I have my first appointment with my consultant booked for three weeks time. I've done lots of research and prepping and just wondered if anyone else was in the same position? I could do with the support! Smile

Mine is my best friend .... She has lost 12 st recently . ( I think - well it was lots)

She has been very patient with me not starting straight away

billabye · 06/01/2016 08:56

My consultant is nice and I'd say pretty supportive.

Second day today and feeling ok. Felt a bit rough yesterday afternoon but water and painkillers helped. Also an early night.

The spaghetti pack is very nice and much more substantial than the soups and shakes. It has a bit of a sweet taste but black pepper and chili flakes take care of that.

Hope everyone has a good day Smile

Day one of operation 'shift this shit'

Breakfast - plain porridge -Confusedboak - could only face a couple of spoons then threw it away

Mid morning - choc shake - was ok. Will make sure water is really cold next time and put extra water in

Lunch - Mac cheese - surprisingly ok - added chili flakes and cooked for longer.

Tea - chicken breast and a mixed salad from the list

Lots of water and green tea - pissing for England.

I am not a ready meal/shake person. But apart from the porridge it was palatable.

Spoken to my cons and I can change my pouches to stuff I will like .

Day two tomorrow!

billabye · 06/01/2016 19:22

20th I put mixed spice into the porridge. I don't like it plain but enjoy it with the spice. Maybe worth a try again in a couple of weeks.

Day one has arrived!

I met my consultant for the first time his morning was weighed and measured and got all my products for the week. Quite excited now!

I am going to tell you what I weigh as part of my accountability. I'd love hear how you are all getting on too!

I weighin at 16st 9lb. The heaviest I have EVER been and I will never see that number on the scales again. I'm so determined!

I've come home and had my first shake, chocolate mint. It's great! No funny taste or lingering after taste. I'm excited to try other flavours now.

I purchased a Breville Blend Active to mix my shakes and added some ice to make it really cold and smooth.

All in all, so far so good.

How is everyone else doing? Any weigh ins yet?

I have slipped already! Going to start on Monday again. Don't see my consultant till Thursday as I have some unused shakes from before. Then it needs to be full steam ahead!

Try the mint chocolate shakes with hot water, it's like hot chocolate - lovely! It's my favourite.

Good luck for the weekend!

NickNacks · 08/01/2016 19:08

Good luck newme for your restart on Monday. Flowers

Second shake was strawberry and that was yummy too. Final one that I'm having at 8pm will be vanilla I think.

I'm hungry but it's manageable. No other side effects right now so easy to distract myself. Tomorrow is another day and I'm excited to move forward.

Day 2-

I'm still feeling ok, but if a headache but nothing major. I'm not starving, a little hungry and I could definitely eat but willpower is so strong I won't cave. I just tidied the kitchen from DH cooking for himself and the kids last night and found a piece of birthday cake that I meant to eat on Thursday evening but forgot. Felt really gutted and wanted to scoff it but I have just wrapped it up and put it away for kids' dessert later. It's made me salivate though!

How is everyone else doing?

StDogolphin · 09/01/2016 19:29

I have been doing this since Monday when the children went back to school. So far so good. I like the chocolate shake with hot water. I love the Spaghetti!

billabye · 09/01/2016 21:44

I'm doing ok. Plodding along but I find the weekends hard. I'm also enjoying the hot shakes. The mint choc one is lovely. Hope everyone else is getting along ok.

NickNacks · 10/01/2016 14:41

I think I will try a hot shake tonight, good idea! Probably the toffee and walnut one. I have a pretty wide range of different shakes and I'm trying to have them all at least once before my consultant emails me for next weeks order.

Day 3- all going quite well! I'm feeling a bit weak energy wise but I went to a party last night and didn't touch the (chef prepared) buffet or have any cake, just sipped water with ice and lemon. So proud of myself. DH was a gem and didn't eat either as an act of support. He's been great. My willpower is rock solid. Can't say I feel any thinner yet, but I am a bit impatient.

Has anyone had a first weigh in yet?

OP posts:
billabye · 10/01/2016 16:18

My first weigh in is tomorrow 9am.

Well done NickNacks for not eating the buffet and that was lovely of your DH. I sat through my DP and DD eating a huge breakfast at the garden centre this morning. It was hard but I survived.

How has everyone else found the weekend?

NickNacks · 10/01/2016 17:03

Are you excited for your weigh in? It will be such a morale boost when you see the scales. Good luck for it!

I did try the hot toffee and walnut and hated it. In fact after a couple of sips I chucked it and made a different (cold) one.

I also wonder if I'm entering ketosis- I have aching muscles, a little dizziness and a metallic taste and dry mouth which I believe are all signs of it. Fingers crossed!

OP posts:
billabye · 10/01/2016 17:12

Yes I am looking forward to my weigh in. Never did at weightwatchers!

Yes that sounds like ketosis to me. I hate that dry mouth taste and feeling but at least it means you'll be dropping the pounds Smile

Supernanny19 · 10/01/2016 20:55

I'm also weighing in tomorrow although at 7.30pm. So excited!

FatRun · 10/01/2016 21:02

I'm on Cambridge at the moment - I am on and off it, have used it primarily for weight maintenance lately but am now going to go full throttle and get into ketosis and shift a couple of stone. Today I have fasted - always find it easier to fast before starting on packs, don't know why. I exclusively have the chocolate tetras. 3 a day (sole source) and shit loads of water throughout the day. Cambridge works fabulously for me. If I stick to it 100% I can normally get rid of 2 stone in about 5 weeks

Would like to keep this thread alive as VLCD ones so often wither and die on MN! Shall be checking in regularly!

NickNacks · 10/01/2016 21:29

Good luck too supernanny

No hope of this withering and dying fatrun because if it does then that means I have failed. I have exactly 20 weeks to lose as much as possible, my target weight is 80lbs away and although I won't lose that much I am going on holiday I would like to be as close to target as possible. I have willpower of steel and so excited!

Let's kick this!

OP posts:
FatRun · 10/01/2016 21:30

Glad to hear it Nick! 20 weeks I reckon you can do 4 stone no trouble! It gets so much easier once you're into ketosis, which it sounds like you are! I think as much as you can keep your mind off it, the better. Smile

billabye · 10/01/2016 21:32

Hi Supernanny and Fatrun Smile

Newme2016 · 10/01/2016 21:32

Well done everyone, you have survived the weekend!

Can't wait to get started tomorrow as I have booked my holidays today for the summer! Need to get serious now.

I like the tetras too, no hassle at all. Usually have one of these in the morning.

Will look forward to hearing how everyone has done this week x

billabye · 11/01/2016 09:47

6 pounds off in 6 days

Not as much as some people lose in first week but average for me on Cambridge so Grin

NickNacks · 11/01/2016 09:49

That's amazing! Well done billabye. If someone told me at the beginning I could lose a pound a day on any diet I'd take that! Grin

OP posts:
billabye · 11/01/2016 09:58

Even though the diet is very tough the results are good. Last year I faded around at weight watchers for 3 months and don't think I lost 6 pounds as it wasn't strict enough and too easy to cheat.

billabye · 11/01/2016 09:59

*faffed

Supernanny19 · 11/01/2016 09:59

14lbs in 6 days!!!!!!!!!!!! If anyone is on Instagram I'm cwpfairy.
