. Day one back on it again. Has been fine.....looking ahead as a 6 week block to shift a stone and a bit by half term - so that I will be in 10s. Anyone else want to hold hands?

cj7689 · 07/09/2016 23:03

Hi PoppleDopple.

I have my consultation tomorrow! If all goes to plan then I will be starting the diet on Monday as I have a trip to the races planned this weekend and there is no way I am missing out on one last booze up! I have never done this diet before, have a few friends that have done really well on it and have managed to keep the weight off so I am feeling really positive. Have heard the first few days are tough but it gets easier. Hope that's true!

Anyways, I will take your hand if you want!

😊😊

I know it has gone a bit quiet in here, but I have started this too.
